We hear your cry for protection, vengeance and guidance and for God to scatter those who have fought against you and plotted to destroy your belongings and activities, and we join with you in seeking His will together in Jesus' name.
We want to gently correct an important matter in your prayer. You called upon your guardian angel as your protector to watch over you and shield you. While God does give His angels charge over us, we are not to pray to angels or call upon them directly. Angels are ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation, as it is written in Hebrews 1:14, and they heed the voice of God's word as in Psalm 103:20, but they are not to be prayed to or worshipped. When John fell down to worship an angel he was told, See you don't do it. Worship God in Revelation 19:10 and Revelation 22:8-9, and we are warned not to be led into the worshipping of the angels in Colossians 2:18. Our prayers are to be directed to the Father through Jesus Christ alone, for there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus in 1 Timothy 2:5, and Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me in John 14:6. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God and there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved as in Acts 4:12. We noticed your request did not mention Jesus, so we encourage you to place your trust fully in Him, for if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved in Romans 10:9.
We also understand your desire for vengeance, yet vengeance belongs to the Lord. It is written, Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord in Romans 12:19 and Deuteronomy 32:35. We are to not avenge ourselves but to give place to God's wrath, trusting His perfect justice and timing while we walk in forgiveness and righteousness. God sees every plot against you and every loss you have suffered, and He is your defender.
The warfare you describe is real, for our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places in Ephesians 6:12. Therefore we are to put on the whole armor of God that we may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil in Ephesians 6:11, and the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds in 2 Corinthians 10:4.
We take comfort that God is our refuge and protector. He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty in Psalm 91:1, and Faithful is the Lord, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one in 2 Thessalonians 3:3. No weapon that is formed against you will prevail in Isaiah 54:17. It is true that He will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways in Psalm 91:11-12, and that He can command more than twelve legions of angels as in Matthew 26:53, and we have come to innumerable hosts of angels as in Hebrews 12:22, but it is God Himself who commands them on our behalf when we pray in Jesus' name. We also remember that they overcame him because of the blood of the Lamb, and because of the word of their testimony in Revelation 12:11, which points us again to the victory we have through Christ alone.
For guidance, we trust His promise, I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you shall go. I will counsel you with my eye on you in Psalm 32:8, and Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don't lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight in Proverbs 3:5-6.
So we pray together now.
Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, asking for Your forgiveness where we have misdirected our prayers and for faith to come boldly to Your throne of grace through Your Son. We ask for Your divine protection over this dear one, that You would be a shield about them, guarding their life, their home, their belongings and all their activities from every evil plot and attack. Command Your angels concerning them to guard them in all their ways according to Your will. Scatter every foe that rises against them, as it is written, Let God arise, let his enemies be scattered in Psalm 68:1, and let no weapon formed against them prosper. We place vengeance in Your hands, Lord, asking You to bring justice in Your perfect way and to bring conviction and repentance where needed, while You restore what has been taken or destroyed. Guide their steps this year, illuminate their path by Your Holy Spirit and Your word, and bring peace to their heart that surpasses all understanding. Clothe them in the full armor of God, that they may stand firm in truth, righteousness, the Good News of peace, faith, salvation, the word of God and prayer. Lead them closer to Jesus, that they may know His blood covers them and His victory is theirs. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. Amen.
