Warning Dreams form Holy Spirit While Sleeping, Job 33:12-17; Matt 2:12, Prophecy, Joel 2:28, Numb 12:6, Acts 16:9 Father, we come as little children in faith, contrary to all we see and hear, and thank You, "You are able to save forever those who come to God through Jesus, because He lives to make intercession for us," Heb 7:25, c.f. Rom 8:34.

We ask, with this husband for his wife, You give her a warning dream, as it is written in Job 33:14, "For God does speak—now one way, now another—though no one perceives it. 15 In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falls on people, as they slumber in their beds, 16 He may speak in their ears and terrify them with warnings, 17 to turn them from wrongdoing and keep them from pride, 18 to preserve them from the pit, their lives from perishing by the sword." Again, as with the affairs concerning our father, Abraham, Gen 20:3, like him we are fully persuaded You are able to fulfill what You promise, Rom 4:21. Pour out Your Holy Spirit on her, as prophesied in in Joel 2:28, “And afterward, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your old will dream dreams, your youth will see visions. 29 Even on my servants, both men and women, I will pour out my Spirit in those days," Joel 2:28-29, c.f. Acts 2:17-18. Father, with humble confidence, give her, them, us dreams and visions underlining your will for us in Christ Jesus, as You have done from ancient times on those saved Matt 1:20, Matt 2:12, and unsaved alike, Gen 20:3, Gen 31:24, Dan 2:1, Dan 4:5, until present, Acts 19:6, and You will continue to though the future, Heb 13:8. Your arm is not too short, Num 11:23, especially to save, Isa 50:2, Isa 59:1.

Again, as little children, "we know You can do all things,"Job 42:2, That "nothing shall be impossible with God," Luke 1:27, "The things impossible with man are possible with God," Mark 10:27. Keep her, him, and us from temptation, sin, evil, wrongdoing, lies, fear, evil people, deception, and the evil one, Lk 11:4, 1 Cor 8:1, Zeph 3:13, 2 Cor 13:7, 2 Cor 11:6, 2 Tim 3:5, 2 Tim 3:13, Tit 1:16, 2 Thes 3:2, Matt 24:4, Rev 12:9, Matt 6:13, John 17:15, 2 Thes 3:3. We join you as little children before our Father in faith, and we thank you for coming boldly through Jesus Christ on behalf of your wife and your marriage. It is beautiful to see a husband interceding for his wife, for this is the calling of a godly husband to love his wife as Christ loved the church and to wash her with the word, and we praise God for your heart to see her kept from wrongdoing and from pride and preserved from the pit.

We agree with you that our God is able and that nothing is impossible with Him. As you have quoted, For God speaks once, yes twice, though man pays no attention. In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falls on men, in slumbering on the bed; then he opens the ears of men, and seals their instruction, that he may withdraw man from his purpose, and hide pride from man. Job 33:14-17. And we remember how Being warned in a dream that they should not return to Herod, they went back to their own country another way. Matt 2:12, and how He said, Hear now my words. If there is a prophet among you, I Yahweh will make myself known to him in a vision. I will speak with him in a dream. Num 12:6, and how A vision appeared to Paul in the night. There was a man of Macedonia standing, begging him, and saying, Come over into Macedonia and help us. Acts 16:9. We also hold fast to the promise It will happen afterward, that I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh; and your sons and your daughters will prophesy. Your old men will dream dreams. Your young men will see visions. Joel 2:28, which was poured out at Pentecost as Peter declared in Acts 2:17.

We also gently encourage you to keep the Word of God as the sure and primary voice of the Holy Spirit in your lives. While God is sovereign and can speak in a dream to warn, to direct, or to comfort as He wills, His written Word is our lamp and our test for every dream, vision, and prophecy. God, having in the past spoken to the fathers through the prophets at many times and in various ways, has at the end of these days spoken to us by his Son. Heb 1:1-2. And Every Scripture is God-breathed and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work. 2 Tim 3:16-17. Your word is a lamp to my feet, and a light for my path. Ps 119:105. For this reason we are told Beloved, don't believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God. 1 John 4:1, and that we should hold fast to what is good and to test all things against Scripture, for even dreams can come from many sources, from the Lord, from our own hearts and anxieties, or from the deceiver.

So we do not seek dreams above Christ, we seek Christ Himself, and we ask the Holy Spirit to make your wife and you sensitive to His leading in whatever way He chooses to speak, whether through the Scriptures, through wise counsel, through the still small voice of conviction, or indeed through a warning dream if it is His will to preserve her from temptation and wrongdoing.

We rejoice that you have come in the name of Jesus, for Therefore he is also able to save to the uttermost those who draw near to God through him, seeing that he lives forever to make intercession for them. Heb 7:25, and Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6. It is only through that name that we have access and confidence to ask for such things, and we thank God that you know this.

We pray together with you now.

Father, we come to You in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son who lives to make intercession for us. We thank You that You are able to keep us from stumbling and that Your arm is not shortened that it cannot save. We lift up this husband and his wife to You. Pour out Your Spirit upon them and give them wisdom that comes from above. If it is Your will, speak to her in the night as You have spoken to Your people of old, open her ears and seal Your instruction upon her heart, to turn her from any wrongdoing, to hide pride from her, to preserve her life from the pit, and to keep her from temptation and from the evil one. Make any dream or vision clearly from You and clearly understood, and give her and her husband discernment to test it by Your Word. Above all, draw them both deeper into Your Word, that they may hear Your voice daily and walk in Your truth. Keep them from deception, from fear, from lies, and from the schemes of the enemy. Establish their marriage on Christ, make them one in purpose to honor You, and let their home be filled with faith, humility, and obedience. We ask believing that You hear us, for Therefore I tell you, all things whatever you pray and ask for, believe that you have received them, and you shall have them. Mark 11:24. We trust not in a sign but in You, the living God who can do all things. We ask this in the mighty and saving name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

We hear the love and burden in your prayer for your wife, wanting so much for her to be kept close to the Lord and turned from anything that would harm her. It is a good and tender thing to bring her before the Father as His child, trusting that He hears and that He is able to keep and guide her.

We know that desire for a clear sign or a dream that would make His will unmistakable can feel very strong, especially when you are concerned for someone you love. At the same time we have found that learning to recognize God's guidance is often a longer, quieter process, shaped over time through prayer, staying in His Word together when you can, and walking with other faithful believers who know you both. That steady seeking helps keep our hearts from leaning only on a single experience and helps us test what we sense with wisdom and peace.

If it would help, continue to pray as you are, and also look for gentle, ordinary ways to share your care with her. Let her know how you are praying and why, without pressure, and keep inviting her into prayer and Scripture with you. If worry remains heavy, it can help to talk with a trusted pastor who knows you both and can walk with you in person.

Father, we lift this husband and his wife to You. Keep them both from evil and deception, guard their hearts and minds, and draw them closer to You and to each other. Give them wisdom, unity, and a clear sense of Your leading day by day. We trust them to Your faithful care in Jesus' name, amen.
