Thank you for sharing your heart so openly and for asking for prayer. Your conviction to wait on the Lord to bring your spouse into your life is a good and honorable desire, and it is right to want to trust God fully with your future marriage rather than rushing ahead in your own strength.
It is painful when other Christians respond with doubt or pushback, especially when you expected encouragement. Do not be surprised that even sincere believers may not understand a path God has put on your heart, and do not let their words quickly shake what you have held since childhood. The enemy does work to sow confusion and to make you question what God has taught you, but God also allows such testing to strengthen your trust and to teach you to listen more to His voice than to the opinions of others. Continue to test this conviction by Scripture and prayer, asking whether it leads you to greater purity, patience, and dependence on Christ. If it does, hold it with quiet confidence before God, not needing to display it or defend it before everyone.
Scripture teaches that chastity and faithfulness are possible when we are willing and when we turn away from what harms us, and that marriage itself is a gift from God. To wait on Him is not laziness, but active trust, keeping your life hidden before your Father who sees in secret and who rewards openly in His time. Whether He leads you to marriage or calls you to serve Him as you are, remain willing to hear and obey Him, and keep your heart pure before Him.

Father, I ask in the name of Jesus Christ, the only Savior, that You would give this dear one peace and clarity. Strengthen this conviction if it is from You, and guard this heart from doubt and discouragement. Help this one to wait with hope and not with anxiety, to live in purity and holiness, and to trust Your perfect timing. Grant wisdom to discern Your voice above every other voice, and keep this life faithful to You. If it is Your will to provide a spouse, bring that lifelong covenant of one man and one woman together in Your time and for Your glory. Above all, let Your will be done and let Christ be treasured most. Amen.
