Dear God, I humbly ask for your protection, vengeance and guidance all this year ###. I call upon my guardian angel, my protector, to be with me, to watch over me, and to shield me from harm. May your angel guide my steps, illuminate my path, and bring peace to my heart by scattering all foes fighting&that have plotted against me destroying all my belongings and activities. We hear your cry for protection and guidance in the midst of spiritual warfare, and we stand with you in prayer, lifting this request before the throne of God in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. While we acknowledge your trust in divine care and the mention of angels, we must first emphasize that our help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth (Psalm 121:2), and it is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to the Father (John 14:6). There is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12).

You called upon your guardian angel, but Scripture teaches us that angels are ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation (Hebrews 1:14). They are not to be prayed to or invoked, for worship belongs to God alone (Revelation 19:10). Instead, we are to call upon the name of the Lord, who is our refuge and fortress, our God in whom we trust (Psalm 91:2). It is Jesus who has overcome the world (John 16:33), and it is in His name that we find victory over every foe.

We rebuke the spirits of destruction, confusion, and fear that have come against you. The enemy may plot and scheme, but God works all things together for the good of those who love Him (Romans 8:28). We declare that no weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against you in judgment you shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17). The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still (Exodus 14:14).

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up our brother/sister who is facing spiritual warfare and ask for Your divine protection to surround them like a shield. Lord, You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). We ask that You scatter every foe that has risen against them, that You destroy every plot of the enemy, and that You restore what has been lost or damaged.

Father, we declare that no evil shall befall them, nor shall any plague come near their dwelling (Psalm 91:10). We plead the blood of Jesus over their life, their home, their belongings, and their activities. Let Your angels encamp around them, not as objects of worship, but as Your servants carrying out Your will (Psalm 34:7). Guide their steps, illuminate their path, and bring peace to their heart, for You are the God of peace who will soon crush Satan under their feet (Romans 16:20).

Lord, we ask that You fill them with Your Holy Spirit, granting them wisdom, discernment, and courage to stand firm in the faith. Remind them that greater is He who is in them than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). Strengthen their trust in You, for You are faithful and just to deliver them from every evil work and preserve them for Your heavenly kingdom (2 Timothy 4:18).

We thank You, Father, for Your unfailing love and protection. We trust in Your promises and declare that victory is ours through Christ Jesus. In His mighty name, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to put on the full armor of God so that you may stand against the schemes of the devil (Ephesians 6:11). This includes the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the readiness of the gospel of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God (Ephesians 6:14-17). Pray always in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication, and watch with all perseverance (Ephesians 6:18).

Remember, the battle is not yours, but God's (2 Chronicles 20:15). Stand firm, hold your ground, and after you have done everything, stand (Ephesians 6:13). The Lord is your light and your salvation, whom shall you fear? The Lord is the stronghold of your life, of whom shall you be afraid? (Psalm 27:1). Trust in Him, and He will give you the desires of your heart (Psalm 37:4).

We hear the weariness in your words, the weight of feeling surrounded, the ache of seeing things fall apart. It’s exhausting to live on high alert, bracing for the next blow. We want you to know you’re not facing this alone. The body of Christ is meant to carry one another’s burdens, and we are here with you, bringing your cry before the Lord.

While we cannot pray for vengeance, we can ask God to be your shield and your strong tower, to guard your life and make a way where you see none. He is the one who fights for us, and his care is personal and fierce. Sometimes the greatest act of trust is simply to hand over the battle, stop rehearsing the threats, and let him be the defender he has promised to be.

One step that may help anchor you this year: write down each troubling circumstance and every name that stirs fear, and each morning place that list before the Lord in prayer, saying, “You see this. You are my refuge. I release them into your hands.” Let that repeated act reshape your mind and deepen your dependence on him rather than on anxiety.

We also encourage you to share this struggle with a trusted pastor or a couple of mature believers. The presence of others, their prayers, their company, their simple acts of kindness, can quiet the noise of isolation and remind you that you are safe in God’s household. You don’t have to carry this alone.

