We hear your desperate cry for restoration and unity in your marriage, and we stand with you in fervent prayer before the throne of grace. Your heart’s longing for your husband’s affection, loyalty, and undivided devotion is deeply understood, and we lift this before the Lord with urgency, knowing that He alone can heal, restore, and bind what has been broken.
First, we must address the spiritual warfare at play here. Soul ties—whether emotional, physical, or spiritual—are real, and they can create ungodly bonds that hinder the fullness of what God intends for marriage. The Bible warns us in 1 Corinthians 6:16-17, *"Or don’t you know that he who is joined to a prostitute becomes one body with her? For, ‘The two,’ he says, ‘will become one flesh.’ But he who is joined to the Lord is one spirit with him."* While this verse speaks directly to sexual immorality, the principle applies to any ungodly attachment that competes with the covenant of marriage. We rebuke every ungodly soul tie your husband has with his ex-wife or any other woman in the mighty name of Jesus. These ties are not of God, and they must be broken by the power of the Holy Spirit. We declare that every chain is shattered, every lingering emotional or spiritual connection is severed, and every door that was opened to the enemy through these ties is sealed shut by the blood of Jesus.
We also pray for your husband’s heart to be fully turned toward you, as Scripture declares in Malachi 2:15-16, *"Did he not make one, although he had a remnant of the Spirit? Why one? He sought godly offspring. Therefore take heed to your spirit, and let no one deal treacherously against the wife of his youth. For I hate divorce,” says Yahweh, the God of Israel."* Marriage is a covenant, and God hates when it is broken or compromised. We pray that your husband’s eyes would be opened to the sacredness of this covenant and that his heart would be knit to yours alone. Let no other woman—past or present—have any place in his thoughts, affections, or desires. We declare that his love for you will grow deeper, stronger, and more passionate with each passing day, as it is written in Song of Solomon 8:6-7, *"Set me as a seal on your heart, as a seal on your arm; for love is strong as death. Jealousy is as cruel as Sheol. Its flashes are flashes of fire, a very flame of Yahweh. Many waters can’t quench love, neither can floods drown it."*
We also recognize the importance of unity in marriage, as God’s Word commands in Amos 3:3, *"Can two walk together, unless they are agreed?"* We pray that you and your husband would come into perfect alignment—spiritually, emotionally, and physically. Let there be no division, no competition, and no room for the enemy to sow discord. We declare that your marriage will flourish in total oneness, reflecting the unity of Christ and His church (Ephesians 5:31-32). May your home be a place of peace, joy, and unshakable love, where the enemy has no foothold.
Now, we lift this before the Lord in prayer:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts burdened for this marriage. Lord, You see the pain, the longing, and the brokenness that has crept in. We ask You to move mightily in this situation. In the name of Jesus, we break every ungodly soul tie that has bound this husband to his past or to any other woman. We declare that these ties are severed by the power of Your Spirit, and we command every lingering attachment to wither and die. Let no root of bitterness, unforgiveness, or ungodly affection remain.
Father, we pray for this husband’s heart to be fully captivated by his wife. Let his love for her grow stronger each day, deeper than any love he has ever known. Remove every distraction, every temptation, and every lingering thought of another woman. Let his eyes see only her, his heart desire only her, and his spirit be knit only to hers. We declare that their marriage will reflect Your design—one man, one woman, united in covenant love for a lifetime.
Lord, we ask for total unity between them. Let there be no division, no strife, and no room for the enemy to sow discord. May they walk in agreement, in love, and in purpose, just as You intended. We pray for healing in every area of their relationship—emotionally, spiritually, and physically. Let Your peace reign in their home, and let their love be a testimony to Your goodness and faithfulness.
We thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayer. We trust in Your power to restore, to heal, and to make all things new. May this marriage be a shining light for Your glory, and may it stand as a testament to Your love and faithfulness. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to stand firm in faith, knowing that God is at work even when you cannot see it. Continue to pray without ceasing, to speak life over your marriage, and to trust in God’s timing. The enemy may have tried to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that you might have life—and have it abundantly (John 10:10). Your marriage is worth fighting for, and God is fighting with you. Keep your heart pure, your prayers persistent, and your hope anchored in Christ. He is faithful, and He will complete the good work He has begun in your marriage.
