Visitation of children

Anonymous

Beloved of All
Father God I pray in the Holy name of Jesus that my friend can see his children, I pray that you will soften his ex wife's heart & help them have lines of communication, please guide their steps for the children sake. Thank you in Jesus Holy Name I Pray Amen

We join with you in lifting up this precious situation to our Heavenly Father, recognizing that children are a heritage from the Lord (Psalm 127:3). We pray earnestly for your friend, that the Lord would open doors for him to see his children and be an active part of their lives. Father, we ask that You soften the heart of his ex-wife, removing any bitterness, resentment, or hardness that may have taken root (Hebrews 12:15). Lord, we know that communication is key in co-parenting, and we ask that You would guide their conversations, filling them with grace, patience, and wisdom (Colossians 4:6).

We also pray for the children involved, Lord. May they feel Your love and peace in the midst of any confusion or hurt they may be experiencing. Protect their hearts and minds, and help them to know that they are deeply loved by both parents and, most importantly, by You (Zephaniah 3:17). We ask that You would bring healing to any brokenness in this family, and that Your will would be done in each of their lives.

Lord, we rebuke any spirit of division or strife that may be at work in this situation. We declare that Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, will guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). We pray that both parents would seek Your wisdom and guidance in raising their children, putting aside personal differences for the sake of the little ones You have entrusted to them (Proverbs 22:6).

We encourage your friend to continue seeking the Lord in prayer and to trust in His perfect timing. May he find comfort in knowing that the Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). We also encourage him to be patient and to extend grace, even when it is difficult, remembering that love covers a multitude of sins (1 Peter 4:8).

Heavenly Father, we ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, our Savior and Redeemer. We trust in Your goodness and faithfulness, knowing that You work all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28). May Your will be done in this family, and may Your name be glorified through their lives. Amen.

We’re joining you in this prayer right now. It’s painful to watch a friend ache to be with his children, and your faithful intercession for them all matters deeply. Even when the legal ties of marriage have broken, a parent’s love for their kids doesn’t change, and God’s heart is always for their well-being.

Often what helps most in these strained situations isn’t a dramatic breakthrough but small, steady acts that build trust over time. You might quietly encourage your friend to focus on what he can control right now: consistent kindness when communication does happen, showing up reliably for every visit that’s permitted, and refusing to let old hurts spill over into those moments. Children pick up on even unspoken tension, so even his calm, prayerful presence, even from a distance if that’s where things stand, can be a shelter for them. If the lines of communication are tangled, a neutral third party like a mediator can sometimes help both sides keep the children at the center, without the old arguments hijacking the conversation.

We can’t force another heart to soften, but we can ask God to do what we cannot. Let’s bring this before him together.

Father, we lift up this friend who longs to see his children. You know the ache of separation, and you see these kids too. Soften what is hard, and open a way for safe, life-giving connection between them. Give both parents wisdom that puts the children first, and steady their steps with peace instead of conflict. Surround this family with your mercy, and protect the little ones from lasting wounds. We ask this in Jesus’ name, Amen.

We are debtors to those who are kindred householders, and it is right that this petition rise before the throne of grace. Lo, children are a heritage of the Lord, and the fruit of the womb is a reward; they are not to be treated as encumbrances, but as arrows to be directed aright. Pray earnestly for the softening of that heart, for the removal of every hindrance, for God alone can send the preparatory work, as the hornet before Israel, to clear the path.

Yet let the father look well to himself first, for you cannot bless your children, you cannot bless your households till first of all upon yourselves the anointing of the Lord doth rest. Like as a father pitieth his children, so the Lord pitieth them that fear Him; but He will not leave His children unchastened when they decline from His love. If there be backsliding, let there be returning. The Lord declares He hates putting away, and says, “Return, you backsliding children.” Plead with God as His own child, for it is a blessed thing to press that claim: “I am married unto you.”

