We hear your deep pain and righteous anger over the injustice you have endured. What was done to you, and to others, was wrong, and we stand with you in seeking God’s justice. The Bible tells us, "The Lord works righteousness and justice for all who are oppressed" (Psalm 103:6). We pray that the truth will be revealed and that those responsible will be held accountable.

However, we must also examine our hearts in prayer. While your desire for justice is understandable, we must guard against bitterness or a spirit of vengeance, for Scripture warns, "Beloved, never avenge yourselves, but leave it to the wrath of God, for it is written, ‘Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord’" (Romans 12:19). Instead, we ask God to bring conviction, repentance, and restoration where possible, even for those who have done wrong, while still upholding justice.

Let us pray together:

"Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, grieving over the harm done to and others. We ask You to move mightily in this situation, exposing the truth, bringing justice, and protecting the vulnerable. Lord, we pray for the one who caused this pain: convict him deeply, break his pride, and lead him to genuine repentance. If he refuses to turn from his ways, we ask that You remove him from positions of authority where he can do further harm. Father, we also pray for, grant healing, peace, and trust in Your justice. Help us all to release bitterness and trust in Your perfect timing. We ask this in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we are saved and through whom we have access to You. Amen."

We encourage you to also pray for wisdom and discernment in how to proceed, whether through legal channels, reporting to authorities, or seeking godly counsel. God sees your pain, and He will not leave it unanswered. "The Lord is a stronghold for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble" (Psalm 9:9). Trust in Him, and lean not on your own understanding (Proverbs 3:5-6). If you have not yet done so, consider reaching out to a trusted pastor, biblical counselor, or Christian legal advocate who can walk with you through this process. You are not alone.

When someone in a position of trust misuses their authority, especially in a setting where you were vulnerable, the wound goes very deep. Right now, your heart is understandably full of anger, and the urgent desire for this person to be stopped is a sign of how serious the harm was.

While we cannot direct what God must do in someone else's life, we are standing with you in the part that matters right now: your own heart and safety. Carrying this level of pain alone can make the injury heavier, so we want to gently encourage you not to isolate yourself with it. A trusted pastor, a mature friend, or a Christian counselor can be a safe place to unpack what happened. If you are still in the care setting where this occurred, please know you are free to report mistreatment through the proper channels to protect yourself and others. Your voice matters, and speaking up is a step toward the light, not a betrayal of faith.

We are praying that God draws very near to you, that His presence steadies the swirling thoughts, and that you begin to sense that He sees the truth of what happened. We are also praying He gives wisdom to the right people to address this situation, and that you are shielded from any further harm.

Lord Jesus, in Your powerful name, we lift up this one who is crying out to You in raw pain. You see every detail, and You are close to the brokenhearted. Please be their very real comfort right now. Give them courage and clarity about any step they need to take next, and bring trustworthy people alongside them. More than anything, let them feel Your steady hand holding theirs when it is hardest. We trust You to bring truth to light and to bring healing where the hurt runs deepest. Amen.

There is an intensity in your cry that I recognize, for earnestness in prayer is what the Apostle himself pleaded for when he wrote, "I beseech you, Brethren, that you agonize with me in prayer to God." An agony alone was too bitter for him, and so it is with you. You have been wounded, and that pain has driven you to your knees. This is right. The throne of grace is the proper resort of every soul in distress.

Yet let me press a tender question upon your heart. When the blind man cried out for mercy, our Lord did not grant a vague blessing but asked, "What do you want Me to do for you?" He taught us that prayer is to be definite, going straight to the point. You have done this, naming the offense and the offender. This is well. But consider further. The most potent prayers are those which, even in their holy boldness, bow to a greater will. To pray for conviction is a solemn and scriptural thing; to pray for a soul to be brought to its knees in repentance is to long for something infinitely more profound than mere punishment. It is to desire that this man should not perish, but that the very hand which has wronged you and others should be arrested by a mighty, saving grace.

Your prayer as it stands burns with a fire that might consume you as much as it seeks to consume another. I have warned from this pulpit that we have seen many bow the knee in prayer for a person, and when they rise, their knees are unbent but their hands are raised to strike. A prayer that springs from a vengeful spirit is not the prayer that prevails with Heaven. Christ never prayed a deceitful prayer; His heart was always one with His intercession. The great matter now is not merely that justice be done, but that your own soul be kept from the biting gall of bitterness. It is a time to cry, "Will You revive us again?" Lord, revive my own spirit first, that I may pray aright.

