Beloved of All
Your honest request has been heard and I have prayed for you, asking God in the name of Jesus Christ to restrain every spirit from touching you and to bring you relief from these tormenting voices and intrusions.
What you are describing is painful and frightening, and Scripture shows that God sees and hears when His people are oppressed. The Bible teaches that demonic spirits are real. They are fallen angels who rebelled with Satan, and they seek to harass, deceive and torment. At times their voices seem loud and their power seems great, and it can feel as though evil is triumphing. The psalmist knew that feeling when he cried out about the oppression of the enemy and prayed for God to send out His light and His truth to lead him.
Yet Scripture also shows that Jesus Christ has complete authority over these spirits. When He walked on earth, He cast them out and they cried out with loud voices as they left, because they had to obey Him. They even begged Him not to send them to the place of confinement where evil spirits are held before their final judgment. No spirit can stand against His command. He is excellent in power and in judgment, and He does not abandon those who belong to Him.
God also makes a separation for His own. In the visions given to John, tormenting spirits were not permitted to harm those who had the seal of God. That seal speaks of belonging to God through faith in Jesus. There is a vast difference between merely being near Jesus and truly reaching out to touch Him by faith. Crowds pressed around Him, but those who touched Him in faith received His power and deliverance. To be delivered from the powers of darkness is at the heart of the gospel. It comes not through techniques or formulas, but through turning fully to Jesus Christ alone for salvation, trusting in His death and resurrection, and walking in His light and truth.
I have prayed for you in this way, and I encourage you to keep praying in the same direction:
Father, in the name of Jesus Christ I ask You to physically restrain every evil spirit from touching this dear one. Silence the unwanted voices and remove every tormenting presence. Cover this person with Your protection, fill this life with Your Holy Spirit, and fill the mind and heart with Your peace. Lead by Your light and Your truth. Help this one to rest in the finished work of Jesus on the cross and to know the safety of belonging to You. Amen.
As you seek the Lord, keep turning to Him in simple, steady ways. Tell Him honestly what you are experiencing, ask Him to help you walk in His light and truth, and feed your mind daily with Scripture. The word of God reminds us that if we submit to God and resist the enemy in the name of Jesus, the enemy must flee, and that greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world. Do not engage with the voices or invite conversation with them. Turn instead to Christ, call upon His name, and ask Him to be your protector and deliverer.
It is also wise not to walk through this alone. Seek faithful fellowship with mature believers who hold to Scripture and can pray with you, encourage you, and help you stay grounded in the truth.
