Beloved of All
😴 Warning Dreams form Holy Spirit While Sleeping, Job 33:12-17; Matt 2:12, Prophecy, Joel 2:28, Numb 12:6, Acts 16:9 🧎🏽‍♂️Father, we come as little children in faith, contrary to all we see and hear, and thank You, "You are able to save forever those who come to God through Jesus, because He lives to make intercession for us," Heb 7:25, c.f. Rom 8:34.

We ask, with this husband for his wife, You give her a warning dream, as it is written in Job 33:14, "For God does speak—now one way, now another—though no one perceives it. 15 In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falls on people, as they slumber in their beds, 16 He may speak in their ears and terrify them with warnings, 17 to turn them from wrongdoing and keep them from pride, 18 to preserve them from the pit, their lives from perishing by the sword." Again, as with the affairs concerning our father, Abraham, Gen 20:3, like him we are fully persuaded You are able to fulfill what You promise, Rom 4:21. Pour out Your Holy Spirit on her, as prophesied in in Joel 2:28, “And afterward, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your old will dream dreams, your youth will see visions. 29 Even on my servants, both men and women, I will pour out my Spirit in those days," Joel 2:28-29, c.f. Acts 2:17-18. Father, with humble confidence, give her, them, us dreams and visions underlining your will for us in Christ Jesus, as You have done from ancient times on those saved Matt 1:20, Matt 2:12, and unsaved alike, Gen 20:3, Gen 31:24, Dan 2:1, Dan 4:5, until present, Acts 19:6, and You will continue to though the future, Heb 13:8. Your arm is not too short, Num 11:23, especially to save, Isa 50:2, Isa 59:1.

Again, as little children, "we know You can do all things,"Job 42:2, That "nothing shall be impossible with God," Luke 1:27, "The things impossible with man are possible with God," Mark 10:27. Keep her, him, and us from temptation, sin, evil, wrongdoing, lies, fear, evil people, deception, and the evil one, Lk 11:4, 1 Cor 8:1, Zeph 3:13, 2 Cor 13:7, 2 Cor 11:6, 2 Tim 3:5, 2 Tim 3:13, Tit 1:16, 2 Thes 3:2, Matt 24:4, Rev 12:9, Matt 6:13, John 17:15, 2 Thes 3:3. Thank You in in advance, Mark 11:24, Heb 11:6, Jesus' Name, Amen, Rev 3:14, 2 Cor 1:20...

We join you as little children before our Father in faith, and we thank you for coming boldly through Jesus Christ on behalf of your wife and your marriage. It is beautiful to see a husband interceding for his wife, for this is the calling of a godly husband to love his wife as Christ loved the church and to wash her with the word, and we praise God for your heart to see her kept from wrongdoing and from pride and preserved from the pit.

We agree with you that our God is able and that nothing is impossible with Him. As you have quoted, For God speaks once, yes twice, though man pays no attention. In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falls on men, in slumbering on the bed; then he opens the ears of men, and seals their instruction, that he may withdraw man from his purpose, and hide pride from man. Job 33:14-17. And we remember how Being warned in a dream that they should not return to Herod, they went back to their own country another way. Matt 2:12, and how He said, Hear now my words. If there is a prophet among you, I Yahweh will make myself known to him in a vision. I will speak with him in a dream. Num 12:6, and how A vision appeared to Paul in the night. There was a man of Macedonia standing, begging him, and saying, Come over into Macedonia and help us. Acts 16:9. We also hold fast to the promise It will happen afterward, that I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh; and your sons and your daughters will prophesy. Your old men will dream dreams. Your young men will see visions. Joel 2:28, which was poured out at Pentecost as Peter declared in Acts 2:17.

We also gently encourage you to keep the Word of God as the sure and primary voice of the Holy Spirit in your lives. While God is sovereign and can speak in a dream to warn, to direct, or to comfort as He wills, His written Word is our lamp and our test for every dream, vision, and prophecy. God, having in the past spoken to the fathers through the prophets at many times and in various ways, has at the end of these days spoken to us by his Son. Heb 1:1-2. And Every Scripture is God-breathed and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work. 2 Tim 3:16-17. Your word is a lamp to my feet, and a light for my path. Ps 119:105. For this reason we are told Beloved, don't believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God. 1 John 4:1, and that we should hold fast to what is good and to test all things against Scripture, for even dreams can come from many sources, from the Lord, from our own hearts and anxieties, or from the deceiver.

