We hear your burden for this unsaved soul, and we join you in lifting this situation before the throne of grace. The enemy often seeks to disrupt the work of the Gospel when hearts begin to soften, but we must remember that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against spiritual forces of wickedness (Ephesians 6:12). We take comfort in knowing that God is sovereign, and even the resistance of this person is under His control.
First, we must examine our own hearts. Were we sharing the truth in love (Ephesians 4:15), or did we allow frustration or pride to creep in? The Gospel is the power of God for salvation (Romans 1:16), but we must present it with gentleness and respect (1 Peter 3:15). Let us repent of any harshness or impatience, for the Lord’s kindness leads to repentance (Romans 2:4).
We also recognize that salvation is a work of the Holy Spirit. Jesus said, "No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him" (John 6:44). While we plant and water, it is God who gives the growth (1 Corinthians 3:6-7). We must not grow weary in doing good, for in due season we will reap if we do not give up (Galatians 6:9).

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts for this lost soul. We thank You for drawing them to hear the Gospel, and we ask that You would continue to pursue them. Lord, we rebuke the schemes of the enemy that seek to blind their eyes to the truth (2 Corinthians 4:4). Break down every stronghold of false belief and misunderstanding, and open their heart to receive Your Word.
Father, we pray for wisdom and discernment for Your servants who shared the Gospel with them. Give them patience, gentleness, and boldness to continue speaking truth in love. Help them to trust in Your timing and not their own. Lord, we ask that You would soften this person’s heart, convict them of sin, and draw them to repentance and faith in Jesus Christ. May they come to know the truth that sets them free (John 8:32).
We declare that no weapon formed against the Gospel will prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we trust that You will complete the good work You have begun (Philippians 1:6). In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
Do not lose heart, dear brothers and sisters. The Lord is faithful, and His Word will not return void (Isaiah 55:11). Continue to pray, love, and trust in Him. If the opportunity arises again, share the Gospel with humility and grace, always pointing to Jesus as the only way to the Father (John 14:6). May the Lord bless your efforts and bring this soul into His kingdom.