Lord Jesus, we lift up this dear one who feels besieged and exhausted. Surround them with your peace that defies panic. Send your angels, as you have promised, to guard their coming and going, and frustrate every plot set against them. Quiet their heart with the certainty of your love. Give them wisdom for each day, clear eyes to see your provision, and the courage to keep walking into the purpose you have for them. In your mighty name, amen.

The cry for divine protection in the midst of warfare rises from a soul that knows its own frailty, and this is well, for we are never safer than when we feel our absolute dependence upon the arm of the Lord. Yet let us weigh carefully the petitions we spread before the throne, for even a sincere heart may ask amiss.

You call for vengeance upon your foes, but consider the glorious truth set before us in the Gospel: the day of vengeance of our God fell with crushing weight upon the Substitute at Calvary. That was a day of vengeance when all the waves and billows of Divine wrath went over His innocent head. For those who are in Christ Jesus, vengeance has been fully satisfied; it cannot be demanded again. If we belong to Him, we do not cry for retribution upon our personal enemies any more than David took vengeance upon Saul when the Lord delivered him into his hand. Divine gentleness restrained the blow, and so must it be with us. The precept stands immutable: “Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.” To entrust our cause to the righteous Judge is faith; to dictate the terms of justice is presumption. Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, and leave the matter of recompense in the hands where alone it belongs.

Then you invoke the ministry of a guardian angel, calling upon this protector to scatter your foes. But observe the Scriptural order. The charge is given to the angels concerning those who dwell in the secret place of the Most High, yet the command originates not with our bidding but with the sovereign will of God. It is He who gives His angels charge over you, to keep you in all your ways. The angel of the Lord opened the prison doors for the apostles not because they summoned him, but because God sent him with a specific errand. Their business was not to linger in speculation about the angel but to go at once and speak the words of this life. So with us: we are kept, but the keeping is in the way of obedience to Divine precepts. He who travels on the King’s Highway is under the King’s protection, but he who takes to byroads must protect himself. The promise of angelic guardianship is not a warrant for us to command celestial spirits; it is a comfort assuring us that God employs them secretly for the good of His elect.

You plead the aid of the legions of angels our Lord mentioned in the garden. Yet remember His own words: “Thinkest thou that I cannot now pray to my Father, and he shall presently give me more than twelve legions of angels? But how then shall the scriptures be fulfilled?” Our Master refused to summon that heavenly host for His own deliverance. He entrusted Himself to the Father’s will. How much more ought we, unworthy servants, to walk by faith and not by sight, trusting the Divine protection without demanding visible or miraculous interpositions. If God were to send an angel to avert every calamity and scatter every plotting foe according to our timetables, what mark of divine displeasure for man’s revolt would remain? God’s purpose is not to make this world a paradise for our flesh, but to refine us for the world to come. The dry tree by divine grace shall flourish; the low tree, fostered by the Husbandman, shall mount even to the stars. But the high tree, cut down by the axe of judgment, shall lay outstretched. Trust His wisdom in who is cast down and who is lifted up.

What you truly need, and what we all must seek, is the Divine Presence in the midst of your life. If the Lord be with you, if the shout of a king be heard in your camp, then no foe can prevail. The one hope of the people of God is not a retinue of angels at our beck and call, but Jehovah Himself as our Instructor and Shield. He will shield you from what would do you eternal harm, though He may permit the temporary plundering of goods or the testing of your activities. The Israelites had for their Guide none other than Jehovah Himself, and that same God is yours in Christ Jesus. He will feed you with the bread of adversity and the water of affliction if need be, but that affliction will be your path to glory. The Divine Eagle tears away the comfortable nest of earthly belongings precisely to teach the eaglet to soar. We bless the hand which tears away our comforts, seeing Divine Wisdom and Infinite Affection in it all.

Cast yourself, then, not upon the hope of angelic intervention at your summons, but upon the finished work of the Lamb. The lowly adoration of our Divine Lord, truly God and truly man, is the anchor of the soul. Cry to Him for protection, not by commanding His messengers, but by humbling yourself under His mighty hand. Walk in His statutes, seek no vengeance of your own, and you shall find that His gentleness has made you great. The rapture all Divine of His forgiving love is a garrison to the trembling heart. He shall cover you with His feathers, and under His wings shalt thou trust. For the day of vengeance is in His heart, and He alone knows its proper time. Your portion is to know that the year of His redeemed is come, and that nothing can separate you from that love. Amen.

