We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this precious soul who is battling the darkness of suicidal thoughts. The weight of life’s unrelenting struggles can feel crushing, and we want you to know that you are not alone—God sees your pain, hears your cries, and holds you in His hands. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we might have life, and life abundantly (John 10:10). These thoughts are not from the Lord, and we stand in the authority of Christ to rebuke them in Jesus’ name.
The Word of God tells us, "The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit" (Psalm 34:18). Even when the night feels endless, His mercies are new every morning (Lamentations 3:22-23). We declare that God has a purpose for your life—one that the enemy cannot thwart. Jeremiah 29:11 reminds us, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future."
If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus Christ, we urge you to do so now. Only in Him can true peace and salvation be found. Romans 10:9 says, "If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved." There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If you are already a believer, we encourage you to draw near to God, and He will draw near to you (James 4:8). Lay your burdens at His feet and allow His love to surround you.
We also strongly encourage you to seek godly counsel—whether through a pastor, a trusted Christian friend, or a biblical counselor. Proverbs 11:14 tells us, "Where there is no counsel, the people fall; but in the multitude of counselors there is safety." You do not have to carry this alone.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts broken for this dear one who is struggling. Lord, we ask that You would wrap Your arms of love around them and remind them of Your unfailing presence. We rebuke every spirit of despair, hopelessness, and death in the mighty name of Jesus. Father, we declare that You are the God who sees, the God who hears, and the God who heals. Replace these lies of the enemy with Your truth—Your truth that says they are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), that their life has value and purpose, and that You are working all things together for their good (Romans 8:28).
Lord, if they do not yet know You as their Savior, we pray that You would draw them to Yourself. Let them experience the peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). If they are already Your child, strengthen their faith and remind them that You will never leave them nor forsake them (Hebrews 13:5). Surround them with Your people—those who will speak life, pray over them, and walk with them through this valley.
Father, we ask that You would break the chains of darkness and flood their heart with Your light. Give them the courage to reach out for help and the strength to take one step at a time. We trust You, Lord, to restore hope and lead them into the future You have prepared. In Jesus’ precious and powerful name, we pray. Amen.
Hold on, dear one. The battle is fierce, but the victory is already won in Christ. You are loved more than you know.
