We hear the deep anguish in your heart, and we stand with you before the throne of God, lifting up this cry for justice. Your pain is real, and the wrongs committed against you, and others, must not go unanswered. The Lord is a God of justice, and He sees every injustice, hears every cry, and will act in His perfect timing and way.

First, we must address the spirit of this request. While we understand the intensity of your hurt, Scripture warns us against harboring bitterness or desiring vengeance for ourselves. Romans 12:19 tells us, "Dearly beloved, don’t seek revenge yourselves, but give place to God’s wrath. For it is written, ‘Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.’" The Lord calls us to trust Him to execute justice, even as we pray for it. We must also examine our hearts to ensure we are not allowing anger or resentment to take root, for Ephesians 4:26-27 says, "‘Be angry, and don’t sin.’ Don’t let the sun go down on your wrath, and don’t give place to the devil."

That said, we do pray boldly for justice to be served. The Lord is a righteous Judge, and He will not be mocked. Proverbs 11:21 assures us, "Most certainly, the evil man will not be unpunished; but the offspring of the righteous will be delivered." We also pray for conviction to fall upon those who have caused harm, that they may repent and turn from their wicked ways. 2 Timothy 2:25-26 reminds us that God grants repentance so that they may escape the snare of the devil.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this situation to You. Lord, You see the pain, the trauma, and the injustice that has been done. We ask that You would move mightily to bring justice in this matter. Convict the heart of the one who has caused harm, that they may repent and turn from their wickedness. If they refuse to repent, we pray that You would remove them from their position of influence and authority, so they can no longer hurt others. Lord, we trust in Your justice, knowing that You will repay every wrong.

Father, we also pray for healing for those who have been hurt. Bind up their wounds, restore their hearts, and fill them with Your peace. Help them to release any bitterness or desire for vengeance into Your hands, trusting You to make all things right. Surround them with Your love and protection, and let them feel Your presence in a tangible way.

We pray all of this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the One who is our Advocate and our Righteous Judge. It is only through His name that we have access to You, and it is only through faith in Him that we are saved. Lord, we submit this request to You, trusting that You will act according to Your will. Amen.

In the meantime, we encourage you to seek godly counsel and support from those who can walk alongside you in this season. Do not carry this burden alone. Psalm 147:3 says, "He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds." The Lord is near to the brokenhearted, and He will not leave you in this pain. Continue to cast your cares upon Him, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). If there are legal or practical steps that need to be taken to address this injustice, seek wise and godly advice on how to proceed. The Lord can use even earthly systems to bring about His justice.

We are praying with you right now, in the middle of all this pain. What you’ve experienced sounds devastating, the kind of betrayal and hurt that can leave you feeling crushed and invisible. Emotional wounds from someone who was supposed to help you cut especially deep, and we understand why your heart is crying out so urgently today. You matter, and what was done to you matters to God.

When you’ve been harmed by a person in a position of trust, it’s normal to long for justice and for the abuse to stop, not just for you, but for others who have also been hurt. Right now, the most important thing is that you’re safe and not carrying this alone. Is there a wise, safe person you could reach out to today, a pastor, a Christian counselor, or a trusted friend, who could walk alongside you as you process this? You don’t have to sort through the hurt by yourself.

We’re asking God to draw very close to you. Father, you see everything that has happened, and you know the weight of trauma this person is carrying. We ask for your healing presence to surround them, bringing peace where there is turmoil and a steady sense that they are not abandoned. Please intervene in this situation, bring any hidden wrongdoing into the light, and cause the harm to stop. Give wisdom and courage for the next steps, and provide the right support so that this dear person can find true safety, restoration, and relief. In Jesus’ name, amen.

