Father, let the Holy Spirit convict and convert, Jn 16:8, teach us all things, Jn 16:13, open minds to UNDERSTAND SCRIPTURES, Lk 24:45 -- and faith to pray and receive, Mark 11:24, (Faith comes by hearing the message preached), Rom 10:17 -- God, You will that none would perish, but all to come to repentance, 2 Pet 3:9, that all would be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth, 2 Tim 2:1-5, even all in authority, and all our households, Acts 16:31. We lift up our hearts together in fervent prayer for church leaders, pastors, teachers, worship leaders, and preachers, who carry the weighty responsibility of shepherding God’s people. Father, we ask that You would ignite in them a deep, unquenchable fire for Your presence, that their devotional lives would be marked by intimacy with You, not merely duty. May they seek You first in prayer, interceding for their congregations with the same compassion You have for the lost. Let their study of Your Word be not just for preparation, but for transformation, so that they may teach with authority, correct with love, and preach with power, always pointing to Christ crucified and risen.

Lord, we pray for revival in the hearts of Your people. Draw families to Your house, not out of obligation, but out of hunger for truth. Open their ears to hear Your voice, their minds to understand Scripture, and their spirits to receive the revelation of Jesus as Lord. May the Holy Spirit convict of sin, righteousness, and judgment, leading many to repentance and salvation. We rebuke the spirit of apathy and distraction that keeps souls from seeking You. Let Your Word go forth with power, saving the lost, restoring the wandering, and covering multitudes of sins, as James 5:19-20 declares.

Father, we ask for freedom in worship that is pure and undefiled, worship in Spirit and truth, as Jesus taught in John 4:24. Anoint Your servants with fresh oil, that their teaching, preaching, and worship would carry the fragrance of Christ. Protect them from the schemes of the evil one, who seeks to steal, kill, and destroy. Guard their families, their minds, and their time, that they may not grow weary in well-doing.

We also lift up the families in our congregations. Stir in them a hunger for Your Word, a longing for fellowship, and a passion for the lost. May they not neglect gathering together, as Hebrews 10:25 warns, but let them encourage one another daily, as Acts 2:42 describes. When they partake of the Lord’s Supper, let it be with reverence, remembering Christ’s sacrifice until He returns. Father, grant them faith to pray and receive, for faith comes by hearing Your Word preached. Let none perish, but let all come to repentance, as 2 Peter 3:9 promises.

We declare that You are our ever-present help, our Father who draws near to those who seek You. Thank You for the message of the cross, where Your Anointed One bore our sins. May Your Spirit continue to convict, convert, and teach us all things, opening our minds to understand Scripture. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above every name, the only name by which we are saved. For there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). We stand on Your promises, believing that You hear us when we ask according to Your will, and that when You hear, we have what we’ve asked of You (1 John 5:14-15). Let Your kingdom come, Your will be done, in our churches, our families, and our communities. Amen.

We hear your deep longing for your church leaders to be renewed in prayer and the Word, and for every family member to be drawn into the gathering, hear the message, and meet Jesus with open hearts. It’s a holy ache that many of us share, and it’s never wasted. Just carrying these people before the throne is already a quiet, powerful ministry. We’ve seen again and again that simply knowing someone is faithfully praying can bring comfort even before a single outward change is visible.

One small thing you might consider this week is sending a brief note to your pastor or a worship leader, not with advice, just a few sentences letting them know you are specifically praying for their own devotional life and for fresh anointing. Such words can steady a weary soul. And as you continue to pray for your family, perhaps you can take one gentle step alongside your prayers: invite someone to come with you this Sunday, and offer to meet them at the door so they don’t walk in alone. The presence of a familiar face can do what a sermon alone cannot.

We’re praying that the Holy Spirit will fan that hunger in the leaders, that their private time with the Lord will overflow into every sermon and song, and that as your family enters the room, the Word will find soft soil, not because of a clever presentation, but because the Father himself is drawing them. Hold steady. You’re not pleading into empty air; you’re joining God’s own desire that none would perish.

Lord Jesus, we lift up every pastor, teacher, and worship leader. Meet them in the quiet place; restore their first love and give them understanding of the Scriptures. Draw the family members named here, by name and by heart, into the fellowship of the church. Grant faith, repentance, and the joy of sins forgiven. Protect all of them from the evil one who loves ignorance, and let the light of the gospel dawn in every heart. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

The prayer that has risen from your heart is the echo of the Spirit's own pleadings, and you may be certain that when the Lord draws out such desires, He has already set His hand to the work. You are begging for that which He has promised. Is it not written that He will give the heathen to His Son for an inheritance? Therefore, wrestle on. The very burden you feel for the lost, for the wandering, for the cold in heart, is itself a token that you are in fellowship with the Great Intercessor. Do not let the devil whisper that your longings are merely the fretful dreams of your own mind; they are the breath of heaven upon your soul.

Mark this well: the salvation you seek for households, for visitors, for backsliders, is a salvation that begins and ends with a look. Not a look to their own feelings, their own repentances, their own worthiness, for all that is a mess of pottage unworthy of a soul’s confidence. The text rings through the ages, “Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth.” This is the hearing of faith. They must hear of a finished work, of a bleeding Substitute, of a risen Lord, and as they hear, faith cometh. Faith is not a gymnastic feat of the mind; it is the simple reception of God’s testimony concerning His Son. Pray, then, that the Word preached would come not in word only, but in demonstration of the Spirit and power. Ask that the preacher would vanish from their sight, that they might see only Jesus only. For if they get a view of Him, one glance of the great Lover of souls, the deed is done. The look is instantaneous, but its consequence is eternal.

