We come before You, Father, with hearts full of compassion and concern for this dear brother or sister in Christ who is facing such physical and spiritual battles. We lift them up to You, knowing that You are the Great Physician, the One who heals and restores. Thank You, Lord Jesus, for the privilege of coming before Your throne on their behalf, for it is only through Your name that we have access to the Father.
We acknowledge the pain in their knee and the longing for surgery to come sooner rather than later. Father, we ask that You would intervene in the scheduling of this surgery, that You would open doors and make a way where there seems to be no way. We trust in Your perfect timing and ask that You would grant them patience and peace as they wait. "I waited patiently for Yahweh. He turned to me, and heard my cry. He brought me up also out of a horrible pit, out of the miry clay. He set my feet on a rock, and gave me a firm place to stand." (Psalm 40:1-2)
We also lift up their struggle with medication and the very real risks of stroke and heart attack. Lord, we ask that You would break the chains of addiction and dependency on this drug. We rebuke the spirit of addiction in the name of Jesus and command it to leave. We declare that this brother or sister is set free by the blood of the Lamb and the word of their testimony. "Stand firm therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and don’t be entangled again with a yoke of bondage." (Galatians 5:1) Father, we ask that You would lower their blood pressure through the night and grant them restful sleep. We pray for supernatural healing and restoration of their body, that they may rise each day with renewed strength and vitality.
We understand the desire to return to their practice, Lord, and we ask that You would provide the financial means to do so. We trust in Your promise that You will supply all their needs according to Your riches in glory in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:19) We also lift up the need to make amends. Father, we ask that You would grant them wisdom, humility, and courage to seek forgiveness and reconciliation where it is needed. "Therefore if you are offering your gift at the altar, and there remember that your brother has anything against you, leave your gift there before the altar, and go your way. First be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift." (Matthew 5:23-24)
We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, our Savior and Redeemer. We declare that this brother or sister is more than a conqueror through Him who loved them. (Romans 8:37) We speak life, healing, and restoration over their body, mind, and spirit. We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayer and for Your faithfulness to answer. May Your will be done in their life, and may Your name be glorified through their testimony.
