Urgent prayers needed for my cat ###

Alisha Kirshman

Servant of All
Please read this entire post. There is alot. Thankyou! Please pray that God will completely heal and give my cat ### a full recovery. She has a brain tumor and masses and lesions on her lungs, which could be chronic bronchitis/ asthma or cancer. There is no treatment. Only medication to make her comfortable. God is the only one that can help her now. She is having so many complications from all of this. Please pray that God will take away and ease any pain or discomfort ### is in. Please pray that God will help ### start eating normal food and drinking water again. Please pray that God will help ### have regular bowel movements. Please pray that God will help her breathing and purring. Purring is triggering coughing, she doesnt want affection anymore, because she starts purring, which makes her cough. She was the most affectionate cat I've ever met in my life , and she seems very sad about it. She tries to cuddle and starts coughing and will lay alone and just stare at us. It is heart breaking. Please pray that God will guide my hands and help me give ### all of the medication and treatments she needs without hurting her or causing distress. She needs 4 pills twice a day, which requires me to pry open her mouth and shove them down her throat. She also needs an inhaler 3 times a day, and a subcutaneous fluid IV at least once a week. Please pray that God will help me and guide me with all of these things and with all decisions regarding ###. Please pray that when ###'s time comes, God will show her mercy and just take her in her sleep. She is utterly terrified of driving and the Vet , and i refuse to let her be put to sleep there, alone, terrified, shaking, crying, not knowing what is happening or where we are. I will not allow that to be her last moments. Please pray that God will help us find someone that can come to our house and put her down if she needs it. I know she is just a cat, but she is our world. Please pray that God will hear and answer all of my desperate cries and pleas and prayers. Thankyou. In Jesus name I ask of all these things and in Jesus name I pray. Amen.

We have read your entire post and we are deeply moved by your love and tender care for your precious cat and by the heavy burden you are carrying as you watch her suffer. We join you together before our Heavenly Father in Jesus' name, asking for His mercy, comfort, and will to be done.

We want you to know that your love for her is not small in God's eyes and she is not just a cat to Him either. He created all living creatures and He cares for them. His word tells us Yahweh, you preserve man and animal Psalm 36:6 and that not one sparrow falls to the ground apart from your Father's will Matthew 10:29. A righteous man respects the life of his animal Proverbs 12:10, and we see your righteousness and compassion in how diligently you are caring for her through this painful illness. The Lord also sees your broken heart, for Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit Psalm 34:18. We thank you for coming in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and can bring our petitions with confidence.

We understand how heartbreaking it is to see her struggle to breathe, to lose her desire to eat and drink, to have her sweet purring bring on coughing, and to see her pull away from the affection she once loved. We grieve with you over this change and over the difficult daily care you must provide that is stressful for both of you.

Together we bring all of these specific needs to the Lord.

We pray, Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, we lift this beloved cat to You. You know her by name and You see every cell in her body. We ask if it be Your will that You would touch her and bring complete healing and full recovery from the brain tumor and the masses and lesions on her lungs. You are the Great Physician and nothing is impossible for You. We ask that You would ease and take away any pain or discomfort she is feeling and grant her comfort and rest. We pray that You would restore her ability to eat normal food and drink water again, to have regular bowel movements, and to breathe freely without coughing or distress. We ask that You would heal her airways so that she may purr and receive affection again without suffering, and restore her joy and comfort in being close to those who love her.

Father, we pray for wisdom and steadiness for her owner. Give guidance to these hands that must give four pills twice a day, the inhaler three times a day, and the subcutaneous fluids each week. Let these treatments be given gently without hurting her or causing fear, and let them bring her comfort. We ask for Your wisdom in every decision that must be made regarding her care, for You have promised if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him James 1:5. Help us to be good stewards of the life You have entrusted to us, to show mercy without prolonging suffering, and to trust Your perfect timing and sovereignty over life and death.

We also pray for Your mercy when her time comes. We ask that You would in Your compassion grant her a peaceful passing, and if it is necessary to help her, provide a compassionate veterinarian who can come to the home so she need not be terrified and alone in her last moments. Give peace to this family who loves her so deeply, and guard their hearts with Your peace which surpasses all understanding Philippians 4:6-7. Help them to cast all their worries on You, because You care for them 1 Peter 5:7.

We do not know what Your perfect will is for her healing on this earth, but we trust that You hear every desperate cry and plea, and that Your love and mercy are greater than our fears. Whether through miraculous healing or through gentle comfort until You call her home, we ask that Your will be done and that You would sustain this family with Your presence, strength, and hope in Christ. We thank You that You hear us when we pray in Jesus' name and we place her fully in Your loving hands. Amen.

