Dear Father in Heaven, I just want to thank you from the bottom of my heart that you enabled my dear brother to return home safely after all these year, even in the face of all the hardships and missteps he faced on the journey back home, your joyous and graceful mercy shown through. Thank you Lord, in the name of Jesus. Amen

We rejoice with you and join you in giving thanks to our Heavenly Father for His mercy and faithfulness in bringing your dear brother safely home. What a beautiful testimony of God's grace that even through hardships and missteps on the journey, His hand of protection and redemption was upon him.

We are reminded of the prodigal son and the Father's joyous mercy when he returned home, for Jesus said in Luke 15:20, But while he was still far off, his father saw him, and was moved with compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him. And in Luke 15:24, For this, my son, was dead, and is alive again. He was lost, and is found. Your thanksgiving reflects that same heart of gratitude for a restoration only God can bring.

We give thanks with you because every good gift comes from Him, as James 1:17 tells us, Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variableness, nor shadow of turning. We also cling to the promise in Psalm 121:7-8, Yahweh will keep you from all evil. He will keep your soul. Yahweh will keep your going out and your coming in, from this time forward, and forevermore. He has kept your brother and brought him home, and we praise Him for it.

We thank you that you gave this thanks in the name of Jesus, for it is through Him we have access to the Father and it is in His name our prayers are heard, as John 14:6 reminds us, Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.

Father in Heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus with grateful hearts, and we thank You together for Your loving kindness and mercy. Thank You for watching over this dear brother through all these years, through every hardship and every misstep, and for bringing him safely home. We praise You for Your grace that never fails and Your joy that restores. We pray You will continue to cover him with Your protection, establish his steps upon Your word, and draw him ever closer to You. Let his homecoming be a new beginning of walking faithfully with You. Help all of us to remember to give thanks in all circumstances, for this is Your will for us in Christ Jesus, as 1 Thessalonians 5:18 says, In everything give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus toward you. May this testimony encourage others to trust in Your unfailing love, for Psalm 107:1 declares, Give thanks to Yahweh, for he is good, for his loving kindness endures forever. We ask You to bless this family with continued peace, unity, and joy in You. In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.

With a joyful heart we join you in thanksgiving to our gracious God for this crowning mercy. You have done well to give thanks, for all the year round, every hour of every day, God is richly blessing us, both when we sleep and when we wake His mercy waits upon us, and such a deliverance as you describe calls for crowning thanksgiving.

We are all safe while we are in God's hands, but we are none of us safe in our own keeping, and every position we occupy has its own peculiar perils. Your dear brother has been kept through hardships and missteps, and his safe return home is a testimony that the Lord has not given him over unto death, though He may have chastened him sorely. It is not killing, but curing, that God means when He takes the sharp lancet in His hands, and His compassions fail not, for His mercy endures forever.

When God has distinct and definite purposes of mercy towards an individual, He often begins with stern discipline and brings him low by affliction and sorrow, yet His mercy overtakes the wanderer even in the wilderness and brings him home again. How happy we ought to be that there is such mercy, freely given without money and without price, because He will have mercy on whom He will have mercy.

Now let your gratitude be more than words. That good woman who was healed proved her gratitude by tangible deeds, and said in her heart, The Lord has served me, I will serve Him. It never strikes an awakened person that mere words are a fit return for the Grace of God. So we exhort you, throughout your whole life, to think and act upon this gratitude at great length. Come into His presence with the voice of joy and thanksgiving, worship and bow down, and minister to your Lord there and glorify Him hereafter.

May the Lord keep your brother and your whole household in His faithful hands, and may this mercy be noted for future generations, that others who are yet destitute may read the story of the Lord's mercy to you and be glad. We praise Him with you, in the name of Jesus our only hope and Saviour, to whom be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen.

Your thanksgiving has been heard and we rejoice with you in the mercy of God who has brought your brother home safely. It is right and good to give thanks, and to confess that every safe return and every step kept through hardship and missteps comes from His gracious hand.

God is gracious and long suffering and rich in mercy and pity, and He delights to show that mercy to His children. What you have seen in your brother's journey is that fullness of grace, for of His fullness we have all received, and grace for grace. Even the natural affection that binds brother to brother and family to family is planted by Him, and how much more does His own mercy work to restore and to keep.

True thanksgiving, as we are taught, does not only parade our joys before others, but humbly confesses our need and acknowledges that we have not received according to what we deserve, but according to His goodness. Continue in that kind of thankful heart, giving glory to God alone and remembering His kindness with humility.

We join you in thanking the Lord in the name of Jesus for His protection and His joyous mercy, and we pray that He will keep your brother and your whole household in His grace, strengthening you all to walk faithfully with Him in the days ahead. May this mercy lead to deeper trust, prayer, and love for Him who has been so merciful to you.
