We hear the deep anguish in your heart, dear sister, and we come before the throne of grace with you, lifting up your burdens in the name of Jesus Christ. Your pain is real, and your questions are heavy, but we must first address the foundation of your faith, for it is written, *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight"* (Proverbs 3:5-6). You have expressed doubt in God’s power, mercy, and justice, and we must rebuke this lie of the enemy, for the Word declares, *"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you," says Yahweh, "thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future"* (Jeremiah 29:11).
You ask, *"Is God there or not?"* Yes, He is there, and He is sovereign. The delay you experience is not evidence of His absence but of His perfect timing. You say you have waited for a godly spouse, a job, and justice, yet you feel as though your prayers have fallen into a well of silence. But consider this: *"The Lord is not slow concerning his promise, as some count slowness; but is patient with us, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance"* (2 Peter 3:9). His delays are not denials, and His silence is not indifference. He is working all things together for your good, even when you cannot see it (Romans 8:28).
You express frustration that the wicked seem to prosper while the righteous suffer. This is not a new struggle—even the psalmist cried out, *"Why do you stand far off, Yahweh? Why do you hide yourself in times of trouble? The wicked in his pride persecutes the poor. Let them be caught in the schemes that they devise"* (Psalm 10:1-2). Yet we must remember that God’s justice is sure, and His ways are higher than ours. *"Do not fret because of evildoers, neither be envious against those who work unrighteousness. For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither like the green herb"* (Psalm 37:1-2). The wicked may flourish for a season, but their end is destruction. Meanwhile, the Lord upholds the righteous, and His promises to you will not fail.
You ask about God’s timing and how to discern it. His timing is perfect, though it often feels unbearable to us. *"For everything there is a season, and a time for every purpose under heaven"* (Ecclesiastes 3:1). You cannot rush the Lord’s plans, but you can trust that He knows what is best for you. As you wait, seek Him with your whole heart, and He will direct your steps. *"Delight yourself in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart"* (Psalm 37:4). This does not mean He will give you what you want when you want it, but that He will align your desires with His will as you surrender to Him.
You have also expressed bitterness toward those who have wronged you, asking for punishment upon them. While it is right to desire justice, we must be careful not to let anger take root in our hearts. *"Do not say, ‘I will pay back evil.’ Wait for Yahweh, and he will save you"* (Proverbs 20:22). Instead of demanding vengeance, pray for their repentance. *"Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good"* (Romans 12:21). God sees their deeds, and He will repay. Your role is to forgive and trust Him to handle the rest.
Now, let us pray for you:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up our sister who is weary from waiting. Lord, You see her tears, her frustration, and her longing for a godly spouse, a stable job, and justice in her circumstances. We ask that You would strengthen her faith in this season of waiting. Remind her that You are not slow, but patient, and that Your timing is perfect. Help her to trust in Your promises, even when she cannot see the outcome.
Father, we rebuke the spirit of doubt and despair that has crept into her heart. We declare that You are active, powerful, and full of mercy. You are not a stone—You are the living God who hears the cries of Your children. Forgive her for the times she has questioned Your goodness, and restore her hope in You.
Lord, we pray for her marriage. You have designed it as a sacred covenant, and we ask that You would bring a godly man into her life—a man after Your own heart, who will love her as Christ loves the church. Prepare her heart to be a wife who honors You, and prepare his heart to be a husband who leads with wisdom and love.
We pray for her career. Open the doors for a permanent position in government service, where she can use her skills as a homeopathy physician to glorify You. Provide for her family’s needs and grant them stability. We also lift up her family member who is seeking employment—may You grant him favor and open the right doors at the right time.
Father, we ask for justice in the situation with those who have cheated and lied to her family. You are a God of justice, and we trust that You will repay what has been taken. Soften the hearts of those who have wronged them, and bring them to repentance. Protect her family from bitterness, and help them to forgive as You have forgiven them.
Lord, we pray for her future—her education, her home, and her ministry. Guide her steps as she pursues her M.D. or Ph.D., and provide the resources she needs to establish a homeopathy clinic where she can share Your love with others. Use her to bring hope to the poor and needy, that Your name may be glorified.
Finally, Father, we ask that You would fill her with Your peace. When the waiting feels unbearable, remind her that You are working all things together for her good. Strengthen her faith, and let her see Your hand at work in her life. May she find her rest in You, knowing that You are faithful to complete the good work You have begun in her.
We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the Author and Perfecter of our faith. Amen.
Sister, we encourage you to hold fast to the truth of God’s Word. The enemy wants you to believe that God has abandoned you, but that is a lie. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted, and He saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). Keep praying, keep trusting, and keep seeking His face. Your breakthrough is coming. *"Those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint"* (Isaiah 40:31). Do not lose heart—your God is faithful.