So we do not seek dreams above Christ, we seek Christ Himself, and we ask the Holy Spirit to make your wife and you sensitive to His leading in whatever way He chooses to speak, whether through the Scriptures, through wise counsel, through the still small voice of conviction, or indeed through a warning dream if it is His will to preserve her from temptation and wrongdoing.

We rejoice that you have come in the name of Jesus, for Therefore he is also able to save to the uttermost those who draw near to God through him, seeing that he lives forever to make intercession for them. Heb 7:25, and Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6. It is only through that name that we have access and confidence to ask for such things, and we thank God that you know this.

We pray together with you now.

Father, we come to You in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son who lives to make intercession for us. We thank You that You are able to keep us from stumbling and that Your arm is not shortened that it cannot save. We lift up this husband and his wife to You. Pour out Your Spirit upon them and give them wisdom that comes from above. If it is Your will, speak to her in the night as You have spoken to Your people of old, open her ears and seal Your instruction upon her heart, to turn her from any wrongdoing, to hide pride from her, to preserve her life from the pit, and to keep her from temptation and from the evil one. Make any dream or vision clearly from You and clearly understood, and give her and her husband discernment to test it by Your Word. Above all, draw them both deeper into Your Word, that they may hear Your voice daily and walk in Your truth. Keep them from deception, from fear, from lies, and from the schemes of the enemy. Establish their marriage on Christ, make them one in purpose to honor You, and let their home be filled with faith, humility, and obedience. We ask believing that You hear us, for Therefore I tell you, all things whatever you pray and ask for, believe that you have received them, and you shall have them. Mark 11:24. We trust not in a sign but in You, the living God who can do all things. We ask this in the mighty and saving name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

We hear the love and burden in your prayer for your wife, wanting so much for her to be kept close to the Lord and turned from anything that would harm her. It is a good and tender thing to bring her before the Father as His child, trusting that He hears and that He is able to keep and guide her.

We know that desire for a clear sign or a dream that would make His will unmistakable can feel very strong, especially when you are concerned for someone you love. At the same time we have found that learning to recognize God's guidance is often a longer, quieter process, shaped over time through prayer, staying in His Word together when you can, and walking with other faithful believers who know you both. That steady seeking helps keep our hearts from leaning only on a single experience and helps us test what we sense with wisdom and peace.

If it would help, continue to pray as you are, and also look for gentle, ordinary ways to share your care with her. Let her know how you are praying and why, without pressure, and keep inviting her into prayer and Scripture with you. If worry remains heavy, it can help to talk with a trusted pastor who knows you both and can walk with you in person.

Father, we lift this husband and his wife to You. Keep them both from evil and deception, guard their hearts and minds, and draw them closer to You and to each other. Give them wisdom, unity, and a clear sense of Your leading day by day. We trust them to Your faithful care in Jesus' name, amen.

Your coming as little children in faith is well pleasing to God, for except we be converted and become as little children we shall not enter into the kingdom. We have heard your earnest petition with thanksgiving that Jesus ever lives to make intercession for those who come unto God by Him, and that He is able to save them to the uttermost. Hebrews 7:25 is a sure anchor, and Romans 8:34 reminds us that Christ who died and is risen again is even at the right hand of God making intercession for us.

You ask that the Lord would speak in the night season and give warning dreams, and you rightly remember that God has in times past spoken in a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falls upon men. Job 33 and the histories of Abraham, of Joseph and of Daniel show that the arm of the Lord is not shortened that it cannot save, and that what is impossible with man is possible with God. Yet we must remember how the Holy Spirit now most surely speaks.

The Holy Spirit is not merely a sacred influence, but a Divine Person, very God of very God, who has condescended to make the narrow heart of man His palace. That He should dwell in such a cottage, so unholy and unclean apart from His grace, is tender and touching. And this blessed Spirit is grieved by our unbelief and by unholiness of life. When Christian men walk not according to the Gospel, when there is bitterness, wrath, anger and evil speaking, the Holy Spirit is much displeased. I know that too often we have grieved that sacred dove, and our marvel is that He has not taken His flight and left us to ourselves.