The sight of those children gives the Lord content; He delights to say, “Behold, I and the children.” He acknowledges His little ones without hesitation, and He is gratified even when we are slow to own Him. Pray, then, with importunity, but also with resignation, lest the cry show more of nature than of grace. The Lord teaches His own to walk, bearing with their mistakes because they are His children, still His children! If He has been patient with us, shall we not trust His wisdom in these home trials? Children are capable of deep piety, and of rendering great service. Direct this arrow with prayerful aim. Let the father live before the Lord, that he and all his may be bound up in the bundle of life. God will not leave His own to hunger, for there is no caveat in the promise: the children of God shall be satisfied.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The prayer you utter for your friend is good, for nothing is sweeter than children if one is willing to live honestly. Yet consider this: God often inflicts visitations concerning our property, our children, or our life to bring us to reason. When strife divides a house and a father from his offspring, let us not only pray for the other heart to soften, but first examine our own. For the secrets of the heart are made manifest, and many a man trembles not for futurity, but for the retribution he sees here. Is there some gain wrongfully sought, some root of bitterness, some word spoken not for edification but to inflame? A brother’s offense need not be displayed; we are charged instead to discipline the soul in contrition and piety.

Therefore, let the prayer rise from a heart of compassion and humility, not as one merely claiming a right, but as a father longing with forbearance, even as Christ forgave you. He must not be a man-pleaser going through the motions of communication, but doing the will of God from the heart, seeking true edification. Do not think it enough to chant Psalms and make accustomed prayers at random, then be dismissed. If the place is to be shaken by a true visitation, you must join the petition to a manner of life that brings grace upon all. Let him approach as under the paternal roof, showing kindness and longsuffering, so that his very demeanor declares God is truly among you. For a throne prepares the heart for the king, and a heart unified in virtue prepares the way for the softening of another. Only then will the lines of communication be guided not by mere earthly longing, but toward the children’s true good and the household’s peace.

What a heavy and heartfelt request you have brought before the Lord. The ache for a friend who is separated from his children is one that runs deep, and you are right to carry this to the throne of grace. The suffering of children in the wake of a broken marriage is one of the most painful consequences of our fallen world, where the sins and fractures of parents so often visit hardship upon the young.

I want to encourage you with this truth: the hearts of all people, including this mother, are in the hands of the Lord. Praying that God would soften her heart is a prayer aligned with His own heart for children. Do not grow weary in asking. The Scriptures recount how the Lord visited Hannah in her deep, silent anguish, and she poured out her soul before Him in a way that words could not capture. That kind of persistent, Spirit-born intercession is powerful. God saw her, and in time He opened her womb and redeemed her sorrow. He sees this situation and every barrier of communication just as clearly.

At the same time, be mindful that the human will is a mysterious thing. We see in the story of Pharaoh a sobering pattern: he hardened his own heart repeatedly, choosing stubbornness and rebellion. Only then, after he had firmly set himself, did God confirm and strengthen that position. This is not God being unfair, but God letting a person’s own chosen course become fixed. So while you boldly ask God to soften a heart, also pray that this mother would not stiffen herself against what is right for the children. Ask that any hardness born of hurt or pride would be melted, not reinforced.

Remind your friend that his own responsibility is clear: to keep his own heart tender before the Lord and to walk in righteousness. God’s design is that fathers diligently teach and model the faith, speaking of His ways in everyday life. Even if access is limited now, he can still pray those Scripture-soaked blessings over his children daily. No weapon formed against the well-being of those children can ultimately prosper if they are entrusted to the Lord. This is the heritage of God’s own covenant children, His protective, redeeming care.

The last word of the Old Testament speaks of God turning the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest a curse fall. That promise is powerful. It means God cares deeply about this very kind of reunion and restoration. Hold fast to that hope as you continue to pray with your friend, believing that the Lord who guided the steps of Moses’ family and who orchestrated events for Esther’s people is fully capable of guiding these steps for the children’s sake. Keep pouring out your heart, and may God’s peace guard both you and your friend as you wait.

We are so grateful you entrusted us with this tender burden—praying for your friend’s longing to see his children, for the softening of his ex-wife’s heart, and for open, healing lines of communication that honor the children above all. Every time we lifted this request before the throne, we asked the Father to guide each step, to guard every word, and to knit every broken thread back together in His perfect timing.

If His answer has already come—if visits have begun, if hearts have softened, if voices are speaking with kindness—we rejoice with you! Please share the praise so we can celebrate together. If the wait continues and the silence feels heavy, we invite you to post this need again; we are still here, still standing in agreement, still believing with you that the One who hears will act.

May the Lord bless you and your friend with patience, with peace, and with the quiet assurance that every prayer uttered in Jesus’ name is kept in heaven’s care. We continue to pray in His holy name. Amen.
