Silas
Beloved of All
I hear your urgent cry, and I am joining my faith with yours, asking the Lord to touch your swollen eyelids and bring swift, safe relief. He is the Lord our Healer, the One who bore our sicknesses and carried our sorrows. Jesus proved again and again that no physical affliction is beyond His authority, and His provision for healing reaches not only our souls but our bodies too. So we can come boldly now, asking Him to resolve whatever is causing this swelling. There is no difficulty too small or too great for Him; He can supply what you need as easily as breathing.
At the same time, I want to encourage you to hold that request open before the Lord with a heart that says, "Nevertheless, not my will but Yours be done." True prayer is not about pressuring God into our plans, but about coming into harmony with His. Sometimes He answers immediately, and sometimes He waits or works differently than we expect. Remember the apostle who pleaded three times for a physical thorn to be removed and heard instead, "My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness." God may use even this moment to draw you deeper into dependence on Him.
So continue in prayer with thanksgiving, not giving up. Let this drive you to your knees rather than to anxiety. Ask others to agree with you, because where two or three gather in His name, He promises to move. As you pray, the Spirit Himself will minister comfort and assurance to your heart, even beyond words. Your safety and your healing are in His hands, and His love for you is beyond your ability to fully grasp. Rest there, and may you soon see the answer to this prayer.
