We have continued to lift her up before the Lord, asking for His healing touch and mercy upon her. We have been praying that God, who is our ultimate healer and the only one who can help when there is no earthly treatment, would completely heal her of the brain tumor and the masses and lesions on her lungs, whether they are from chronic bronchitis or asthma or from cancer. We have asked Him to ease and take away any pain or discomfort she is feeling and to bring comfort to her body.
We have also been praying specifically for the complications you shared, that the Lord would help her to eat normal food and drink water again, to have regular bowel movements, and to help her breathing so that she can purr and receive affection without triggering coughing. We know how heartbreaking it is to see your most affectionate companion pull away and lay alone staring because she wants to cuddle but coughing follows her purring, and we have asked God to lift that sadness and restore her desire for closeness.
We have prayed for you as well, that God would guide your hands and give you wisdom and gentleness as you give her the four pills twice a day and the inhaler three times a day and the subcutaneous fluids each week, without causing her hurt or distress. We have asked for His guidance in every decision you must make regarding her care.
We have also brought before the Lord the burden on your heart about her final moments, praying that He would show her great mercy and if it is His will, take her peacefully in her sleep at home, and that He would provide a compassionate veterinarian who can come to your house if that need arises, so she will not have to be afraid in a car or at a clinic. The Lord knows how much she means to you and that she is your world, and we take comfort that a righteous man cares for the needs of his animal as we are reminded in Prov 12:10, and that the Lord is close to the brokenhearted in Psalm 34:18.
