Unwanted spirits

We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting you up in prayer as we stand firm in the authority of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. The Scriptures declare in James 4:7, "Be subject therefore to God. But resist the devil, and he will flee from you." We take hold of this promise, knowing that the enemy has no power where the name of Jesus is exalted and His blood is applied.

Father God, in the mighty name of Jesus, we rebuke every word curse that has been spoken against this dear one, whether in ignorance, malice, or deception. Your Word says in Proverbs 18:21, "Death and life are in the power of the tongue," and we declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We break every chain of generational curses, every whispered lie of the enemy, and every ungodly soul tie that has sought to bind them. We command every demonic spirit of oppression, torment, fear, or affliction to flee now in Jesus’ name! You have no place here, for this child of God has been bought with the precious blood of Christ.

We also pray for the breaking of every demonic touch, every unholy influence, every unclean spirit that has sought to defile or harass. The Lord rebuke you, Satan! For it is written in 1 John 4:4, "You are of God, little children, and have overcome them; because greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world." We plead the blood of Jesus over their mind, body, and spirit, and we declare that they are a temple of the Holy Spirit, sanctified and set apart for God’s glory (1 Corinthians 6:19-20).

If there has been any involvement in occult practices, false religions, or ungodly soul ties, whether knowingly or unknowingly, we ask for Your forgiveness, Lord, and for the cleansing power of Your blood to wash over them. Your Word says in Acts 19:19 that those who practiced sorcery brought their books together and burned them, and we pray for that same repentance and turning away from anything that does not align with Your holiness.

We also encourage you, beloved, to stand firm in your identity in Christ. Put on the full armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-18) daily, and renew your mind with the truth of Scripture. Surround yourself with godly believers who can pray with you and encourage you. The enemy seeks to isolate, but God calls us into fellowship with Him and His people.

Heavenly Father, we ask that You fill this precious one with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Let Your light dispel every shadow of darkness, and let Your love cast out all fear (1 John 4:18). We declare that they are more than a conqueror through Christ who loves them (Romans 8:37), and we thank You for the victory that is already theirs in Jesus’ name.

We pray all these things in the powerful, matchless name of Jesus Christ, the Name above every name, the One through whom we have access to the Father. There is no other name by which we are saved (Acts 4:12), and we stand on that truth today. May Your kingdom come and Your will be done in this situation, Lord. Amen.

Thank you for sharing this with us and for letting us stand alongside you in prayer. We take these things seriously, the weight of spoken curses and the reality of spiritual opposition are real, and you are not alone in facing them. At the same time, we want you to know that the name and authority of Jesus is greater, and no curse or dark touch can ultimately stand against Christ’s finished work.

As we pray, one simple practice you might find grounding is to quietly and deliberately renounce, aloud or in your heart, any specific curse or lie you have heard or felt. You don’t need a complicated ritual; just a quiet statement of truth, like “I belong to Jesus, and no accusation holds against me.” Then let your mind rest on what is true: you are hidden in Christ, sealed by His Spirit, and nothing can snatch you from His hand.

Father, we lift up our friend to You right now. In Jesus’ mighty name, we ask You to break every word curse and every touch of the enemy. Let Your light scatter every shadow, and let the peace that surpasses understanding guard this heart and mind. Lord, fill them with a fresh sense of Your nearness and a deep assurance that they are safe in Your love. We pray for lasting freedom and for a renewed confidence to walk forward without fear. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Christ’s virtue to heal and deliver is not in the touch itself, but in Him who is touched. The least contact with Him by faith makes whole, this woman knew it, pressing through the crowd with her desperate resolve. "If I may touch but His clothes, I shall be whole." So it is for you now: every word curse and dark oppression must yield, not by your striving, but by the power that resides in Jesus alone. He is the Deliverer; His very presence breaks the yoke.

Yet consider this: the Spirit of God does wound and break the bones of self-righteousness, bringing a holy bondage of conviction before He grants the liberty of adoption. But that is the work of the Spirit, not the work of the devil. The devil’s touch leaves defilement and fear; Christ’s touch brings cleansing and joy. You have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear, but the Spirit of adoption whereby we cry, Abba, Father. The broken bones He has permitted are not for endless pain but that they may rejoice in His mending. Do not let the accuser’s arrow lodge in your heart; he will throw past failures in your teeth, but the Lord has found a ransom.

Deliverance from the pit comes when the Lamb is slain. Pharaoh held Israel only until the appointed moment; then the Lord brought forth His people with silver and gold, and there was not one feeble person among their tribes. So it is for every soul redeemed by Christ: the chains are not merely broken, they are melted. The column of your old resolve may have been snapped off in shame, but God raises up a new creation. The curse of the law is silenced, for Christ has become the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes. Let this truth settle your spirit: the deliverance is effectual, the victory is achieved, and the enemy’s teeth are broken. Go forth from this captivity, touching Him again by faith, and stand in the liberty wherewith Christ has made you free.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Bring this request to Christ, but do not give men's words or a demon's touch more power than they have. A word curse has only the power that fear and unbelief allow it. In Christ the curse is undone, for He became a curse for us and nailed the record of debt to the cross. Those who hold to faith in Him are blessed, not cursed, even when the accuser speaks against them. So do not go searching after every hidden curse or naming spirits. Stand on the word of God, which is the sword of the Spirit, and with it we may smite the devil himself, not merely ward off his darts.

But I gladly pray for you now.

Lord Jesus Christ, you are set over every law and every unclean thing. When you touched the leper, your hand did not become unclean; the leprous body was made clean by your holy hand. Touch this soul in the same way. Break off from them every word spoken against them that is not from you. Let no demonic touch remain in mind, body, or spirit. Silence the accuser. Cover them with your blood. Give them the faith of the woman who said, If I may only touch his garment, I shall be whole, and let them know that they are clean because you have spoken it. No curse of men or spirits can separate them from your love. Amen.

You are right to bring this to Jesus rather than trying to live under it. Scripture places blessing and curse before us, but it also shows where a curse loses its right to speak. When a king tried to hire a prophet to curse the people God had blessed, the effort failed. God is not a man that he should lie. What he has blessed, no hired voice can curse. In Christ you stand on that side of the line. He has brought you into the new covenant, so the curses that belong to disobedience under the old law are not your final identity. The final word over you is what God has spoken in his Son.

Demonic touch is real, and the Gospels show us again and again that Jesus has authority over it. Unclean spirits obey him. He cast them out with a word. He healed all who were oppressed by them. One woman came behind him and grasped his garment, believing that if she touched his clothes she would be made whole. She was not turned away. A leper said, Lord, if you are willing, you can make me clean. Jesus touched him and answered, I am willing. That same willingness is what you are asking after now.

So I pray in Jesus' name that every word curse spoken against you is broken. Let every evil sentence, every assignment of harm, every repeated threat that has been hung over your life or your family be silenced by the authority of Jesus Christ. I pray that every demonic touch is broken off you now. Let every unclean spirit that has gained access through fear, through someone else's words, or through any door you did not know was open be cast out in the name of Jesus. Lord, cleanse what has been touched. Close what needs to be closed. Fill the places once occupied by dread with your presence and peace.

Do not agree with the curse. Agree with what God has said. Let his word be the fire in your bones and the joy of your heart, because his word is settled forever. You are not blessed because you have lived without failure. You are blessed because Jesus has redeemed you, and no curse can overturn what he has established. May every accusing voice fall silent before him.
