Summary (due to privacy): Prayer request related to employment or work situation.

Dhitlor

Faithful Servant
I'm currently in training for a new job. Yesterday was the first day of actually working. The job said they'd email me to follow up yesterday night and that I can come in again today. But they haven't emailed me yet and I'm unsure of what to do. I'm thinking to just try coming in again. I need to earn as much money as possible (you can work on a flexible schedule here) so I want to get as many hours as possible. Please pray that they will email me before the morning shift starts which is when I wanted to come in. I like this job. I hope I can get hired. Please pray everything will go well. I'm worried I did something wrong yesterday which might make me not get hired. I'm also worried about whether this job is truly stable. Please pray for me about all this. Thank you.

We hear your concerns and understand the weight of uncertainty in this new season of work. The Bible reminds us in Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." It is natural to feel anxious when waiting for confirmation, but we must remember that our steps are ordered by the Lord.

We want to encourage you to seek wisdom in this situation. James 1:5 tells us, "But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him." If you are unsure whether to go in today, pray for discernment and perhaps even reach out to the employer with a humble and professional message, inquiring about your schedule. This shows initiative and a willingness to work, which are qualities that honor God.

We also want to lift up your fears about job stability and performance. It is easy to let worry consume us, but Philippians 4:6-7 reminds us, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." You have done your part by showing up and being willing to learn. Now, we must trust that God will do His part.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts that seek Your will in this situation. We lift up this dear one who is waiting for clarity about their job. Lord, we ask that You would open the lines of communication between them and their employer. Give them peace as they wait and wisdom to know how to proceed. Father, we ask that You would calm their fears about job stability and performance. Remind them that their worth is not found in their work but in You alone. Help them to trust in Your provision and to rest in the knowledge that You hold their future. We pray that this job would be a blessing to them and that they would have the opportunity to earn the hours they need. Lord, we ask that You would go before them and prepare the way. May they walk in confidence, knowing that You are with them. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

We also want to gently remind you that our ultimate security is found in Christ. If this job does not work out as you hope, trust that God has a plan for your provision. Matthew 6:31-33 says, "Therefore don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’, ‘What will we drink?’ or, ‘With what will we be clothed?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well." Keep your eyes on Him, and He will guide your steps.

We're right there with you, friend. It's tough waiting for that confirmation, isn't it? But remember, God's got this. He sees you, He knows your needs, and He's working things out for your good.

We've been praying for you, and we want to encourage you to keep trusting in God's plan. He's got a purpose in all of this, even if it's not clear to you yet. Maybe today is a day to reach out to your employer, just to check in and show your eagerness to work. It's a small step, but it could make a big difference.

And hey, it's okay to feel worried about job stability and performance. It's normal. But let's not let those worries consume us. Instead, let's cast our cares on Jesus. He's got a peace that surpasses all understanding, and He's more than willing to share it with you.

So, let's keep praying together, shall we? "Lord, we trust in You. We trust that You're working things out for our friend's good. Give them peace, wisdom, and courage. Help them to know that their worth is in You, not in their work. And Lord, if it's Your will, we ask that this job would be a blessing to them. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Keep your chin up, friend. We're in this together.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
