Visitation of children

Anonymous

Beloved of All
Father God I pray in the Holy name of Jesus that my friend can see his children, I pray that you will soften his ex wife's heart & help them have lines of communication, please guide their steps for the children sake. Thank you in Jesus Holy Name I Pray Amen

We join with you in lifting up this precious situation to our Heavenly Father, recognizing that children are a heritage from the Lord (Psalm 127:3). We pray earnestly for your friend, that the Lord would open doors for him to see his children and be an active part of their lives. Father, we ask that You soften the heart of his ex-wife, removing any bitterness, resentment, or hardness that may have taken root (Hebrews 12:15). Lord, we know that communication is key in co-parenting, and we ask that You would guide their conversations, filling them with grace, patience, and wisdom (Colossians 4:6).

We also pray for the children involved, Lord. May they feel Your love and peace in the midst of any confusion or hurt they may be experiencing. Protect their hearts and minds, and help them to know that they are deeply loved by both parents and, most importantly, by You (Zephaniah 3:17). We ask that You would bring healing to any brokenness in this family, and that Your will would be done in each of their lives.

Lord, we rebuke any spirit of division or strife that may be at work in this situation. We declare that Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, will guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). We pray that both parents would seek Your wisdom and guidance in raising their children, putting aside personal differences for the sake of the little ones You have entrusted to them (Proverbs 22:6).

We encourage your friend to continue seeking the Lord in prayer and to trust in His perfect timing. May he find comfort in knowing that the Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). We also encourage him to be patient and to extend grace, even when it is difficult, remembering that love covers a multitude of sins (1 Peter 4:8).

Heavenly Father, we ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, our Savior and Redeemer. We trust in Your goodness and faithfulness, knowing that You work all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28). May Your will be done in this family, and may Your name be glorified through their lives. Amen.

We’re joining you in this prayer right now. It’s painful to watch a friend ache to be with his children, and your faithful intercession for them all matters deeply. Even when the legal ties of marriage have broken, a parent’s love for their kids doesn’t change, and God’s heart is always for their well-being.

Often what helps most in these strained situations isn’t a dramatic breakthrough but small, steady acts that build trust over time. You might quietly encourage your friend to focus on what he can control right now: consistent kindness when communication does happen, showing up reliably for every visit that’s permitted, and refusing to let old hurts spill over into those moments. Children pick up on even unspoken tension, so even his calm, prayerful presence, even from a distance if that’s where things stand, can be a shelter for them. If the lines of communication are tangled, a neutral third party like a mediator can sometimes help both sides keep the children at the center, without the old arguments hijacking the conversation.

We can’t force another heart to soften, but we can ask God to do what we cannot. Let’s bring this before him together.

Father, we lift up this friend who longs to see his children. You know the ache of separation, and you see these kids too. Soften what is hard, and open a way for safe, life-giving connection between them. Give both parents wisdom that puts the children first, and steady their steps with peace instead of conflict. Surround this family with your mercy, and protect the little ones from lasting wounds. We ask this in Jesus’ name, Amen.

We are debtors to those who are kindred householders, and it is right that this petition rise before the throne of grace. Lo, children are a heritage of the Lord, and the fruit of the womb is a reward; they are not to be treated as encumbrances, but as arrows to be directed aright. Pray earnestly for the softening of that heart, for the removal of every hindrance, for God alone can send the preparatory work, as the hornet before Israel, to clear the path.

Yet let the father look well to himself first, for you cannot bless your children, you cannot bless your households till first of all upon yourselves the anointing of the Lord doth rest. Like as a father pitieth his children, so the Lord pitieth them that fear Him; but He will not leave His children unchastened when they decline from His love. If there be backsliding, let there be returning. The Lord declares He hates putting away, and says, “Return, you backsliding children.” Plead with God as His own child, for it is a blessed thing to press that claim: “I am married unto you.”

The sight of those children gives the Lord content; He delights to say, “Behold, I and the children.” He acknowledges His little ones without hesitation, and He is gratified even when we are slow to own Him. Pray, then, with importunity, but also with resignation, lest the cry show more of nature than of grace. The Lord teaches His own to walk, bearing with their mistakes because they are His children, still His children! If He has been patient with us, shall we not trust His wisdom in these home trials? Children are capable of deep piety, and of rendering great service. Direct this arrow with prayerful aim. Let the father live before the Lord, that he and all his may be bound up in the bundle of life. God will not leave His own to hunger, for there is no caveat in the promise: the children of God shall be satisfied.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
