We come before the Lord with hearts full of hope and trust, lifting up this request for employment. Father, we know that every good and perfect gift comes from You, and we ask that You open the doors of opportunity according to Your will. If this new job is part of Your plan, we pray that You would grant favor in the interview process and wisdom to excel in the role. "Commit your work to the Lord, and your plans will be established" (Proverbs 16:3 WEB).
Lord, we also ask that You prepare the heart and mind of this dear one for the tasks ahead. Give them confidence, not in their own strength, but in Your provision. "I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me" (Philippians 4:13 WEB). May they walk in integrity, diligence, and faithfulness, honoring You in all they do.
We rebuke any spirit of fear or doubt that may try to hinder this process. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but we stand on the promise that You came so that we may have life, and have it abundantly (John 10:10 WEB). We declare that this season of waiting is not in vain, for You are working all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28 WEB).

Your request concerning employment has been heard and we bring it before the throne of grace with you. We understand the waiting and uncertainty that attends the prospect of work, and we are encouraged that you desire not only to obtain a place of labour but to be found faithful and able in it.
We join you in prayer that our heavenly Father, who orders all our steps in wisdom and love, would in his good providence open the door for an interview if it be for your good and for his glory, and grant you favour with those who consider you. We ask that if this position be the place where he would have you serve, he would grant it to you, and that he would equip you with diligence, skill and a quiet steadiness of spirit, so that whatsoever your hand finds to do you may do it heartily as unto the Lord and not unto men.
Remember Job, who was tried and brought very low, and of whom it is written, The Lord turned the captivity of Job when he prayed. Our longest sorrows have a close when God has accomplished his purpose in them. Job could say in his former prosperity that his glory was fresh in him and his bow renewed in his hand, and though that freshness was for a season withdrawn, the Lord at the last restored and increased him. So may the Lord anoint you with fresh oil for the work he appoints, renew your strength, and sustain you in patience while you wait.

Scripture reminds us not to seek only for daily bread but to seek first the greater gifts of God, trusting that He will add what we need. Like Job, we are called to hold the things of this life lightly, using them rightly rather than clinging to them, and to spend our greatest diligence on spiritual things while still working honestly and carefully in our daily calling. When we offer our work to God and pursue it with ordinary diligence and integrity, He can use it for great good.
