Jesus help me to be strong and have worth and not keep going back to those that hurt me, those that really need You our prayers for this person are in vain, nothing will help their anger issues and hatred towards your people, just tired of being abused and rejected will we ever get the respect and decency we and loved ones deserve?

We hear the weariness and pain in your heart and we join with you in bringing it before the Lord in Jesus' name. Feeling abused, rejected, and tired from going back to those who hurt you is a heavy burden, and it is right to ask Jesus to be your strength and to show you your true worth in Him.

We want to gently encourage you that your worth is not determined by how others treat you, and it is not found in whether they give you the respect and decency you long for. Your worth is established by God Himself. You are fearfully and wonderfully made, Psalm 139:14, and you are deeply loved and redeemed through the blood of Jesus. When we feel crushed and rejected, we cling to this promise, Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit, Psalm 34:18. We also remember, When my father and my mother forsake me, then Yahweh will take me up, Psalm 27:10. Even when people fail us, God does not forsake us.

We also want to lovingly address the pattern of going back to those who hurt you. God calls us to forgiveness, but forgiveness does not mean we must remain in or repeatedly return to abusive or harmful relationships. We are to guard our hearts with wisdom, Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it is the wellspring of life, Proverbs 4:23. And we are told, If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men, Romans 12:18. That phrase as much as it is up to you reminds us that we cannot control another person's anger, hatred, or rejection, and we are not called to endure ongoing abuse to keep a false peace. The Lord wants you to be strong in Him, not by staying in harm's way, but by setting godly boundaries and seeking safe, biblical community where you can heal. For God didn't give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control, 2 Timothy 1:7.

We understand why you feel that prayers for those who show such anger and hatred toward God's people are in vain, yet we want to encourage you that no prayer offered in Jesus' name is ever in vain. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective, James 5:16, and God's word does not return void. At the same time, God does not force a person to repent. We can pray for their salvation and for God to soften their heart, while also entrusting justice to Him, Don't seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God's wrath. For it is written, Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord, Romans 12:19. You can release that person into God's hands and step away from the cycle of abuse, trusting that He sees every hurt and will act in His perfect time. Let us not be weary in doing good, for we will reap in due season, if we don't give up, Galatians 6:9.

We know the longing for respect and decency for you and your loved ones is deep and valid. God does see the injustice, and He will honor those who walk with Him, but our ultimate comfort is not in whether others finally treat us as we deserve, but in knowing that Jesus Himself was despised and rejected yet is now exalted, and He promises rest to the weary. Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest, Matthew 11:28. He will give you strength for each day, Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness, Isaiah 41:10.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we come before You and lift up this dear one who is weary from rejection and abuse. Lord, we ask You to be their strength when they feel weak and to reveal to them their priceless worth as Your child, created in Your image and bought with the blood of Jesus. Heal the wounds of past hurts and give wisdom and courage to no longer return to those who cause harm, but to walk in the power, love and self-control You have given. We cast all worries on You because You care for us, 1 Peter 5:7. Lord, we also lift up those who are filled with anger and hatred toward Your people. We ask that You would convict their hearts, draw them to repentance, and bring them to salvation in Jesus, yet we entrust them to Your justice and ask You to protect Your child from further harm. Give peace to this heart, surround them and their loved ones with godly people who will show respect, decency and Christlike love, and let them find their rest and identity fully in You. We ask this in the mighty name of Jesus, our only hope and our access to You, Amen.

We hear how worn down you feel from being hurt and rejected, and how much you want to stand strong and know your worth without being pulled back to those who harm you. It makes sense you are asking these questions. Wanting respect and decency for yourself and your loved ones is not too much to ask.

When someone has been repeatedly hurt, it can quietly wear away confidence and make it hard to trust your own worth. Many people find themselves returning to familiar painful relationships not because they lack faith or strength, but because that old sense of powerlessness lingers even after the hurt. Recognizing that pattern is not shameful, it can be a first step toward choosing a different path.

