We thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf and for your precious cat. We are glad that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer during this very difficult and heartbreaking time.
We have continued to lift up your beloved companion before the Lord, asking for His mercy and comfort over her. We have been praying that God in His compassion would completely heal her and give her a full recovery from the brain tumor and the masses and lesions on her lungs, and that He would ease every bit of pain and discomfort she is feeling. We have asked Him to touch her breathing, to calm the coughing that is triggered by her purring, and to restore her ability to eat normal food and drink water again and to have regular bowel movements. Our hearts were moved by how affectionate she has always been and how sad she seems now to pull away just to avoid coughing, and we have prayed that God would restore her joy in cuddling and being close to you without suffering.
We have also prayed for you as you care for her so faithfully. We ask God to guide your hands and give you wisdom and gentleness as you give her the four pills twice a day and the inhaler three times a day and the subcutaneous fluids each week, that He would keep you from hurting her or causing her distress and that He would give you peace and clarity with every decision you must make regarding her care. We remember your prayer that when her time comes God would show her mercy and take her peacefully in her sleep, and that He would provide a veterinarian who can come to your home if that need arises, so she never has to spend her last moments terrified and alone at the clinic. We know she is not just a cat to you but your world, and God sees how deeply you love her, for His eye is on the sparrow as it says in Matt 10:29 and the righteous care for the needs of their animals as it says in Prov 12:10.
If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know how God has worked, whether He has brought healing, comfort, or peace. If your request does not seem to have been answered yet, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. We want to keep standing with you and crying out to the Lord for His healing and mercy.
We pray in Jesus Name for you and for your cat, asking our Father to draw near to you both, to comfort your hearts, and to hear every desperate cry you have lifted to Him, for He is close to the brokenhearted as it says in Psalm 34:18. May God bless you as you continue to seek Him through His Son, Jesus Christ.