That man has done you a grievous wrong, and it is right that the matter should be laid before the Judge of all the earth, who does right. But oh, plead for this: that the Lord would mightily convict him, not first by ruin, but by a vision of the Christ he is persecuting. To bring a man to absolute ruin is a fearful thing to ask; to bring a man to the absolute foot of the Cross, there to weep out his repentance, is a prayer Christ Himself delights to answer. Pray that his license to sin be taken from him by a work of sovereign grace. That, my friend, is the arrest that lasts for eternity.

You are in great strain, as you say. The prayer for you, and for all who have been harmed, is that the God of Peace would be with you. Let this be your first and chief petition: "Lord, help me." It is a handy prayer, good for every dark hour, and it will do more to calm the tempest within than a thousand demands for another’s downfall. Pour out your complaint, but let that little prayer, "Lord, help me," flow from your heart continually. In doing so, you shall play the man, and leave the judgment with Him who judges righteously.

The fire of your anger is understandable, but it burns chiefly the vessel that contains it. You cry out for the Lord to arrest and punish this ### at once, yet consider how the dart of the devil, which is evil concupiscence and wrath, seeks to consume you even while you claim to seek justice. Would you have God quench your enemy with a flame that also scorches your own soul? The grace of God has appeared, teaching us to deny worldly lusts, and this includes the lust for immediate retribution.

Commit the wrong into the hands of Him who judges justly, for the recompense He will bring at the revelation of the Lord Jesus is far more severe than any sentence you could devise, and the rest He promises to you who are afflicted is infinitely greater than the hurried punishment you now demand. Be not the red-hot iron that hisses and scalds; rather, plunge your heart into the cooling waters of longsuffering and forbearance, and you will not only preserve your peace but may even subdue the wrongdoer more thoroughly than any earthly tribunal. Therefore, pray instead that his heart be brought low before God, that he may truly see his deeds and repent, leaving the final judgment to the One who mingles mercy with justice and who will, in His own time, recompense affliction to those who afflict you.

I hear the deep anguish in your words, and your pain is not invisible to God. When someone in a position of care so badly mistreats those he was meant to help, the cry for justice rises from the gut. You want to see his power broken, his wrongdoing exposed, and his ability to harm anyone else taken away right now. That hunger for wrongdoing to be stopped and for him to be brought low is not a sinful instinct on its own. The Book of Revelation shows us souls crying out, “How long, O Lord, until you judge and avenge our blood?” They are told to wait, that judgment is certain, but it belongs to the One who sees all.

And that is where you and I must press into a hard truth. The same Lord who reveals His heart for the oppressed also says plainly, “Vengeance is mine, I will repay.” He does not ask us to carry that weight. When I read the accounts of horrible abuse, my own spirit rages and I want to ask, “How long before you bring this crashing down?” Yet the Lord reminds me that His justice is more thorough than any human consequence. Losing a license or a job can be a small thing compared to standing exposed before the eyes of the Judge who knows every hidden act.

So I am not going to tell you to stop being upset. I am going to urge you to bring all of that raw anger to the Lord, instead of letting it fester into poison in your own chest. Tell Him every detail of the harm done to you and to other patients. Ask Him to intervene and to protect future victims. But then also ask Him to help you release the timing and the form of his downfall into His hands. Jesus is the faithful witness who sees the powerful misuse their position, and His justice will not be mocked. It may not happen on the timetable we demand, but He will not let it pass.

I join my prayers with yours: that this man would be convicted of his sin, that whatever measures are necessary to remove his ability to harm others would happen without delay, and that God would make things right. But more than that, I pray your own heart finds rest in the One who judges justly. You do not need to hold onto the rage alone. The Lord who has counted your tears will handle this wrongdoer in His perfect way and time.

It is clear how deeply this situation has affected you, and we have lifted your request before the Lord with heavy hearts, asking Him to move mightily on your behalf. We prayed for justice, for conviction, and for the Lord’s swift intervention in bringing accountability and restoration.

We continue to stand in agreement with you, trusting that God sees every detail and hears every cry of your heart. If the Lord has already moved in this situation—if there has been any sign of justice, conviction, or relief—we would be so encouraged to hear a praise report from you. Your testimony could be a powerful witness to God’s faithfulness and might.

If, however, you are still waiting and the situation remains unresolved, we invite you to post this request again so that we may continue to intercede with you. We will not grow weary in standing with you, believing that God is at work even when we cannot yet see it. Let us keep pressing into Him together, trusting that His justice and mercy will prevail.

May the Lord bless you with His peace, strength, and assurance as you continue to seek Him. We pray that He would surround you with His presence, comfort you in your pain, and guide you with His wisdom. We ask all these things in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
