We hear the deep pain and anger in your words, and we stand with you in seeking justice for the wrongs you have endured. The Bible tells us in Romans 12:19, "Don’t seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God’s wrath. For it is written, 'Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.'" While your desire for justice is understandable, we must surrender our need for vengeance to God, trusting that He will act in His perfect timing and way.

We also lift up your request for victory in your complaint and for financial restitution. Scripture assures us in Proverbs 22:22-23, "Don’t exploit the poor, because he is poor; and don’t crush the needy in court; for the Lord will plead their case, and plunder the life of those who plunder them." We pray that God would raise up the right people to advocate for you and that your complaint would be handled with fairness and integrity.

However, we must gently address the tone of your prayer. While it is right to seek justice, the Bible also calls us to forgive those who have wronged us. Ephesians 4:31-32 says, "Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tender hearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you." Holding onto bitterness and anger can harm your own heart and hinder your relationship with God. We encourage you to release these feelings to Him and ask for the strength to forgive, even as you seek justice.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up this dear one who has been deeply wronged and ask that You would bring justice in this situation. Lord, You see the pain and the injustice that has been done, and we trust that You will act on their behalf. We pray for victory in their complaint, that the truth would be revealed, and that those responsible would be held accountable. Father, we ask that You would raise up the right people to support and advocate for them, and that You would provide the financial restitution they seek.

Lord, we also ask that You would soften their heart and help them to release any bitterness, anger, or desire for vengeance. Fill them with Your peace and comfort, and give them the strength to forgive, even as You have forgiven them. Help them to trust in Your timing and Your ways, knowing that You are a God of justice and mercy.

We pray for the one who has caused harm, that You would convict their heart and lead them to repentance. Expose any wrongdoing and bring about the consequences they deserve, but also open their eyes to the harm they have caused and lead them to change.

Father, we thank You for hearing our prayer and for Your faithfulness to act on behalf of the oppressed. We trust in Your promises and ask all these things in the precious name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

We encourage you to continue seeking God’s will in this situation and to lean on Him for strength and guidance. Remember, Psalm 37:5-6 says, "Commit your way to the Lord. Trust also in him, and he will do this: he will make your righteousness go out as the light, and your justice as the noon day sun." The cry of your heart rises with a heat I understand well, for injustice sears the soul. Yet I must urge you to consider the throne before which you cast this plea. The God who judges righteously does not act as a hired champion to satisfy our personal wrath. He is not moved by our demands to expose and shame others, for He declares, "Vengeance is mine, I will repay, saith the Lord." When we pray, we must take care not to confuse the holy fire of zeal for righteousness with the smoke of a wounded pride.

You speak of punishment, of a man brought to his knees and put to shame. But what is the punishment that lingers in your mind, a temporary disgrace, a refund of money? These are small things. The Scriptures speak of a far more dreadful reality: "It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God." The doctrine of eternal punishment is not a weapon for our quarrels, but a mirror to our own souls. Should you, in your anger, wish any soul to face that terror without first seeking the blood of Christ? Consider the cross: there the justice of God was satisfied for sin, so that He might be "just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus." If this ### has sinned against you and others, his greatest need is not your victory over him, but the victory of the Spirit over his sin, repentance and faith in the Savior who pours out mercy.

The true victory for you, the victory that overcometh the world and its wrongs, is faith. It is not found in the downfall of an enemy, but in your own soul resting in the finished work of Christ. When David conquered Goliath, the whole army shared in the triumph, not by their own hand, but by the victory of their champion. So it is with Christ: He has won the victory over sin, death, and hell. Your battle is not ultimately against flesh and blood, and your triumph is not measured by earthly compensations or the sight of a foe humiliated. Our Lord Jesus has poured out His soul unto death, and through Him we are more than conquerors. Let this shape your prayer.

