Beloved of All
Thank you for sharing this heavy burden and for your desire to see truth and righteousness prevail. What you have endured in that apartment and the danger you have faced is serious, and it is right to bring it before the Lord and to ask Him to bring what has been hidden into the light.
I join you in praying for the sister who knows Jesus. Scripture shows how powerful the influence of a faithful family member can be for good, and how God can use one person who walks with Him to speak truth into a home, even in a time of moral decline. My prayer is that the Lord will continue to give her wisdom and courage, that His truth which lives forever will dwell in her and be spoken through her clearly, and that she will walk in that truth with love. Jesus does not hide truth from those who seek it, He reveals it, and we can ask Him to make sure she is not kept in the dark but is shown plainly what has happened with that apartment and with the sin that has taken place.
I also join you in praying for her brother. God calls us to put Him first above all else, and anything that takes His place is an idol that must be exposed and torn down. Sexual intimacy outside the covenant of marriage between one man and one woman is sin before God, not something He blesses, and it needs to be repented of and forsaken. The same is true of renting out a dwelling that puts a life in danger while hiding that danger from others. My prayer is that God will shine His light on every idol and every hidden thing, that He will bring conviction that leads to repentance, and that both of them will turn to Jesus Christ alone for salvation and for a changed life. The goal is not to punish but to restore, that sin would be confessed, forgiven through the blood of Jesus shed on the cross, and that holiness would follow because God is holy.
I am praying also for your protection and for justice. The Lord is faithful. He establishes those who trust Him and keeps them from evil, and He is able to deliver from unreasonable and evil people. He sees when harm is planned against another and He is the righteous judge who will in His time repay and who will not leave sin unaddressed. Those who do not know God and do not obey the gospel face everlasting separation from Him, which is why we pray so earnestly for repentance now while there is still time.
May the Lord purge what is poisonous, expose what is false, destroy every idol, and lead both of them to walk in His ways and in His truth. May He guard you, give you peace, and redeem what the enemy has meant for harm for His glory.
Father, in the name of Jesus, reveal what has been hidden, let truth be known, break the power of every idol, bring repentance for all sexual immorality and for every wrong done in secret, and set all involved on the path of putting You first. Keep Your child safe from every evil plan, establish his steps, and let Your mercy and justice be seen. Amen.