What then does the Holy Spirit do. He glorifies Christ. He takes of the things of Christ and shows them unto us. He removes the veil from our heart that we may see Christ. When you are dealing with the things of Christ, you are on Holy Spirit ground, you are following the track of the Holy Spirit. Only that which is born of the Spirit is spirit, and a holy life is the workmanship of the Holy Spirit. Without His breath there is no life for the soul, and without His power the means of grace are nothing.

Therefore we do not teach you to seek after dreams and visions as though the Spirit were bound to give them at our bidding. The special voice of the Holy Spirit in this day of grace is that word which says, Today if ye will hear His voice. As the Holy Spirit says, Today. He speaks still in the inspired Scriptures, and every passage of the sacred Book is His utterance. To pray in the Holy Spirit is to pray in His power and by His help, for the carnal mind knows nothing of this, but regenerate men are cognizant of communications between their spirits and the Holy Spirit who is now resident in the midst of the Church. He helps our infirmities and teaches us how to pray according to the will of God.

So we will pray with you and for you, not dictating to the Lord how He must speak, but entirely dependent upon Him. We ask the Father in the name of Jesus that He would pour out His Spirit upon this husband and wife, that they may be born again and kept by that same supernatural power, that they may live in the Spirit and not fulfil the desires of the flesh. We ask that the Holy Spirit would glorify Christ to them, revealing His blood and righteousness, His power to save and to keep from the pit. We ask that He would preserve them from temptation and from the evil one, from lies and deception and from pride which goes before a fall, and keep their feet from stumbling in darkness.

May the Lord grant that you grieve not the Holy Spirit, but walk humbly and holily before Him, giving yourselves up fully to His divine anointing and bedewing. Hear His voice today in the Word, obey it at once, and trust not in a dream apart from that Word, but in Christ Himself who is the same yesterday and today and forever. He who has promised is able also to perform it, and He will do all that is for your good and His glory.

We join our faith with yours, asking in humble confidence that the Lord will keep this covenant home in His fear and love, that husband and wife may be one in Christ, cleaving to Him and to one another according to His holy ordinance, and that you all may be kept from wrongdoing and preserved unto His heavenly kingdom.

May the Lord grant you to know that you have received the Holy Spirit since you believed, and to live in His power, to the praise of Christ our Redeemer. Amen.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your prayer has been received and we join you in thanking God that Jesus lives to make intercession for those who come to God through Him, as Hebrews 7:25 and Romans 8:34 teach. We share your confidence that nothing is impossible with God and that His arm is not too short to save.

We also hear your desire for your wife to be kept from wrongdoing, pride, temptation and deception, and to be preserved from the pit. That is a good and loving prayer for a husband to pray for his wife, for marriage is a holy covenant and husband and wife are called to help one another toward holiness, to remain faithful and to be reconciled and steadfast in love.

At the same time Scripture calls us to sobriety of mind and to a waking, watchful faith. God indeed spoke in dreams in the history of salvation, to Joseph and to others, and He is sovereign to warn and to direct as He wills. Yet the ordinary and sure way He guides His people now is through His written Word and by His Spirit forming virtue in us while we are awake. We are taught to put off imaginings and to shake off deep slumber, to be clothed in virtue as garments and to do the works of the day. To seek a particular dream on demand can lead us away from that sober watchfulness, while to seek Christ Himself, His truth and His way of escape in temptation, keeps us on solid ground.

The Scriptures promise that no temptation has taken you but such as is common to all, and that God is faithful. He will not suffer you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it. This is our hope, not that we will be spared all trial, but that in trial we will be kept, humbled, and made more glorious through endurance. Many have griefs at home, some for a wife, some for a child, some for other losses, and we are not alone in sorrow. In the season of temptation we are called not to make haste, but to be patient, to pray, and to live a pure and bright life, for right faith profits little unless good works and holy living are present with it.

So we pray with you not for a sign to be granted on our terms, but for God in His wisdom to do what is best to keep you both:

Father, in the name of Jesus, we thank You that You are able to save to the uttermost. Keep this husband and wife from temptation, from sin and evil, from lies and deception and from the evil one. Make them attentive to Your Word, quick to hear Your voice in Scripture, and faithful to turn from wrongdoing and pride. Where there is danger, provide the way of escape. Where there is weakness, give strength to endure. Grant them a sober mind, a pure life, and love that holds fast within the covenant of marriage, that they may live in a way pleasing to You and may boldly look to Christ. We ask this trusting Your goodness and power, knowing You hear those who come to You through Your Son. Amen.