Bring your complaint, yes, but bring it to the God who loves justice and hates wickedness, and then leave it there. The refund, the right people raised up, the outcome, these are in His hand. But most urgently, plead for your own heart to be kept from the poison of bitterness, and pray that if this man is yet in his sins, he might be arrested not by his earthly ruin, but by the grace that leads to salvation. Do not ask for a shame that leads to despair; ask for a conviction that leads to the foot of Calvary. This is the victory: not that your adversary falls, but that through faith you stand, and perhaps, in the mystery of mercy, that you both might meet as pardoned sinners before a just and satisfied God.

Your prayer is filled with fire, but it is a fire that consumes yourself, not the enemy. You cry out for punishment, for shame, for a man to be brought to his knees, for arrest and exposure. Yet look at what you are asking. Is this the prayer of a disciple of the crucified One, who when He was reviled did not revile in return, and when He suffered threatened no one, but entrusted Himself to Him who judges righteously?

You speak of a complaint, of victory, of a refund and compensation. You want God to fight for you in exactly the way you demand, and without delay. But consider: do we teach God how to be just? Does the clay command the potter? The Lord’s justice is not your tool for personal vengeance. If you appeal to absolute justice, know that by strict justice we all would have perished long ago. God’s ways are higher. He honors even those who dishonor Him, waiting for their repentance. Should you then stand impatient, demanding immediate wrath upon a fellow sinner? This is not the mind of Christ.

You say he treated you and others badly. Suppose he has. Is it for you to call down curses? Do you not know that to bear wrong with self control is the truest victory? The one who overreaches may seem to win for a moment, but his victory is empty and brings destruction. The one who endures without retaliating, who leaves the matter to God, that one wears the crown. Why do you seek a worldly victory in a court of complaint? That is a small thing. Seek rather to conquer your own anger, which now boils and makes you speak as if you were a beast or a demon, filled with hatred against your fellow servant.

And why do you cling so tightly to the pounds you desire back? Is it not clay dug from the yard? If your house is in heaven, why do you fight as if your treasure were down here? A rich man is the poorest of all when he chases after such dust. Let it go. God sees. He will provide for you if you trust Him, but not if you demand it with rage.

Your prayer is urgent, yes, but let it be urgent for your own soul. Cry out: “Lord, forgive me my own debts, as I forgive my debtor. Remove from me this burning anger. Teach me to leave justice in Your hands.” That is a prayer God honors. To ask Him to become the executor of your wrath, to shame and expel on command, is to make Him a servant of your passions. Repent of this.

Endure hardness as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. A soldier expects hardship and does not whimper. To be wronged and yet refuse to enter the conflict, to bless instead of curse, that is the mark of a true warrior of the Kingdom. God has appointed a day of righteous judgment; He needs no human schedule. Entrust your cause to Him without venom, and you will find peace that no compensation could ever buy.

I hear the distress in your words, and I want you to know that this is not too small or too ugly to bring before God. You can pour out your complaint to him, even when your soul is bitter. Job did that. He said, I will speak in the bitterness of my soul and say to God, Do not condemn me; show me where you are contending. So tell the Lord exactly how you feel.

But as you pray, let your cry be for truth and righteousness, not only for another person's humiliation. You have asked for that person to be exposed and punished and shamed. I understand the anger, but I will not ask God to shame someone just to satisfy your hurt. I will ask him to bring the truth into the open, to stop any mistreatment of patients, and to hold the one responsible fully accountable. That is right to pray.

God is fair. He does not pervert justice. He sees what human systems overlook. We all know that courts and complaints can fail. We wait for light and sometimes find only obscurity. But the failure of human justice does not mean God has stopped being just. He will bring his righteousness to light in his time.

As you press your complaint, press it with clean hands. God tells us to keep judgment and do justice, to be honest and not take advantage. Do not let the wrong done to you turn into bitterness that distorts your own words or makes you desire evil for evil's sake. Ask for what is truly owed to you, and ask for protection for those who could be harmed in the future. Those are legitimate requests.

I am praying that the right people will examine your case, that the money you are owed will be returned, and that the truth will prevail. I am also praying that God will guard your heart from being consumed by this. Leave room for him to deal with the offender, whether through just correction or through mercy that leads to repentance. If God brings him low, may it be to bring him to repentance, not merely to satisfy anger. His salvation is near, and his righteousness will be revealed.
