Your exhaustion is not a sign that you have been abandoned. It is the very place where your own strength runs out and God’s strength is invited to take over. When every word feels like a weight and your heart wants to retreat, you are being brought to a dependence that is more precious than any comfortable workday.

What you are living right now feels like a sharp disruption, but God has not lost sight of you. He often uses the very burdens we long to escape as His tools to refine our character, to teach us to rely on Him rather than on our own resources. Do not despise the day or speak as though it has no purpose. Job cried out from his grief with words he did not fully understand, yet behind all his trouble was a divine permission that he could not see. The load of constant talking may be the exact instrument God is using to shape something eternal in you. Happy is the one whom God corrects; He makes sore and then binds up, He wounds and His hands make whole.

Take heart that Jesus is the true daysman, one who places His hand on both God and man. He understands the weariness of your soul, and He makes intercession for you. When your own words fail, lean into His life within you. Ask Him to fill your speech with grace and to sustain your spirit moment by moment. You may discover that the strength that carries you through today is not your own, but Christ dwelling in your heart by faith.

It is right to bring your honest desire for different work before the Lord. He knows your frame. But do not let the desire for a change become a demand that blinds you to what He is doing right now. His timing is perfect, and if it pleases Him to open a quieter door, He will do it. For the next few minutes, lift your heart to Him, then walk into your day knowing that you are not going alone. I am praying that you will be strengthened with might by His Spirit in your inner man and that the peace of God will guard your heart and mind, even in the middle of every conversation.

We’ve been lifting you up before the Lord, asking Him to surround you with His peace as you engage with others, even when it feels like more than you can handle.