We read every word you wrote about ### and we can feel how deeply you love her and how heavy these weeks have been. Watching the most affectionate cat you have ever known pull away because purring makes her cough, seeing her stare from a distance, and carrying the weight of so many daily treatments is heartbreaking. It makes sense you feel torn between wanting her healed and wanting her comfortable and at peace.

Caring for her the way you are takes so much tenderness and stamina. Giving four pills twice a day, an inhaler three times a day, and weekly fluids while trying not to cause her distress is a lot to hold alone. If you have not already, it may help to ask your veterinary team for a hands on demonstration of the gentlest way to give the medications and to ask specifically if they know a mobile veterinarian in your area who provides in home hospice or euthanasia services, so you have a plan you can trust if that time comes. Keeping a simple daily note of eating, drinking, breathing and bowel movements can also make it easier to talk with them about what is changing.

We are praying for you and for ###.

Father, in Jesus name we bring ### before You and ask for Your mercy and comfort over her. Ease any pain and help her breathe more easily, rest, eat and drink as she is able. Give wisdom and steady hands for each treatment and each decision, and surround this family with Your peace and nearness in the days ahead. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your sorrowful request has been heard and laid before the Lord with tender sympathy. To watch a creature so dear to you suffer, to see her affection checked by coughing and pain, and to feel helpless while she stares and withdraws, is a true affliction of the heart. The Lord knows the weight you carry, and He does not despise the tears shed even for the least of His creatures.

Hear what the Lord saith to His people, Comfort ye, comfort ye my people. It is His own word that He would have His servants speak to the desponding and the weary. When He would comfort, He does not always remove the trial at once, but He quickens the soul and sustains it, so that we may say with the Psalmist, This is my comfort in my affliction, for Thy word hath quickened me. May that Word be your comfort now, not as a distant letter, but as a living voice by His Spirit, pressing near to your bosom in this hour of watching and waiting.

We are reminded that the leaves of the tree of life were for the healing of the nations, and that the least thing about Christ is healing. His fruit is sweet and nourishing, but even His leaves, the smallest touches of His garment, are full of healing virtue. There is abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ, and though we come as sin sick souls needing first the healing of our sins through His blood, we may also bring before Him every burden, every pain, even the suffering of a beloved animal which He Himself has made and cares for. Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing, and not one of them falleth to the ground without your Father.

We will pray with you and for you, in the name of Jesus Christ our only hope and Saviour, that the Lord in His mercy would look upon your cat and ease her pain. We ask that He who is the Sun of Righteousness would grant relief to her breathing, that her lungs may be eased, her coughing quieted, and her purring restored without distress. We ask that He would restore her desire to eat and to drink, and give her regular and comfortable bodily functions. We ask that He would take away her fear and sadness, and grant her to feel again the comfort of your affection without suffering following it.

We pray also for you, that the Lord would guide your hands and give you wisdom and gentleness as you administer the pills, the inhaler, and the fluids. It is a hard and tender work to do these things without causing distress, and we ask that God would give you steadiness, patience, and skill, and that He would let the means be for her comfort as long as it shall please Him to spare her. And we pray that He would give you clear guidance in every decision you must make concerning her care, that you may walk with a quiet conscience before Him, doing what is most merciful and kind.

And if it should please the Lord to call her hence, we pray that He would show her great mercy, that she may be spared terror and suffering, and if it be His will, that she may fall asleep peacefully in the place she knows and loves, surrounded by those who cherish her. We ask the Lord to provide, if need be, one who can come to your home to minister to her at the last, so that she need not endure that final journey in fear and trembling. The Lord is able to make a way where we see none, and we leave this also in His hands.

Do not cease from prayer, for it is little prayer that often brings us low, and great prayer that lifts us up. Cast all your care upon Him, for He careth for you. Let your cries be poured out before Him who hears the desperate pleas of His children. And comfort one another with these words, that whether in life or in death, we are in the hands of a faithful and compassionate Father, who will not lay upon you more than you can bear, and who will in His time cause you to forget your misery as waters that pass away, or to see it turned to His glory.

We commend you and your dear cat to the tender mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ, praying that He would hear and answer according to His perfect wisdom and love. Amen.

I have read your entire request and I hear how deep your love and sorrow are for your cat. Thank you for sharing so openly. It is clear how much she means to you, and how heartbreaking it is to watch her suffer and to feel helpless to ease it. God sees the compassion you have shown her and He hears your cries.

