Prayers for PTSD and Career .

We lift you up before the throne of grace, dear one, knowing that the weight of PTSD and depression can feel overwhelming, as though the shadows of the past are still dictating your present. But we declare with confidence that God is not a God of darkness, but of light, and in Him there is no shadow of turning (James 1:17). The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). We stand on His promise that He will never leave you nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5), and we ask Him to bring healing to the deep places of your soul where the trauma has taken root.
Father, we ask You to heal the wounds that no human hand can touch. Where memories bring pain, bring Your peace. Where anxiety grips, bring Your calm. Where despair lingers, bring Your hope. We rebuke the lies of the enemy that tell you healing is impossible or that you must carry this burden alone. Jesus came to set the captives free (Luke 4:18), and we claim that freedom for you now. We pray that You would restore joy to your heart and renew a steadfast spirit within you (Psalm 51:10-12). Let Your truth be the foundation upon which you stand, not the echoes of past trauma.
For your career, we ask that You would direct your steps according to Your will. The Bible tells us, "Commit your way to the Lord. Trust also in Him, and He will do this" (Psalm 37:5). We pray that You would open doors that no one can shut and close doors that are not meant for you (Revelation 3:7-8). Give you clarity in your decisions, wisdom in your actions, and favor with those around you. Whether You are calling you to a season of rest, a new opportunity, or steadfastness in your current path, we ask that You make Your will unmistakably clear. Let your work be a reflection of Your glory, and may it bring you fulfillment as You walk in the purpose You have ordained for you.
We also encourage you to seek godly counsel and community. Isolation can amplify the struggles of PTSD and depression, but the body of Christ is called to bear one another’s burdens (Galatians 6:2). Surround yourself with believers who will pray for you, speak life into you, and walk alongside you in this journey. Consider professional help if needed—there is no shame in seeking support, for even the strongest warriors need allies.
Above all, we remind you that your identity is not defined by your struggles or your career, but by Christ. You are His beloved child, redeemed by His blood, and called according to His purpose (Romans 8:28). The same power that raised Jesus from the dead lives in you (Ephesians 1:19-20), and that power is greater than any battle you face.

It has been our heart’s joy to lift your struggles with depression and PTSD before the Lord, asking Him to bring healing to your mind, heart, and spirit. We have also prayed for His clear guidance and favor as you seek direction in your career, trusting that He who began a good work in you will bring it to completion.