The cry of the wounded heart is heard in the courts of Heaven, yet consider this, the Lord Himself declares, “The low tree, fostered by the husbandman, shall mount even to the stars; the high tree, cut down by the axe of judgment, shall lay outstretched.” Vengeance belongs to Him alone, and His justice needeth not to be urged by our frantic pleas. The weight of another’s sin is measured perfectly in His scales, and the stroke falls where He decrees. But what of thy own soul in this tempest? The very leaves of that Tree which is Christ are for the healing of the nations. Even the least touch of His grace doth cure the deepest wounds inflicted by man’s cruelty. Wilt thou press close to Him for thy own binding up, or wilt thou let the bitterness devour the balm?

The great Ill is a broken heart, and I perceive thou hast such. But look unto the Sacrifice which alone satisfieth divine Law, He offered up Himself. When righteous wrath was due to us, Christ stood in the place of sinners. Dost thou cry for punishment upon another? Remember the cry from the cross: “Eloi, Eloi, lama Sabachthani?”, a cry wherein infinite grief was housed that we might know full pardon. If He absorbed such justice for our transgressions, to pray for the crushing of another soul is to step upon ground where angels tread lightly. The pardoning hand that forgives thee is the very hand that healeth. Pardon and healing are one in the Savior’s work; wilt thou then trade the sweet release of thy own forgiveness for the vinegar of unforgiveness?

Behold the Gospel’s method: first forgiveness, then healing. To the man sick of the palsy Christ said, “Son, thy sins be forgiven thee,” and then He lifted him up. The power to heal was present even as He taught. So it is now: the teaching of His Word brings the healing unction. But it is a melancholy truth that men may dwell in the region of divine power and yet feel not its operations. If thou clingest to this fevered demand for another’s destruction, thou mayest miss the gentle fall of the Spirit’s dew upon thy own parched spirit. The dry tree flourisheth by grace; the green tree withereth when it trusteth to its own heat. There is no true healing for thy wounds in the hope of another’s ruin, only a deeper festering. Come rather to the Fountain where every spot is washed away at one sudden sweep of mercy’s wave.

I charge thee, let the healing leaves of Christ’s presence work upon the life-blood of thy soul. The common things about Him, the whisper of a promise, the memory of His patience, the certainty of His coming, are full of virtue to transform the nature. Thou speakest of hurt and pain inflicted upon many; yet He was the Man of Sorrows, acquainted with grief, and He intercedeth for the transgressors. Shall we, who owe our lives to His intercession, demand an immediate arrest and severest calamity without also pleading for conviction and a broken heart that leadeth to life? Be not entangled with this care that poisoneth the spirit. The desire to minister and bless ariseth out of being healed; will thou let Him take thee by the hand and lift thee up from this fever, that thou mayest serve with a clear eye and a quiet tongue?

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your soul is in anguish, and your cry rises from deep pain. But pause and consider: if God were to grant every petition for immediate punishment according to the strict rule of justice, who among us would survive? We have all sinned against our Benefactor, and were absolute justice demanded, we would have perished from the beginning. Yet God, in His mercy, withholds the full weight of what we deserve, giving space for repentance.

Christ Himself, when He commanded us to turn the other cheek, was not ignoring justice but mingling mercy with it. He who suffered the greatest injustice taught us to show consideration even while we are wronged. The evil done to you and to other patients is real, and the Lord is not indifferent. His righteousness is like the mountains of God, and every human court points toward that final judgment. But He often delays, desiring not the death of a sinner but that he turn and live.

Do not let your urgency become an imitation of the adversary, who wages war relentlessly against his own kind. Instead, seek the better way: pray that this man be convicted in his heart, that he truly see the harm he has caused and be brought to repentance. For outward punishment alone leaves the root of evil untouched, and you yourself gain nothing if your heart is consumed by rancor. If love is absent, no great advantage comes to you, even if you see him fall.

Therefore, pour out your trauma before the Lord, but ask also for the grace to forgive. Entrust the matter to the righteous Judge, who knows when to act and when to wait. Let your urgent prayer be transformed into one that seeks healing for your own wounds and, if possible, the amendment of the one who caused them. In doing so, you will not deny justice but will place it in the hands of Him who judges all rightly.