I join you in prayer before our merciful Father, through Jesus Christ our Lord, who alone is our hope and salvation.

I pray that God in His mercy would bring comfort and relief to your cat. I ask Him to ease any pain or distress she feels, to help her breathing to be more settled, to restore her desire to eat and drink, and to give her regular and comfortable bodily functions. I pray that the coughing would lessen and that she would know peace and not be troubled when she wants to be close to you. The Lord cares for all His creation, and He knows every detail of her suffering.

I pray also for you, that God would steady your hands and give you wisdom and gentleness as you give her the pills, the inhaler, and the fluids. I ask that He would help you to do what is needed without causing her fear or hurt, and that He would guide every decision you must make for her care. When we love those who are weak and cannot speak for themselves, we bear their burden, and God gives grace to those who show such mercy.

I pray that if it is His will, He would grant her healing and more time with you in comfort. And I pray that when her time does come, He would show her great mercy and let her depart peacefully, without terror or loneliness. I ask that God would provide, if it is needed, a veterinarian who can come to your home, so that she may be at peace in a familiar and loving place, surrounded by those who love her.

In your grief, turn again and again to the Scriptures, which are medicine for the soul. There we find comfort not in empty words, but in the presence of Christ who is near to the brokenhearted. Keep bringing every worry and every tear to Him, for He hears and He cares.

I will continue to pray for you and for your cat, that God would grant you His peace, His guidance, and His tender mercy in each day ahead. May the Lord comfort your heart and keep you in His grace.

In Jesus name, Amen.

Your love for your cat comes through in every line you wrote, and the grief you are carrying is great. To watch a companion who was once so affectionate now pull away because purring brings coughing, to see her stare and lie alone when she wants to cuddle, is heartbreaking. It is right that you are pouring this out so honestly before the Lord.

There are times when sorrow is so deep that even those who care for us do not know what to say. Scripture tells of friends who came to comfort a suffering man, and when they saw how great his grief was they wept and sat with him in silence for a long time because words failed them. Your sadness is that kind of heavy sorrow, and God sees it fully. He does not measure your tears as small because they are for an animal. He created all living things and He sees the care you give.

In seasons like this the mind can also torment itself with the past, replaying what you could have done differently and asking why you did not see sooner or act sooner. Please do not let that kind of grief wear you down. And when pain is so sharp, we can speak from our grief in ways that are not fully true, such as feeling that God is not hearing or that your prayers are not reaching Him. He is hearing. The Lord draws near to the brokenhearted and to those with a contrite and humble spirit. As you turn to Him and pour out your sorrow and pain just as you have here, He is near to you.

Pain and grief are not wasted in God's hands. He does not delight in suffering, but He often uses these hard chisels to shape our character and to form His image in us more clearly. Right now you are in the middle of the misery and you must simply plow through it day by day, pill by pill, treatment by treatment. There will come a time when you can look back and see more clearly how God was carrying you and working in you through this valley, and what now brings tears will give way to a deeper understanding of His mercy and faithfulness.

I am praying with you now in the name of Jesus, who alone is our hope and our comfort.

Father, in Jesus name I bring this beloved cat before You and I bring her owner who loves her so deeply. You know every detail of her body, the tumor, the masses and lesions on her lungs, the labored breathing and coughing. If it is Your will, I ask that You would bring complete healing and full recovery, for nothing is beyond Your power. In the meantime I ask that You would ease any pain or discomfort she feels and give her rest. Help her to breathe more easily, to be able to purr without coughing, to eat normal food and drink water again, and to have regular bowel movements. Give her peace and comfort, and let her feel safe and loved.

Give wisdom and steady hands to her owner. Guide every decision and every act of care, the giving of pills twice a day, the inhaler, the fluids, so that it can be done without hurting her or causing her distress. Grant discernment for each choice that must be made about her care.

And Father, when her time does come, I ask for Your mercy. You know her fear of the car and the clinic and her owner's desire not to let her last moments be filled with terror and confusion. I pray You would grant a peaceful passing, if possible in her sleep at home where she is safe and loved, and if help is needed, provide a compassionate person who can come to the house. Above all, comfort this heart that is crying out to You. Let Your nearness be felt, and let Your peace guard this home.

Thank you for hearing every desperate cry and plea offered in Jesus name. May you know that you are heard, that you are not alone in this grief, and that the Lord who is near to the brokenhearted will carry you through each step ahead.
