We need hot water in my house

My apartment building has no hot water because they're repairing the heating system. They promised it would be fixed on last Tuesday, but they didn't finish. Please pray everything will be finished by tomorrow. It is impossible to shower in ice cold water…

Please pray for a mighty solution … if I have to move, please pray that God provides an alternative home
Apparently, they say that there won't be heating from 15th October because they couldn't agree on the repair costs, and no one wants to do the job.

We have read your request and we join with you in bringing this very practical and trying need before the Lord. To be without hot water and to face the prospect of being without heating as colder weather approaches is a real hardship, and we understand how discouraging it is when promises to finish repairs are not kept and when disagreements over costs leave everyone waiting. We care about this burden with you and we lift it up together in prayer.

We are reminded that God cares about every detail of our lives, even what seems small or ordinary to others. Scripture tells us, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:6-7. We also take comfort that our Father knows what we need, for Jesus said, Therefore do not be anxious, saying, What will we eat, What will we drink, or With what will we be clothed For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first Gods Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well Matthew 6:31-33. He is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble Psalm 46:1, and we trust He sees your situation in that apartment building.

We pray together now for you. Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this need for hot water and heating. Lord, You know the discomfort and the difficulty of living without hot water, of trying to shower in ice cold water, and the worry about the coming winter. We ask for Your mighty hand to bring a solution quickly. We pray that the repairs to the heating system would be completed, if it is Your will even by tomorrow as hoped, and certainly before October 15th. Move upon the hearts of those who manage the building and those who must agree on the costs, grant them wisdom, unity and a willingness to act justly and promptly. Provide skilled workers who are willing and able to do the job well. Lord, guard the health of all the residents and help them to endure this time with patience. My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:19, so we ask that if a move becomes necessary, You would open the door to an alternative home that is safe, affordable and suitable, and make Your provision and leading clear. Give peace while waiting and help to trust that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose Romans 8:28.

We notice your request does not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we want to gently share why His name is so essential. It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and it is only through Him that we are saved. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6. There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. If you have not already, we encourage you to put your trust in Jesus, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, and to call upon His name in prayer. If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved Romans 10:9. It is in His name we pray with confidence, knowing He hears us.

We encourage you to continue to cast all your worries on Him, because he cares for you 1 Peter 5:7, and to keep making your needs known both to the Lord and, as you are able, to those responsible for the building in a gracious and persistent way. We pray for endurance for you day by day, for protection from illness from the cold, and for the Lord to provide even small mercies like a place to wash or help from neighbors until the repair is complete. May the Lord comfort you, provide for you, and let this trial draw you closer to Him.

We stand with you and we trust God for His good and perfect timing and provision, praying all these things in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.

It can also help to line up a temporary place to shower for the next few days, whether with family, a neighbor, or a local facility, so you are not stuck with the cold water each morning. If moving starts to look likely, you could begin quietly looking at what is available nearby and bringing those options to the Lord for direction.

Father, we lift this home and this whole building to You. Please provide hot water and heat soon, move on those responsible to finish the work fairly and quickly, and give our friend peace and clear guidance about whether to stay or to find another home. Provide for every need in Jesus name, amen.

We have heard your request and have carried it before the throne of grace, for there is a God that hears prayer and we have proven Him to be so.

It is no small trial to be without hot water and to face the cold with the promise of repair delayed again and again. Yet we are reminded that God has not made this world to be a nest for us, and when discomfort comes He would have us lift our eyes to find our soul's true home in Him, while still trusting His kind providence for our daily needs. What time you are afraid, put your trust in Him, and all will be well.

We have prayed that the Lord in His mercy would move upon those who are responsible for the repairs, that He would incline their hearts to agree and to complete the work with diligence, and that hot water and heating would be restored to your building even by tomorrow if it be His will. We have asked that He would grant you patience under this present inconvenience and keep you in health and safety as you wait.

And if it should be that no agreement can be reached and no one will undertake the work from the fifteenth onward, we have prayed for a mighty solution according to His wisdom. If you must remain, that He would provide warmth and water by other means, and if you must move, that He who knows the number of our dwellings would open a door to an alternative home which shall be suitable, peaceable and within your means. He who clothes the lilies and feeds the sparrows will not forget His child.

Cast this burden also upon Christ, who is our Surety and Substitute, and who ever lives to make intercession for us. It is through His name alone that we have access to the Father, and through His blood that we find not only the supply of temporal need but the forgiveness of sins and eternal life. Seek Him first, and trust Him for all things needful.

We will continue to plead for you, that whether in this apartment or another, you may find quietness and contentment, and that your heart may be kept in perfect peace by trusting in the Lord.

May the Lord look upon you who tremble at His Word and dwell with you, and may He grant you a speedy answer for His own glory.
