We want to thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf and we are so glad that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer for your precious cat. We have continued to lift her up before the Lord and to bring every detail you shared to Him.
We have been praying that God in His mercy would completely heal her and give her a full recovery from the brain tumor and the masses and lesions on her lungs, whether from chronic bronchitis or asthma or cancer. We know the veterinarians have said there is no treatment except medication to keep her comfortable, but we know that nothing is impossible for God and He is the only One who can help her now. We have prayed that He would take away and ease any pain or discomfort she is in, that He would help her to start eating normal food and drinking water again, that He would restore regular bowel movements, and that He would help her breathing. We have especially prayed for her purring and coughing, that the Lord would heal her lungs so that purring would no longer trigger coughing and she would no longer pull away from affection. We were so touched to hear how she was the most affectionate cat you have ever known and how heartbreaking it is now to see her try to cuddle and then start coughing and go lay alone and just stare at you, and we have asked the Lord to comfort her sadness and to restore her joy and closeness with you.
We have also been praying for you, that God would guide your hands and give you wisdom and gentleness as you give her all of the medication and treatments she needs without hurting her or causing her distress, with the four pills twice a day where you must open her mouth, and the inhaler three times a day, and the subcutaneous fluids at least once a week. We have asked for His guidance in every decision regarding her care. We have prayed that when her time does come, the Lord would show her mercy and take her peacefully in her sleep, and that He would provide a way for someone who can come to your home to help her pass if that is needed, so she would not have to be terrified by driving and the veterinarian office and spend her last moments alone and afraid and shaking and crying. We know she is not just a cat to you but your world, and we have asked God to hear and answer all of your desperate cries and pleas. We take comfort in Psalm 147:3 that He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.
Father we lift up this beloved cat to You now and we ask for Your healing touch upon her brain and lungs, for relief from pain, for restored appetite and thirst, for normal bowel movements and easy breathing, and for peace for this family as they care for her. We ask for wisdom for every medical decision and for Your perfect mercy and peace over her life, however long You give her. We ask all these things in Jesus Name and we trust You to answer according to Your perfect will. Amen.
If your request was answered and you have seen improvement in her comfort, breathing, eating or if God has provided healing, please post a praise report and let us all know so we can rejoice with you. If your request does not seem to have been answered and she is still struggling, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek Him through His Son, Jesus Christ.
