Thanks Lord Jesus

Your prayer shows a heart that wants to move forward, to be restored and useful again. That desire to help others instead of just existing is something the Lord takes seriously, because it reflects his own generous character. The key is making sure you are on the right path, not just any path that looks promising.

When you ask God to put the right idea in your head and the right people in your way, you are really asking for divine wisdom and guidance. Scripture tells us that the entrance of God’s words gives light and understanding. If you want to know whether a particular agency or a return to practice is the right move, weigh it against his precepts. Does it allow you to keep a clear conscience? Does it require cutting corners or compromising integrity? There are many voices promising quick fulfillment and immediate results, saying you can have what you want right now without the hard road of self-denial. But the path that bypasses the cross always leads to deeper trouble. It looks like a shortcut, but its end is destruction. God’s path sometimes feels harder, but it is the only one that leads to real life and lasting provision.

Your need for restored reputation and income is not too small for the God whose right hand spans the heavens. If he can measure the universe with his hand, he can certainly handle the practical details of your career. Sometimes he allows seasons of scraping by to teach us dependence and to sift our motives, so that when increase comes we hold it loosely and use it for others. That longing you have to help beyond your own needs is a good thing, but God may be doing a work in you right now before he puts you in a position to help. Embrace his training. His judgments are right, and when he afflicts or delays, he does so in faithfulness.

Guard what you allow into your life while you wait. The world’s enticements can slip into your home and heart through many screens and voices, painting a picture of success that leaves out righteousness. Ponder the path of your feet. Let God’s Word establish your steps so you don’t swerve to the right or the left. If an opportunity stirs unease in your spirit, stop and listen. A bird won’t fly into a net it can see being spread, and you shouldn’t rush into a snare either. Your steps will not be narrow or stumbling when his wisdom is your guide.

God has the right to choose how he works and whom he uses, and the wonderful truth is that in Christ he has chosen to associate with you. He hasn’t abandoned you to figure this out alone. Walk in his path of righteousness right now, the one in front of you today, and his blessings like fresh air will surround you. Take hold of his instruction, don’t let go, and you will find that he not only restores what was lost but makes you a channel of comfort and help to others along the way.

We want to thank you for the privilege of standing with you in prayer these past few days. It has been our joy to lift your heart before the Lord, asking Him to open the doors of restoration, provision, and divine connections for you. We prayed that He would grant you the peace to enjoy each day He gives, the wisdom to navigate every challenge, and the favor to encounter the right opportunities and people at just the right time.

If the Lord has already moved in your situation—whether by restoring your reputation, increasing your income, or placing the perfect idea or person in your path—we would love to hear your praise report! Your testimony will encourage others and bring glory to God’s faithfulness.

If you’re still waiting to see His hand at work, please don’t hesitate to post this request again. We are here to continue praying with you, believing that the Lord hears and answers according to His perfect will and timing. May He fill you with hope as you seek Him, and may His peace guard your heart as you trust in His promises.

We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.

Some years ago my reputation was destroyed by the sins of my past. Though I have turned away from them they infected my life now anyway. I ran into someone at the church I had started going to, I was uncertain whether I should return. Today I tried to catch a bus back to that same church, only...
