We need hot water in my house

Kensem

Beloved of All
My apartment building has no hot water because they're repairing the heating system. They promised it would be fixed on last Tuesday, but they didn't finish. Please pray everything will be finished by tomorrow. It is impossible to shower in ice cold water…

Please pray for a mighty solution … if I have to move, please pray that God provides an alternative home
Apparently, they say that there won't be heating from 15th October because they couldn't agree on the repair costs, and no one wants to do the job.

We hear your distress and we stand with you in prayer over this very practical and uncomfortable trial, for we know that our God cares about even the daily details of our lives and our comfort in our homes.

We are reminded that we can bring every need to Him, for He invites us to cast all our worries on Him because He cares for us as it says in 1 Peter 5:7. We also take comfort in Philippians 4:6-7, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. And Psalm 46:1 tells us God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. He is not distant from this cold water and uncertain heating situation, He is present with you in it.

We also noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to gently encourage you that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and that our prayers are heard. Jesus said in John 14:6, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 says There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. We encourage you to put your trust in Jesus Christ, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, for through Him we have not only salvation for eternity but also bold access to bring every need before God.

We pray together for you now. Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and lift up this dear one who is without hot water and facing uncertainty about heating. Lord, You know the frustration of waiting since last Tuesday and the discomfort of ice cold water, and You know the anxiety about October 15th and the disagreement over repair costs. We ask for Your mighty intervention, Lord. We pray that You would move on the hearts of the building owners, the managers, and the workers, that they would come to agreement quickly and that the work would be completed by tomorrow as hoped. Soften hearts that are stubborn over money and give wisdom and willingness to those who can do the job. We pray for provision and for justice, that what is needed for the building to be warm and habitable would be supplied. Your Word promises in Philippians 4:19, My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus, and we claim that for this situation. If it is Your will that a move is necessary, we pray that You would go before this dear one and provide an alternative home that is safe, affordable, warm, and peaceful, and make the way clear. We pray for Your peace to guard their heart while they wait, and for practical help in the meantime, whether through temporarily heating water, help from neighbors, or understanding from authorities. We trust that even this difficulty You can work for good as Romans 8:28 says, We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose. Give endurance, comfort, and a sense of Your nearness through this cold season. We ask all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus, amen.

We encourage you to continue to make your needs known both to God and to those responsible for the building, keep a written record of communications, seek advice from local tenant help if available, and lean on fellow believers or neighbors for temporary help with showering or warming water if possible. Keep seeking Him first, trusting that your heavenly Father knows you need these things, for as Matthew 6:31-33 says, Therefore don’t be anxious, saying, What will we eat, What will we drink or With what will we be clothed For the Gentiles seek after all these things, for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom, and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. We are praying with you for a swift and complete restoration of hot water and heating.

We can imagine how draining these past days have been without hot water. Trying to shower in ice cold water wears you down quickly, and when a promised repair date passes with no clear update, it leaves you feeling stuck and on edge. It makes sense you are also carrying worry about heating after October 15.

We are praying with you for a workable solution soon, whether that is the crew finally finishing the repair or, if a move is needed, the Lord making the next home clear and attainable. Housing uncertainty is heavy to carry, and we are asking God to give you steadiness and wisdom while you wait.

A small step that sometimes helps with a building-wide issue is to ask the manager or building office for the current plan in writing, even a short email with the next expected date and what is holding things up. Having it in writing gives you something solid to refer to, and if you need to, you can share it with a local tenant advice office to understand your options before mid October. Talking with neighbors who are in the same situation can also help you share information and not carry the checking on your own.

Father, in Jesus' name we lift this need to You. You see the cold, the inconvenience, and the worry about the weeks ahead. We ask for wisdom and willingness for those responsible for the repairs, and for clear guidance and provision for our friend, that the next right step would become clear. Give peace in the waiting. Amen.

Your present trial, though it may seem small to others, has been heard before the throne of grace, and we have carried your need to the Lord who knows that you have need of these things before you tell Him.

It is no little affliction to be without hot water and to face the cold, and to have the promise broken that the work would be finished on Tuesday. The uncertainty about the heating after the 15th of October, when men cannot agree upon the cost and no one will take up the work, adds care to care. Yet the believer sees God in all the good or ill that checkers life, and believes that He is as truly God in the valley of discomfort as He is upon the hill of abundance. He is the God of the hills and the God of the valleys, and He will work your deliverance in every time of need.

We have prayed that the Lord would move the hearts and hands of those appointed to this repair, that what has been delayed may be completed speedily, and if it be His will, by tomorrow. We have asked that He would give wisdom and agreement where there has been division about the cost, and that He would incline those who are able to do the work to do it faithfully and well. Remember that where God begins to work, He does not ask us to finish. He always completes His own work, and we may trust Him to provide what is needful for the body as well as for the soul.

We have prayed also, as you asked, for a mighty solution if you must move. Your heavenly Father pleads your cause. You are content to be in just such a place as God would put you, and now is the time to exercise faith upon a living God. If He would have you remain, we pray He would restore warmth and water to your dwelling. If He would have you go, we pray He would open a door to another home, suitable and peaceable, and make your way plain. He knows how to guide and to feed and to bring His children home.

Do not give up prayer if the answer tarries. The godly in their anguish turn to the hand which smites them, and cry, My God, My God, again and again. Deal with God as you would have your children deal with you. If He says He will save you if you trust Him through the blood of Jesus Christ, then trust Him. And in these lesser things, trust Him also, for no man can truly trust God who does not love Him, and those that have trusted Him find Him to be as real as if they could see Him.

May the Lord grant you present peace while you wait, and keep you from fretting about worldly things, and teach you His statutes even in this waiting. May He keep your heart stayed upon Christ, who alone is the way of salvation, and who has obtained eternal salvation through His one offering, and may you rejoice in hope of the glory of God while He supplies your daily need.

We continue to bear you before the Lord, that His will may be done in your habitation and that you may see His hand of mercy in providing either restoration where you are, or provision if you must be removed.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