You ask for vengeance. But do you not hear the Lord saying, “Vengeance is mine, I will repay”? Why seize what belongs to God alone? He sees every plot against you, every loss you have suffered, and He will recompense in His own time. But pray not for harm to fall upon those who have wronged you, for it is they who stand in danger, not you. The soul that sins will die; the one who suffers evil is not the one truly injured. Your belongings may be destroyed, your activities disrupted, but what is that to a soul anchored in Christ? These are mere dust and shadows, things which moth and rust consume. If you have lost them, you have lost nothing of eternal worth.

Give thanks instead. Has not the apostle taught that in everything we are to give thanks? Suffering, when received with gratitude, is changed from a curse into a blessing. The enemy can do no more than frighten. Every scheme, every accusation, every act of malice is but a noise, a shadow, a vain attempt to shake those who stand firm in God. When they see that you are not affrighted, they will know their own destruction is at hand. Do not groan over earthly loss; let them groan who do the evil. Their own deeds will fall back upon their heads. And remember: the true battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the spirits who stir up such wickedness. Pray rather that they be delivered from the devil’s snare, even as you trust God to frustrate their designs.

You call upon your guardian angel as a protector. Yet consider: are angels to be summoned at our word, as though they were servants waiting on our commands? The promise of the psalm is that God will command His angels concerning you, not that you command them. It was a star that guided the Magi, but the star did not act of its own accord; it was a divine power working through it. So with angels: they are ministers of God, sent according to His will. Set your hope not upon any created spirit, but upon the Creator Himself. Cry out to Christ, who sits at the right hand of the Father until all enemies are put under His feet. He is your true shield. If it pleases Him, He will let no foe approach your dwelling; but if He permits trial, it is that your faith might be refined like gold.

Let your prayer be this: “Lord, give me a thankful heart, and if it be Your will, scatter the plots against me, but above all deliver me from the enemy within my own soul, the desire for revenge, the bitter anger, the fear of loss.” Then shall peace come, not because your circumstances have changed, but because you have entrusted all to the One who judges justly. The enemies you see are not your greatest foes; the unseen ones are far more dangerous, and they are defeated by patience, forgiveness, and unwavering trust in God’s providence. Do this, and you will find that no harm can touch the inner man, and that even the loss of all outward things becomes gain for the soul that loves God.

Your request for protection and guidance this year comes from a deep place, and Scripture does assure us that God dispatches His angels as ministering spirits to serve those who are heirs of salvation. He gives them charge over you to guard you in all your ways, to bear you up, and to keep your foot from stumbling. That comfort is real. But we must always remember that angels are created servants, not beings we call upon directly. We do not pray to angels or worship them. When an angel appeared to John, he firmly stopped him from bowing down, saying he was a fellow servant. Our prayers and our trust belong to God alone, through Jesus Christ. He is far superior to all angelic powers, seated at the Father’s right hand, with all angels commanded to worship Him.

The desire for protection is right, and you can rest knowing that the Lord sees every plot set against you. But the longing for vengeance requires careful handling. Indeed, the Scriptures cry out, “Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord.” It is so tempting to take matters into our own hands or even to nurse a bitter hope that harm comes quickly to those who have hurt us. Yet even in the Psalms, when David pleaded for God to vindicate him, he entrusted the judgment to God rather than acting on his own. We are called to release that burden into the hands of the Righteous Judge, who will one day set all things right. The day of God’s vengeance is still future; for now, He extends mercy and calls us to leave room for His justice.

Jesus did not come the first time to bring vengeance but to purchase redemption. So as you walk through this year, seek His guidance and commit every enemy, every scheme, and every loss into His care. He has not forgotten you, and no weapon formed against you will prosper when your heart rests in Him. Stay close to Jesus, who is infinitely better than the angels, and let Him scatter the darkness with His peace.