Your prayer coming as a little child in simple faith is heard, and it is right to thank God that Jesus lives to intercede for those who come to God through Him. He is able to save completely, and nothing is impossible with Him. What is impossible with people is possible with God, and His arm is not too short to save.

You have asked that God would speak in a dream to warn and to turn a heart from wrongdoing and pride and to preserve a life from the pit. Scripture does show that God has spoken in dreams, in the night when deep sleep falls, to warn and to turn people from evil. We see this with Abimelech in the days of Abraham, with Joseph, with the wise men who were warned in a dream, and with others. Job describes how God speaks in this way to turn a person from wrong and to keep them from destruction, and Joel foretold that God would pour out His Spirit and that dreams and visions would accompany that outpouring. God is sovereign and He can speak however He chooses, and He still warns today.

At the same time His clearest and most certain warning voice is His Word, and His will in Christ Jesus is not hidden. He warns plainly against sexual promiscuity and against being drawn after another person outside of marriage, and He encourages a husband and wife to find their full satisfaction in one another. From the beginning His design was that a man leave his father and mother and cleave to his wife and the two become one flesh. Within that covenant He gives good gifts, and every good and perfect gift comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variableness or shadow of turning. He does not change, and His goodness and grace toward His people do not change.

Temptation itself is not sin. Even Jesus was tempted, and the temptation often presents itself as a promise of immediate fulfillment if we will just turn aside from God's path. The enemy suggested to Jesus that He could have the kingdoms apart from the cross. The sin is not in being tempted, but in giving in to the desire of the flesh when lust is conceived. That is why Scripture urges us to flee youthful lusts and to flee the place of temptation. It takes more courage to run than to yield. Any dead fish can float downstream, it takes a living one to swim upstream. Joseph is a clear example. He was not spared from hardship, false accusation, or strong temptation, for in this world we will have tribulation and being a Christian is not immunity from problems. When his master's wife sought to entice him day after day, he refused and said how can I do this great wickedness and sin against God, and he ran from her presence. We are called to the same decisiveness.

True victory is not only outward restraint but an inward work. We have been crucified with Christ and raised with Him, and we are to reckon ourselves dead to sin and alive to God. While we are in these bodies the desires of the body will still be present and temptation will come, but we do not have to be mastered by the flesh. Each time temptation comes we choose whether to yield or to live unto God.

So we join you in praying that God in His mercy would warn, convict, and keep both husband and wife from temptation, from sin and wrongdoing, from lies and deception, from fear and evil people, and from the evil one. We pray that He would guard your marriage, that He would help you both to cherish His good gift of marriage and to find joy and faithfulness in one another, and that He would preserve you from the pit and draw you closer to Jesus. We pray that whatever means God uses, whether through His Word brought to the heart, through the conviction of the Spirit, or through a dream in the night, He would make His will unmistakably clear and give grace to turn from pride and to walk in purity.

We thank Him in advance, trusting that He hears those who come through Christ, and we ask all this in Jesus' name.

We thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf and we are glad that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. We have been lifting up your request before the Father with you, coming as little children in faith and asking Him to speak to your wife as you asked, to give her a warning dream from the Holy Spirit while sleeping, to speak in her ears and turn her from wrongdoing and preserve her as promised in Job 33:14.

We continue to pray that the Lord will pour out His Spirit upon her and upon your family as He has promised in Joel 2:28, and that He will make His will known to her through dreams and visions as He did in Matt 2:12 and as He speaks even now, for His arm is not too short to save according to Isa 59:1 and nothing is impossible with God according to Luke 1:37. We are asking Him to keep her and you and all of us from temptation and evil and deception and to draw her close to Himself through Jesus who lives to make intercession for us according to Heb 7:25.

If your request was answered and the Lord has spoken to your wife in a dream or vision or has poured out His Spirit upon her in a evident way, please post a praise report and let us all know so we may rejoice with you. If your request does not seem to have been answered yet, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer and to keep standing in agreement for her.

We pray together that the Father will continue to speak, to warn, to preserve and to guide her according to His perfect will in Christ Jesus.

May God bless you as you continue to seek Him through His Son, Jesus Christ. We pray this in Jesus Name, Amen.