One small step that often helps is naming one safe person you can be honest with this week, a trusted pastor, counselor or mature friend, and letting them know you want support in holding boundaries. It can help to write down ahead of time what you will do the next time you feel pulled back, who you will call, where you will go, and what a respectful boundary sounds like for you. If you ever feel unsafe, please reach out right away to a trusted support person or local help in your area, and consider ongoing counseling alongside prayer for steady healing.

Jesus, we lift our friend to You. You see their tired heart and their desire for strength and worth in You. Guard them, give them wisdom for each next decision, surround them and their loved ones with safe community, and bring deep healing in Your time. Lead them toward respect and peace that reflects Your care. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.

Your prayer carries a weariness that many of the Lord's tried people have known, to be wounded by those who should have loved you, and to feel your own strength spent and your worth questioned by their unkindness.

Hear this truth for your comfort, all strength apart from God is derived strength and is measurable, and must come to an end. Pools which are not self supplied are always liable to be exhausted as the water is drained from them. Your own resolve, your own will to be strong, will fail you, and it is meant to fail you, that you may learn what the prophet has said, they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength. To wait upon Him is not to sit in idle despair, but to plunge into the Godhead's deepest sea, to throw yourself upon His might and majesty, and to be borne up by grace. When there remains no strength in you, nor any ability of any kind, then fling yourself upon the divine strength and lay hold upon it. He has said, I will strengthen them in the Lord, and that promise will be assuredly performed. Your strength shall be to sit still while God arises and becomes your arm every morning, your salvation in the time of trouble.

You ask for worth, and for grace not to keep going back to those that hurt you. Know that your worth is not measured by the respect or decency that others give or withhold. The glory of your strength lies not in any creature, but in God alone. You are made in His image and, if you are in Christ, bought with His precious blood. That is your worth, settled at Calvary, not in the fickle favour of men. And it is no dishonor to wisdom to refuse to return to a place of harm. The Lord who heals the broken in heart does not call His children to offer themselves again and again to abuse and rejection. Caution and self examination are good pilots. Keep your own vineyard. Seek the counsel and covering of faithful pastors and mature believers who can help you set a godly boundary, and if you are in danger, seek help that can keep you safe. To forgive from the heart, as Christ commands, is not the same as to trust again where there has been no repentance, nor to live where there is no safety.

You fear your prayers for those who have shown anger and hatred toward the Lord's people are in vain. They are not. The leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations, and even the least thing about Christ is healing. His healing power was present when He was teaching, for faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God. The Lord can change the life blood and make the nature other than it was before, and He often does so through the very prayers His people think are fruitless. Yet you are not their saviour. You may pray and entrust them to the great Physician, while you do not place yourself under their hand to be wounded again. Vengeance belongs to the Lord, and He sees every slight and every cruelty, and He will in His own time bring forth righteousness.

Will you ever be treated with the respect and decency you desire. This world did not give its best treatment to the Master Himself, and we must not think it strange if it withholds its honour from His servants. But the Lord knows how to honour those who wait upon Him, and He will give you, even now, a people who will love you rightly, and in the world to come, a full vindication in His presence. Many a child of God when weary has renewed his strength at the remembrance of pardoning mercy, that pardon and healing are one in Christ.

Let us pray with you. O Lord, strengthen this weary one in the Lord, for all other strength has failed. Reveal more fully the worth that is already given in Christ, that this dear soul may not seek it in those who despise it. Grant wisdom to walk in holiness and in safety, and grace to forgive without returning to be broken again. Heal the wounded heart, for Thou healest the broken in heart and bindest up their wounds. And for those who are yet angry and hard toward Thee and Thy people, we ask that Thou wouldst bring them to repentance and faith in Jesus Christ alone, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved. If it be Thy will, work healing where there has been hatred. Keep this one close to Thee, waiting upon Thee day by day, till strength is renewed. Amen.
