Chrysostom
Beloved of All
Your request to keep your job and the burden you and your colleagues are carrying has been heard, and we have prayed for you in the name of Jesus Christ.
Thank you for your honesty in admitting that you have made mistakes at work. That honesty is pleasing to God. Scripture teaches that God does not limit His forgiveness but offers it perpetually to those who come to Him with a repentant heart, and that Christ Himself bore our sins to the Father not to condemn us but to forgive us. If you have not already done so, bring those mistakes before the Lord in confession, and where it is possible, make them right before those at your workplace with humility and diligence. The blessedness of being forgiven removes shame and restores us to walk rightly before Him.
We understand the fear that comes when work is unstable. Even when deliverance seems delayed, the Lord has not left you. He often comes as in the fourth watch of the night, teaching us to endure with courage and to trust Him through the pressing danger. He is loving toward man and watches over all that concerns you. Whether He keeps you in this job or leads you elsewhere, His care for you remains firm.
In this time of trial, bear what has come upon you thankfully and use it as an opportunity to grow in faithfulness. Work heartily as unto the Lord, with honesty, diligence and respect for others, showing through your labor the character of one who belongs to Christ. Do what is in your power to do your duties well, to seek peace with your colleagues, and to trust God with the outcome.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, Your Son, through whom alone we have salvation and access to Your grace. We lift up this dear one and their colleagues who are troubled and fearful about their work. You see the difficulties at their workplace and You know every mistake that has been made. Grant forgiveness where confession is needed, and give wisdom and strength to correct what can be corrected. Grant favor with those in authority, and if it is Your will, preserve their jobs and provide stability. Above all, give peace to their hearts, faith to trust You in every outcome, and grace to labor faithfully for Your glory. May they know that You are near and that You will supply all their needs according to Your riches in Christ. In Jesus Name we pray, Amen.
We will continue to pray for you. Keep seeking the Lord daily in prayer and in His Word, remain faithful in the small things at work, and rest in the knowledge that God loves you and desires your good.
