Dear Lord Jesus, Please help me land a talkshow spot somewhere on one of these Christian networks national TV. It would be really mean a lot. Please I’m just a poor person bachelor still stuck living with my parents. It means so much to me. I’m trying really hard like and you just don’t know the hardships I face. In Jesus Name Amen.

We hear your heart, dear brother, and we join you in lifting this desire before the Lord. It is clear that you long to use your voice for His glory, and that is a noble aspiration. The Word tells us in Proverbs 16:3, "Commit your deeds to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed." We pray that as you surrender this dream to Him, He will open the right doors at the right time.

We also recognize the weight of your current circumstances, living with your parents, facing financial hardship, and feeling the strain of singleness. These are not easy burdens to carry, and we want you to know that God sees your struggles. Psalm 34:18 reminds us, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." You are not forgotten, and your labor in the Lord is never in vain (1 Corinthians 15:58).

However, we must gently address a concern in your request. While your desire for a platform is understandable, we encourage you to seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Sometimes, the Lord refines us in seasons of obscurity before He elevates us. Are you actively serving in your local church? Are you using your gifts in smaller, faithful ways while waiting for this opportunity? The Lord often prepares His servants in hidden places before bringing them into the light.

We also want to speak to the matter of singleness. While it is not wrong to desire marriage, we must be cautious not to let longing turn into discontentment. 1 Corinthians 7:7-8 reminds us, "I wish that all men were like me. However each man has his own gift from God, one of this kind, and another of that kind. But I say to the unmarried and to widows, it is good for them if they remain even as I am." Marriage is a gift, but so is singleness, a season to serve the Lord without distraction. Have you considered how God might be using this time to shape you for His purposes?

Let us pray for you now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our brother, lifting his heart and his dreams to You. Lord, You know the desires of his heart, and we ask that You would align them with Your will. Open doors for him to use his voice for Your glory, whether on a national platform or in the quiet places where You have placed him now. Give him patience in the waiting and contentment in Your provision.

Father, we ask for Your comfort in his loneliness and Your strength in his financial struggles. Provide for his needs according to Your riches in glory, and remind him that he is deeply loved by You. Help him to see this season as one of preparation, where You are molding him into the man You want him to be.

Lord, if there is any sin or bitterness in his heart, any impatience, envy, or unbelief, we ask that You would reveal it to him and cleanse him by the blood of Jesus. Fill him with Your peace and joy, even in the midst of hardship. And if it is Your will for him to marry, we ask that You would bring a godly spouse into his life at the right time.

Above all, draw him closer to You. Let him find his identity and purpose in Christ alone. We ask these things in the mighty name of Jesus, Amen.

Brother, keep pressing into the Lord. Stay faithful in the small things, and trust that He is working even when you cannot see it. If you are not already connected to a local body of believers, we strongly encourage you to find a Bible-believing church where you can serve and grow. The Lord often uses the church to prepare His people for greater things.

And remember, your worth is not found in your circumstances or your achievements, but in Christ. You are a child of the King, and He has a plan for you. Keep seeking Him, and He will direct your steps (Proverbs 3:5-6).

We hear how much this means to you, the longing for a breakthrough, the weariness of feeling stuck, and the ache of working so hard while life stays on hold. It's heavy to carry your dreams alongside real daily hardship, and we don't want to minimize that. You've been pressing forward, and that takes real grit.

When we long for something this deeply, it can be tempting to pin all our hopes on one open door. That's human, and it's also worth gently asking ourselves: if God opens a different door instead, or if the timeline looks nothing like we expected, can we trust He still sees us? Sometimes He honors our efforts not by granting the exact outcome we envision, but by shaping our character and providing in ways we didn't think to ask for. We've seen people pour their gifts into smaller, faithful steps that ended up building something more solid than a single TV appearance ever could.

For what it's worth, many doors in media open through relationships. If you haven't already, consider reaching out to producers or hosts whose work you respect, not with a pitch, but with genuine appreciation and a willingness to learn. Volunteering behind the scenes, taking on unglamorous tasks, or building a local speaking ministry can grow both your skill and your network. Those steps may not feel like the spotlight, but they often lead somewhere real.

And we want to say this gently: you are not less-than because you're still living at home. Your season right now does not define your worth or your future. God does some of His deepest work in the waiting years, and He is not wasting this time in your life.

Let's pray:

Jesus, You see the hopes this man carries and the weight of his daily struggles. Draw near to him. Provide for his practical needs, and open doors that lead to genuine impact, whether or not they look exactly like the dream he holds. Guard him from discouragement, give him wisdom for the next faithful step, and help him trust Your timing. In Your name we pray, amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You speak of landing a talkshow spot as though it were the summit of your joy, yet consider whether the desire of your spirit has truly been set upon communion with God. The soul that thirsts for a platform before men may soon find itself parched for the living water that alone satisfies. Have you sought Him early with your spirit within you, or has the passion of your heart been for a name and a notice among the networks of this world? The poorest saint in the lowliest cottage, who trembles at God's Word and holds fast to Christ, possesses more true honor than the greatest man who stands before the cameras without the Savior. If you could have the whole world given to you, with all its talk shows and applause, I would not change places with you unless Christ were your chief treasure.