You plead for holiness, for revival, for sound teaching. Be not ashamed of the simplicity of the method. You cry for the Holy Spirit’s anointing, and you do well, for the Spirit abideth forever with the church and sanctifies the most trembling act of faith. A little faith, if it be real faith, is like precious faith with that of the apostles. It will not sink, though the waves of doubt crash over it, if its hand has once touched the garment of Christ. Do not despise the day of small things. A genuine work of grace in a family often begins with a tear, a silent hearing of the Word, a hidden conviction. Make your house-calls not in the energy of the flesh, but as a witness-bearer. Tell what you have tasted and handled of the good Word of God. A testimony of a saved sinner is a link in the chain by which the Lord draws other sinners to Himself. The man who told you of the market of free grace is bidding you, in turn, to go into the highways and hedges and compel them to come in.

Lastly, take heed of the error that would mingle human merit with this free salvation. You will hear men charge us with neglecting good works because we exalt free grace. This is a slander from the pit. The faith that saves is the faith that works by love. The tree is not made good by its fruit, but it is known by its fruit. Let the leaders you pray for preach Christ in the pulpit, carry Christ in their visitations, and live Christ in the home. But let them never point souls to their own consecration, their own visions, their own attainments. Point them only to the brazen serpent. The dying Israelites were not told to look at Moses, nor to look at the pole, nor to look at their own wounds. No, they looked at the appointed object of faith, and as they looked, the iron grip of death was loosened. Be thou steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in this work, forasmuch as ye know that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.

You speak of drawing families to the church, and this is a holy desire, but mark well the nature of the call. No one comes unless the Father draws him, and the teacher is Christ, not any man. For what have we that we have not received? Paul himself, that vessel of election, did not discover the truth by his own wisdom but was called while persecuting and laying waste the Church. Here, everything belongs to Him who calls; of him that is called, nothing is required but to obey. You ask for revelation by the Father, for flesh and blood does not reveal the Messiah, and rightly so, for it is through the will of God that any should be saved in this way.

You long for the Holy Spirit to convict and convert, and this is the promise of Christ Himself. He that believes on Him, as the Scripture has said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. By belly He means the heart, and this He spoke of the Spirit, alluding to the largeness and abundance of grace. It is a well springing up, unfailing, not becoming empty, a living water that ever works. But understand this: the grace of the Spirit, when it has entered into the mind and been established, springs up more than any fountain, yet this very abundance is not given for idleness. Though we have all faith and all knowledge of the Scriptures, yet if we be naked and destitute of the protection derived from holy living, there is nothing to hinder us from being hurried into the fire of hell. For as they who have done good shall rise to life everlasting, so they who have dared the contrary shall rise to everlasting punishment, which never has an end.

Do not marvel that some hear the word and remain hardened, speaking evil of the way. So it was with the Jews who, having seen the very garments of Paul working miracles, paid no heed, their infatuated hardness remaining. What could be greater than the dust of an apostle healing the sick? Yet it resulted in just the opposite effect for them. The demons themselves have no power to touch even swine without permission from the God of all. Their wickedness is ever manifest, and they labor to drive men to dismay, yet the wisdom of Christ uses even the wickednesses of others for our advantage. Not that the treason of Judas worked salvation, but the good contrivance of Christ's fair skill. So let none think that because events are written, men are blameless in their wickedness; they are deserving of countless punishments.

You ask for faith and repentance for your families, and this is urgent. But remember the man who brought his son to the disciples, exceedingly weak in faith. Christ said, "All things are possible to him that believes," and the man cried out, "Help my unbelief." The faith of those who present the sick often avails for the cure, yet without persons to bring them in faith, the power of the doers may suffice. Be not slow to approach, nor think that your own weakness hinders the power of God. But this too is certain: right faith must not be marred by the vileness of our actions. We must become well-pleasing to Him by these also, so that we may boldly look on Christ. No happiness can be equal to this.

Consider what the Church was when Christ took her: disobedient, foolish, living in malice and envy, once darkness itself. What blacker than darkness? Yet for all her deformity, He did not abhor her, but gave Himself up for her as for one in the bloom of youth, and washed her. If He refused not this for us when we were sinners, how shall we refuse to turn from our own uncleanness, from which He has freed us? Not by their own good deeds, but by the loving-kindness of God, have any been sanctified. Called to be Saints, we are reminded of our lowliness. Your teachers are not patrons of your doctrine; Christ is your teacher. Why then register the names of men? The Church is of God.

You pray that they attend whenever the church assembles, and this is right, for where the body is gathered, there is the supply for salvation. But let none come merely to get it out of the way, or seldom and as if by chance. When Paul entered the synagogue, he disputed boldly, ready to confront dangers, not veiling the doctrines. Yet when some were hardened and spoke evil, he departed and separated the disciples, not wishing to kindle their envy or bring them into more contention. So we also must learn not to put ourselves in the way of evil-speaking men, but to depart from them, even while we do not speak evil in return. Let the hearers in your house churches not run to indulgence, but receive the word in humility which saves the soul, for James says he who turns a sinner from the error of his way will save a soul from death and cover a multitude of sins.

Moses suffered the reproach of Christ, being ill-treated to the end by those of his own race, by the very man he had benefited. This is the reproach we bear when we repudiate the ways of our fathers and run to God. Fear not then to speak the truth in love, for even Paul did not rebuke certain deceivers at first, lest it look like envy. Yet the power of the gospel is shown not so much by good things as by things fearful. When fear fell on the Church at the death of Sapphira, men dared not join themselves hastily; afterward, handkerchiefs and aprons worked healings, and then they came confessing their sins. Today, let us plead that the Holy Spirit indeed open minds to understand the Scriptures, for Christ Himself opened the minds of the disciples to perceive what was written. Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the message preached. Seek then the Lord while He may be found, and do all to the glory of God. To Him, with the Only-Begotten Son and the Holy Ghost, be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
