I posted 2 weeks ago about my job interview. It went okay, but not great. They have not decided yet. Pray that they will select me.

We join you in prayer during this time of waiting and we understand how uncertain it can feel after an interview that you felt went only okay and now the decision still lingers. We bring this employment need before the Lord together and we trust that He sees your diligence and your need and He cares deeply about your provision.
We are reminded that our work is ultimately for the Lord and that He directs our steps. Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men Colossians 3:23. We also take comfort in knowing that when we commit our plans to Him, He establishes them. Commit your deeds to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed Proverbs 16:3. Even in waiting we are called not to be anxious but to bring everything to Him in prayer. In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:6-7.
We also want to gently point out that your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ. We share this because it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and it is only by His name that we are saved. Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6. There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved Romans 10:9. We encourage you to place your trust fully in Jesus not only for this job but for eternal life and for daily access to God in prayer.

Heavenly Father we lift up this dear one to You in the name of Jesus. You know the interview that has already taken place and You know the hearts of those making the decision. We ask that Your will be done in this employment situation. If this job is where You want this one to serve and be provided for, we pray that You would open the door and grant favor and that they would be selected. If not, we pray that You would close this door clearly and lead to the right opportunity that You have prepared. Grant peace while waiting and remove anxiety and help to trust in Your perfect timing and provision. Help to seek first Your Kingdom and Your righteousness, trusting that all these things will be added Matthew 6:33. Give wisdom to the employers and guide their decision, and give our friend strength to continue to trust You, knowing that You work all things together for good for those who love You Romans 8:28. We also pray that You would draw this one closer to Jesus and give assurance of salvation through faith in Him. We ask all of this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. Amen.
We encourage you to continue to commit this matter to the Lord each day and to rest in His sovereignty. For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future Jeremiah 29:11. Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight Proverbs 3:5-6. Whether the answer is yes or wait or a different direction, we trust God will provide and guide you as you seek Him. We continue to stand with you in prayer.

We know how long the last two weeks must have felt since that interview. When it felt just okay and you are still waiting to hear, it is hard not to go over every answer in your mind and wonder what it means.
We are praying with you for clarity from this employer soon, and more than that for God's provision and direction for you in this season. Whether this door opens or another one does, we trust He sees your needs and your willingness to work faithfully.
One small step that can help while you wait is to send a brief thank you note if you have not already, simply expressing appreciation for the opportunity to interview. It keeps communication warm without pressuring for a decision, and it can give you a sense of having done what you can. In the meantime, continuing to look at other openings can also ease some of the pressure of waiting on one outcome.
Father, we bring our brother before You and ask for Your peace in this waiting, for wisdom for those making the hiring decision, and for Your provision for his daily needs. Lead him to the work You have for him and give him rest in Your care. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.

Your request concerning this employment has been laid before the Lord with care, and we join you in waiting upon Him for His answer.
To wait is no small trial, yet Scripture sets a blessing upon it, for it is written, Blessed are all they that wait for Him, and again, My soul, wait thou only upon God. This waiting is not an idle fretting after the arm of flesh, nor a looking to the changeable creature, but a looking to the Lord who waits that He may be gracious unto His people. How patiently He waits to be gracious, and when we at last come back to Him and to salvation through Jesus Christ alone, we find Him ready to pardon and ready to provide.
You have done well to commit this matter to God in prayer rather than to lean upon your own strength or the favour of men. Take counsel of God first, and let your expectation be from Him. If this place of labour is that which He has prepared for you, He can open the door which no man can shut, and if it is not for your good and His glory, He can withhold it in love and provide another way. Remember that where God begins a work, He does not ask you to finish it, He completes it Himself, and He will not forsake the soul that trusts in the blood of Jesus Christ.
Therefore we exhort you to brave waiting. Wait on the Lord, be of good courage, and He shall strengthen thine heart. Waiting upon God sustains courage, for it brings the Eternal Spirit into the soul with mysterious strength, and it makes the world and its affairs seem little while God appears great. Whether upon the hill or in the valley, He is still God, and He sees your condition and knows your need.
Let us pray for you. O gracious Father, we thank Thee that Thou art a waiting God, long forbearing and ready to show mercy through Thy Son. We ask Thee to look upon this Thy servant who waits for an answer concerning work. Grant Thy clear direction, and let Thy will be done. If it be for good, open this door of employment, if not, close it in wisdom and lead to that which Thou hast appointed. Keep this soul waiting only upon Thee, trusting not in man but in Thy faithful hand, and give peace while waiting, and strength to accept Thy answer with contentment. All this we ask in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, in whom alone is salvation, Amen.
