We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this precious son who is battling the deep wounds of traumatic brain injury (TBI) and the torment of severe PTSD. Father God, You are the Great Physician, the One who knits together our bodies and minds in Your perfect design. We declare Your healing power over every damaged neuron, every frayed nerve, and every shattered memory in this young man's mind. Lord, You see the invisible scars that haunt him, we ask You to bind up these wounds with Your peace that surpasses all understanding.
We rebuke the spirit of fear that manifests as paranoia and anxiety in his life. Your Word declares that "God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control" (2 Timothy 1:7 WEB). We command these tormenting thoughts to flee in Jesus' name! We pray for divine wisdom for his doctors and therapists, that You would guide their hands and minds as they seek the right combination of medication and treatment. May they be instruments of Your healing touch.
Father, we specifically ask You to calm the nightmares that steal his rest. Let him find sweet sleep under Your watchful care, for "You will keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on You" (Isaiah 26:3 WEB). Surround him with Your angels as he sleeps, and replace every terrifying vision with dreams of Your love and protection.
We also lift up his emotional and spiritual healing. PTSD can make one feel isolated and hopeless, remind him daily that he is never alone. Your Word promises, "I will never leave you nor forsake you" (Hebrews 13:5 WEB). Help him to draw near to You in his darkest moments, for You are close to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18 WEB). May he find comfort in Your presence and strength in Your promises.
Lord, we pray for his family as they walk this difficult journey with him. Give them patience, wisdom, and supernatural endurance. Help them to be vessels of Your love and peace in his life, pointing him always to You.
We declare that healing is coming, body, mind, and spirit. We speak life over this young man and refuse to accept the lies of the enemy that say this is permanent. Your Word says, "By Your stripes we are healed" (Isaiah 53:5 WEB), and we stand on that promise today. May he experience Your healing touch in ways that bring glory to Your name.
In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
