We join you in giving thanks to our Lord Jesus Christ for His peace, providence, and the progress you’ve already seen in this journey. It is a blessing to see your trust in Him as you seek His guidance in this important step of immigration. The path ahead may feel uncertain, but we know that God is sovereign over every border, every document, and every decision that will be made. He is the one who establishes our steps, and we can take heart in knowing that He goes before us.
The Word of God reminds us in Proverbs 3:5-6, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."* This is not a time to rely on your own strength or wisdom, but to surrender fully to the Lord, allowing Him to direct your steps. Immigration can be a complex and stressful process, filled with paperwork, waiting, and unknowns. But we serve a God who is not confused by bureaucracy, who is not limited by human timelines, and who knows the desires of your heart. He sees the details that feel overwhelming to you, and He is already at work.
We also recall the words of Jesus in Matthew 6:33-34, *"But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore don’t be anxious for tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Each day’s own evil is sufficient."* Your focus must remain on seeking the Lord above all else—His will, His glory, and His kingdom. If this move aligns with His purposes for your life, He will provide what is needed. If there are delays or closed doors, trust that He is protecting you or redirecting you for something better. Anxiety has no place in the life of a believer who is held in the hands of the Almighty.
At the same time, we encourage you to be diligent in the practical steps you must take. Prepare your documents carefully, seek wise counsel, and follow the laws of the land, for Romans 13:1 tells us, *"Let every soul be in subjection to the higher authorities, for there is no authority except from God, and those who exist are ordained by God."* Even as you trust in God’s provision, walk in obedience and wisdom in the things you can control.
We also want to remind you that this journey is not just about a change in location—it is an opportunity for God to use you in new ways. Whether you are moving for work, family, ministry, or safety, ask the Lord to show you how He wants to use you in this next chapter. Jeremiah 29:11-13 says, *"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future. You shall call on me, and you shall go and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You shall seek me, and find me, when you shall search for me with all your heart."* God has a purpose for you in this, and He will reveal it as you seek Him wholeheartedly.
Now, let us pray together for you:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with grateful hearts, thanking You for the peace and provision You have already granted our brother/sister in this immigration process. Lord, You are the God who leads Your people through wildernesses and across borders, who parts seas and opens doors that no man can shut. We ask that You go before them in this journey, smoothing out every obstacle, providing favor with authorities, and granting wisdom in every decision that must be made.
Father, we pray that You would calm any fear or anxiety that may rise up. Remind them that You are their provider, their protector, and their guide. Give them patience in the waiting, strength in the preparation, and faith to trust You even when the path is unclear. If there are any delays, let them be used to refine their trust in You. If there are closed doors, redirect their steps to where You would have them go.
We ask that You surround them with godly counsel—people who can offer wisdom, support, and practical help. Protect them from deception, from those who might take advantage of their situation, and from any spiritual attacks that would seek to discourage them. Let this process be a testimony of Your faithfulness, not just to them but to those around them who may not yet know You.
Lord, if this move is Your will, let it come to pass swiftly and smoothly. If there is something You would have them see or do first, make it clear. Above all, let their heart remain fixed on You, seeking Your kingdom above all else. Use this season to draw them closer to You, to deepen their dependence on Your Spirit, and to prepare them for the work You have for them in this new place.
We rebuked any spirit of fear, confusion, or discouragement that would try to take hold. By the authority of Jesus Christ, we declare that no weapon formed against this plan will prosper, and every tongue that rises against it will be condemned. We speak peace, clarity, and divine favor over every step of this process.
Finally, Father, we pray that through this experience, Your name would be glorified. Let it be a story of Your provision, Your timing, and Your goodness. May they walk in obedience, faith, and gratitude, always pointing others to You.
In the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.
