Talking

Dhitlor

Good and Faithful Servant
Please pray for me as my job involves talking to people all day. I'm feeling very down and overwhelmed for multiple reasons today and I don't feel like talking to anyone today but I have to. I'm starting work in the next few minutes. Please pray for me as I honestly want to find a different line of work that doesn't involve so much talking if the Lord wills. Thank you.

We hear your weariness and the heavy weight you’re carrying today, and we lift you up before the Lord with hearts full of compassion. The exhaustion of constant interaction, especially when your spirit is already weighed down, can feel like an impossible burden. We want you to know that your feelings are seen and valid, and we stand with you in prayer as you step into this day.

Father God, we come before You now, lifting up our brother/sister who is feeling overwhelmed and weary in their work. You know the depths of their heart, the fatigue they carry, and the desire for a change that aligns with Your will. Lord, we ask that You would strengthen them with Your peace and presence as they engage with others today. Give them the words to speak, the patience to listen, and the grace to endure when it feels like too much. Remind them that You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in times of trouble (Psalm 46:1).

We also pray for clarity and wisdom regarding their work. If it is Your will for them to seek a different path, we ask that You open the right doors and close the ones that are not meant for them. Guide their steps, Lord, and let them feel Your leading in every decision. Help them to trust in You, knowing that You have a plan for their life, even when the road feels uncertain (Jeremiah 29:11).

We rebuke the spirit of discouragement and overwhelm that is trying to take hold of their heart. We declare that they are not alone, for You are with them, and Your strength is made perfect in their weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9). Fill them with Your joy and peace as they lean on You today.

Lastly, if there is any unconfessed sin or area of their life that is not aligned with Your will, we ask that You bring it to light and grant them the courage to surrender it to You. Only in You can true rest and renewal be found.

We pray all of this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the One who understands our weariness and invites us to cast our burdens upon Him (Matthew 11:28). May He surround you with His peace and give you the strength to press on, knowing that He is faithful. You are loved, and we are standing with you in prayer.

We’re sorry you’re carrying such a heavy load today. There’s something uniquely draining about a job that requires constant conversation when your heart just wants to be quiet. It’s not weakness to feel overwhelmed by that; it’s honest. We’ve found that when we’re that depleted, the best thing we can do is narrow our focus, not to the whole day, but to the very next person, the very next call, asking God for just enough grace for that one exchange.

It’s not wrong to desire a different kind of work, and you’re wise not to make any sudden decisions in the middle of a hard day. For now, maybe you can simply treat this openness to change as a quiet conversation with God that will unfold over time, not something you have to figure out immediately. In the meantime, giving yourself permission to be less than perfectly energetic or eloquent can take some pressure off; people often need our presence more than our polished words.

We’re praying with you right now:

Lord Jesus, you know what it is to be weary and pressed by demands. Please meet our friend in these next hours. Steady their heart, give them small moments of quiet between conversations, and help them sense your nearness in the middle of the noise. Grant wisdom for the longer road ahead, opening or closing doors as you see best. Until then, be their strength when their own is gone. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about. God, please forever honor this prayer over each of our lives. God Thank You. Amen, so be it by faith, and by faith, it is so

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The soul that is weary with much speaking may find a peculiar fellowship with the Talking Book, which speaks when our own spirit is faint and our tongue cleaves to the roof of our mouth. You are not alone in this heaviness, for the condescending habit of the Word is to draw near and whisper, "I am with thee." Divine Gentleness acknowledges the frame that is but dust, and Divine Sovereignty appoints every station, so that even this day's burden of words is measured out by Him who knows the weight of thy cares. When the heart would flee from the multitude of voices, the Shepherd of Israel can make thee to lie down in green pastures within thine own soul, even while thy lips are moving.

Guidance to Grace and glory often leads through paths we would not choose, yet the Divine Instructor trains His own as an eagle stirreth up her nest. He may be teaching thee a deeper dependence upon His strength, or He may be preparing a door into another field of labour. Acquiescence in the Divine will is the sweet fruit of grace, haste would only breed mischief, but humble waiting discovers the Lord's timing. If it be His purpose to change thy toil, the interposition will come with a clearness that leaves no room for doubt; if not, He will make thy tongue as the pen of a ready writer, and thy words as a well-watered garden to weary souls.

Fret not thyself because of the present heaviness. The secret of the tabernacle is this: God's presence is the one hope of His people, and that presence is not bound by the hours of our labour. Cast thy burden upon Him, and He shall sustain thee. When thou art most emptied, Divine Grace can fill; when thou art most silent toward men, the Talking Book will speak all the more tenderly to thee. Walk humbly with God, yield thyself entirely to His will, and thou shalt find that even this day's yoke is lined with His gentleness. He who delivered David from the paw of the lion and the bear shall deliver thee from this flood of trouble, and perchance surprise thee with a mercy beyond thy asking.

Consider this heaviness of spirit: do not root up the tares hastily, lest you uproot wheat with them. In that daily necessity of speech, many souls may yet turn and become wheat; grant them patience, then, for the Lord's sake. Fill your mind rather with spiritual meditations, and your mouth, though it must talk, will be armed with holy words, purifying your conscience and drawing down grace. Be renewed in the spirit of your mind, for whosoever has the Spirit puts off old weariness. Stand by the King as a wakeful eunuch, not gloomy nor downcast, but active and healthful; the good cannot fall away while they continue in virtue. If the Lord wills, He will open another way, but while you remain, let your tongue serve Him and be a succorer to many.
