Really need prayer

Thank you for sharing your heart so openly and honestly. Your pain is heard, and you are not forgotten even when it feels that way. It is deeply hard to carry poor health, depression and loneliness at the same time, and to feel that those who once checked on you and even your own son have grown distant. God sees that hurt and He cares for you in it.

Scripture tells us that God looks with favor on the one who is humble and quiet and trembles at His word, and that a contrite and humble heart He will not despise. Jesus said blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. That promise is for those who feel low and broken and who bring their need to Him. You said you have God, and that is the truest hope. He draws near to the brokenhearted and He is faithful when people fail us, even when we feel alone in the world.

I want to pray for you now.

Father in heaven, I lift up this dear one to You in the name of Jesus Christ, Your Son who alone is our salvation and hope. You see the loneliness, the hurt, the depression and the health struggles. You know the ache of waiting to hear from those who once checked in and from a son who has stayed away. Comfort this heart with Your presence. Remind this child that You are near, that You will never leave or forsake those who trust in You. Heal what is wounded, strengthen what is weak, and give peace that guards heart and mind. Provide daily encouragement, bring faithful community and caring people around to offer support and companionship, and help with health needs and the heaviness of depression. Give wisdom to reach out for help when needed, and restore hope day by day. Let Your love be felt in a real way, and let joy return in Your time. I ask this in the saving name of Jesus, amen.

Please do not walk through this alone. If you have a local church, let a pastor or trusted believer know how you are doing so they can check on you and pray with you regularly. If depression and health troubles continue to weigh heavily, please also reach out to a doctor or counselor for care. Keep bringing your heart to God in prayer, reading His word, and asking Him to show His care each day. He hears you, He loves you, and He is with you.

Thank you for sharing so honestly about how heavy things feel right now. Feeling alone and unseen, missing contact from people who have checked on you, and hurting over distance from your son, all while dealing with poor health and depression, is a deep kind of pain. It makes sense that you feel down and hurt. Please know that God sees you in this place and He has not left you. Scripture says He is near to the brokenhearted and that He will never leave nor forsake His own. Even when people grow quiet, His care does not grow quiet.

I want to pray for you and also share some truth about healing that may bring comfort. The Bible shows that Jesus healed in many different ways. Sometimes He healed instantly with a word, sometimes with a touch, sometimes gradually, and sometimes from a distance without even being present. He was never locked into one pattern. That tells us God is free to work however He chooses, and no single method limits Him.

All true healing is from Him. He created our bodies and built healing processes into them, so even a slow or gradual recovery is still His work and still divine. And His healing is not only physical. He also brings healing to the mind and emotions, to wounds and scars and loneliness that weigh on the heart. The prophet Isaiah wrote that He bore our griefs and infirmities, a passage that Matthew connects to Jesus taking our sicknesses upon Himself. That shows the heart of Jesus to carry what burdens us.

At the same time, there is much about healing we do not understand. The Bible is honest that God does not heal everyone in the same way or at the same time in this life. His ways are higher than ours and beyond our finding out, and His work in healing is sovereign. It is His to direct. That also means your sickness or your struggle is not a sign that you have failed or that you lack faith, and no one should place guilt on you for being unwell. Jesus never scolded people who simply came to Him for help. He had compassion on them and met them with kindness, and He has that same compassion for you now.

God can and does heal today, and it is right to ask Him for healing, for lifting of depression, for strength in your body, and for comfort in loneliness. It is also right to keep using the ordinary means He has provided, such as care from doctors and help for depression, trusting that He works through those means as well.

I am praying for you in the name of Jesus, that He would surround you with His presence in a very real way, that He would ease loneliness and lift the weight of depression, that He would touch your health according to His wise and loving will, whether quickly or gradually, and bring healing to body, mind and heart. I pray He would remind you daily that you are not forgotten, that you are deeply loved and valued by Him, and that He would restore and strengthen relationships where possible and bring new fellowship and encouragement around you. I pray He would give you peace that passes understanding, rest at night, and hope for each new day, and that you would feel His nearness even in quiet hours with your beloved pet companion.

You are not alone in the world. You are held by God who cares for you completely. Keep bringing every hurt and need to Jesus honestly, as you have done here. He hears, He understands, and He is faithful. May the Lord bless you, keep you, and let you sense His love and presence with you today.

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. We have been lifting you up to the Lord and bringing your specific needs before Him. We have prayed for your health and for the Lord to lift the weight of depression and loneliness and to comfort you in the hurt of feeling alone in the world. We have prayed for you as you miss hearing from those who have checked on you faithfully over the last few years and for the pain of not hearing from your son, and we have thanked God for His faithful presence with you and for the companionship of your fur baby.

We are trusting the promises of Psalm 34:18 that the Lord is close to the brokenhearted and Psalm 68:6 that God sets the lonely in families. We pray that you will feel His nearness and His love in a very real way and that He will provide encouragement and community and strength for your health day by day.

If your request was answered and you have felt more peace or improvement in your health or have heard from those you care about, please post a praise report and let us all know so we may rejoice with you. If your request does not seem to have been answered and you still feel alone and hurt and down, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek Him through His son Jesus Christ. We pray in Jesus Name.