You mention your hardships and your poverty, and these things are very real to the heart that feels them. But remember that God will not kill His children with sweets any more than He will destroy them with bitters. This very season of obscurity, this dwelling with your parents, this aching want of money and recognition, may be the school in which the Lord is teaching you to find your all in Him. The living union begins with our Lord's life, and then that life flows into us. Do not imagine that a television appearance would bring you nearer to God. The Spirit dwells with the contrite and with those that tremble at His Word, not with those who seek great things for themselves. If you would have the Lord make His abode with you, the path lies downward, not upward. Humble yourself. Tremble at His Word. Let that be your ambition.

I hear your request and I do not doubt the earnestness of it, but I must ask you to test it against the cross. Picture to yourselves the Lord Jesus with the crown of thorns on His head, with His hands all dropping blood, with His side distilling a purple torrent. The first thing that will happen, God the Holy Spirit helping you, will be that you will begin to weep, not over a lost talkshow spot, but over your sins that pierced Him. And it may be that you shall come down from that chamber of yours with a light heart and gladsome countenance, singing of His sin-atoning blood, having found your peace with God. That is the only platform that will do your soul eternal good. When you have that, you have everything. A thousand Christian networks could not add one cubit to your true stature in Christ.

You call yourself a poor bachelor stuck living with your parents, but if you are vitally joined to Christ, it is well with your soul. If you are divided from Immanuel and have no living union to Christ, there is no eternal life for you, no matter how many viewers tune in to hear your voice. Do not fall into the snare of measuring God's favor by the standards of this present evil age. The saints of old sojourned in the land of promise as in a strange country, dwelling in tabernacles. They were not seeking the applause of dying men. They were looking for a city whose builder and maker is God. You are bought with a price; you are not your own. If Christ chooses to keep you hidden in the cleft of the rock while others stand on the hilltops, it is but right that He should do what He pleases with you. Let your will bow to His. If it pleases God, it pleases me, can you say that?

Beware of trying to be a Christian without living daily upon Christ. The branch cannot bear fruit apart from the vine. If your hopes are set on a thing so small as a television segment, I fear you have not yet tasted the deep waters of communion. The Christian finds the summit of his joy in fellowship with his God. Seek that first. Seek Him with your spirit, not with lip-service or head-service, but with heart-service. Then let your conversation in all companies, even in the parlor of your parents’ house, be so seasoned with salt that a man may know you to be a Christian. That is a true talkshow, a living epistle known and read of all men. Those who honor Him, He will honor in His own time and way. But oh, do not trade the priceless gems of sympathy with Christ and His suffering people for the tinsel of a fleeting spotlight. Lay hold on Christ, and you will lay hold on eternal life. He is the prize. He is the portion. He is enough.

You ask to be lifted up onto a public stage, yet the path Christ sets before you leads downward first, that you might be raised by Him in due time. Consider what you truly seek. Is it the work of the Kingdom you desire, or the comfort and recognition that come with a broadcast? There is a kind of provision we make for the flesh that kindles desire for glory, dressing wanton ambition in the garb of ministry. This is not to forbid you from seeking a platform for the Gospel, but to urge you to prune away every longing that looks to your own name rather than the health of souls. The present life is a sleep, and the honors in it are no different from dreams. He that grows rich in a dream, when the day breaks, finds his hands empty. How much better to spend your industry on the care of spiritual things, so that when you rise from this sleep you are not weighed down with the shame of having chased a shadow.

You say you are poor, a bachelor still living with your parents. Do not despise this low estate, for the Lord often brings forth His greatest encouragement from those who are without name or worldly success. You are not the first to feel hemmed in by circumstance. Yet in that very home, where you think you are merely stuck, lies your first and most urgent ministry. The Apostle commands that one learn first to show piety at home and to requite their parents, repaying in their need the care they first gave you. Before you stand before a nation, stand well before your own household. Is there a dishonor you have shown them, a neglect disguised as piety? The Lord rebuked those who, under the pretense of a gift to God, defrauded their parents and so insulted both God and family at once. Make sure your desire to serve Christ publicly does not become a similar evasion. If you cannot endure the quiet hardship of honoring your father and mother, how will you endure the bonds and slanders that come with being a teacher? The teacher who rushes into public view without having first learned to serve faithfully in obscurity only prepares himself for a fall.

Do not imagine that the hardships you now face are evil in themselves. To the one who receives the Word, even bonds suffered for a useful purpose become worthy of admiration. The Lord Himself demands a love so vehement that it casts aside every softer attachment. But this fire is not kindled by chasing a talk show slot. It is kindled in the hidden furnace of prayer, obedience, and charity where no one sees but God. When the time is right, He will bring your labor to light, not to glorify you, but to amend others and to proclaim His own praise. If you go forward seeking only to be seen, you have your reward already and it will vanish like a vapor. But if you wait on Him, doing the immediate duty at hand, He may yet open a door that no man can shut.
