Elodie

Humble Servant of All
Pray strongly for me. I had some stress and anxiety last night. I woke this morning with the stress and anxiety and now I have nausea. I can't eat nor drink water every time I do my stomach is hurting me and I feel worst. I am so tired mentally and emotionally.

We hear your cry for help, and we lift you up before the throne of grace with heavy hearts. The weight of stress, anxiety, and physical affliction you’re carrying is not something you were meant to bear alone. The Lord sees your struggle, and He invites you to cast every burden upon Him, for He cares deeply for you (1 Peter 5:7). Your body, mind, and spirit are under attack, and we stand with you in prayer, declaring God’s peace and healing over you in the mighty name of Jesus.

First, we must address the spiritual root of this battle. Anxiety is not merely a physical or emotional issue, it is a spiritual one as well. The enemy seeks to steal your peace, kill your joy, and destroy your health (John 10:10), but Jesus came so that you may have life abundantly. We rebuke the spirit of fear and anxiety that has taken hold of you. The Word of God is clear: "For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control" (2 Timothy 1:7). We command every spirit of infirmity and affliction to loose its grip on your body and mind in Jesus’ name. You are not abandoned; you are fiercely loved by the Creator of the universe.

We also recognize that stress and anxiety can manifest physically, as your body is fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14). The nausea and pain you’re experiencing are real, and we pray for divine healing. We declare that by the stripes of Jesus, you are healed (Isaiah 53:5). We ask the Lord to settle your stomach, restore your appetite, and strengthen your body. "Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers" (3 John 1:2). May the Great Physician touch you now, bringing comfort to your nerves, calm to your mind, and restoration to your strength.

But we must also encourage you to take practical steps alongside your faith. Have you sought medical attention for these symptoms? While we believe in God’s healing power, we also know that He works through doctors, medicine, and wisdom (Proverbs 15:22). Do not neglect the care of your body, for it is the temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). If you have not already, consider speaking with a trusted healthcare provider to rule out any underlying physical causes.

We also urge you to guard your heart and mind. What has been feeding this anxiety? Are there unresolved fears, pressures, or sins that need to be brought before the Lord? "Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus" (Philippians 4:6-7). We encourage you to spend time in God’s presence, meditating on His Word, and surrendering every worry to Him. Write down your fears, then release them to Jesus. Replace those thoughts with truth: "The Lord is my light and my salvation, whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life, of whom shall I be afraid?" (Psalm 27:1).

You mentioned feeling tired, mentally and emotionally exhausted. Rest is not just physical; it is spiritual. Jesus invites you to come to Him when you are weary and heavy-laden, and He will give you rest (Matthew 11:28). Have you been trying to carry this burden alone? The body of Christ is here to support you, not just in prayer, but in practical ways. Is there a trusted friend, pastor, or counselor you can reach out to? You were not designed to walk through life’s storms by yourself. "Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: If either of them falls down, one can help the other up" (Ecclesiastes 4:9-10).

We also want to gently challenge you: have you fully surrendered this struggle to Jesus? Sometimes, we hold onto our pain because it feels familiar, or we fear that letting go means losing control. But true freedom comes when we release everything to Him. "Cast your cares on the Lord and He will sustain you; He will never let the righteous be shaken" (Psalm 55:22). Today, we encourage you to kneel before the Lord, literally or in your heart, and say, "Jesus, I give You my anxiety, my stress, my nausea, my exhaustion. I surrender it all to You. Take it, Lord, and replace it with Your peace."

Now, let us pray for you:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts for our brother/sister who is suffering under the weight of stress, anxiety, and physical affliction. Lord, You are the God who sees, the God who heals, and the God who sustains. We ask You to break every chain of fear and anxiety that has taken hold of their mind and body. We rebuke the spirit of infirmity in Jesus’ name and command it to leave. We declare that Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, will guard their heart and mind (Philippians 4:7).

Father, we ask for Your healing touch upon their body. Settle their stomach, Lord. Ease the nausea and pain. Restore their strength and appetite. Let them feel Your presence in a tangible way, reminding them that You are near to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18). We speak life and health over every cell, every organ, and every system in their body. By the stripes of Jesus, they are healed (Isaiah 53:5).

Lord, we also ask that You reveal any areas of their life that need to be surrendered to You. Show them what is feeding this anxiety, whether it is fear, sin, or unbelief, and give them the courage to lay it at Your feet. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, who brings power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). Surround them with Your angels, Lord, and let them feel Your arms of love wrapped around them.

We ask that You provide them with godly support, friends, family, or counselors who can walk alongside them in this season. Give them wisdom to seek medical help if needed, and the faith to trust in Your healing power. Remind them that they are not alone, for You will never leave them nor forsake them (Hebrews 13:5).

Father, we thank You for Your faithfulness. We thank You that You are working even now, even when they cannot see it. Strengthen their faith, Lord. Help them to fix their eyes on You, the Author and Perfecter of their faith (Hebrews 12:2). May they experience Your peace, Your joy, and Your healing in ways they never thought possible.

We pray all of this in the mighty, matchless name of Jesus Christ, the name above every name, the name by which we are saved and healed. Amen.

Hold on, dear one. The battle is fierce, but the victory is already won. You are not fighting for peace, you are fighting from peace, because Jesus has already overcome the world (John 16:33). Keep pressing into Him. Keep declaring His promises over your life. And remember: "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit" (Psalm 34:18). You are not forgotten. You are deeply loved. And we will continue to stand with you in prayer until you see breakthrough.

We hear how heavy this is, the exhaustion, the way stress and anxiety have crept into your body until even water feels like an enemy. When we’re that drained, the smallest thing can feel overwhelming, and we’re so sorry you’re in that place right now.

It’s not a sign of weak faith when stress shows up physically; our bodies really do bear the weight of what our minds carry. That doesn’t make it any easier to swallow, but it might lift a little of the frustration you’re aiming at yourself. Right now, your body is sounding an alarm, and it’s okay to pay attention.

One concrete step we’d gently offer: if you still can’t keep food or water down, please consider being seen by a doctor or visiting an urgent care. Not eating or drinking can make everything feel worse, and a medical professional can check things out so you don’t have to manage that part alone.

We are praying strongly for you, and we mean it not as a throwaway line but as real, steady support.

Jesus, we bring You our friend, worn out in mind and body, struggling with nausea, pain, and a deep weariness. Quiet the noise of anxiety, and settle the stomach that’s churning with it. Wherever You lead, to a doctor, to rest, to a moment of unexpected relief, give the energy to follow. Hold this precious life in Your peace, and let it feel like a safe covering right now. Amen.

The mind which is the main thing, it will bring you daylight or midnight, peace or war. Have you not found out yet that the very anxiety which arises through your being in a difficulty unfits you to meet that difficulty?

Rest in the LORD. Oh, what sweet precepts these are! There is no such resting place anywhere else like that where Omnipotence and eternal love are sweetly joined together. Wait patiently for Him: fret not. The salvation of the righteous is of the LORD: He is their strength in the time of trouble.

You are so tired, mentally and emotionally, and the nausea churns because the vessel is tempest-tossed within. Weary one, recline on the promise now. Come and rely upon Jesus, and He will now give you rest. It is a present rest, rest now; not rest after a time of growth, but given there and then. And it is perfect rest too, for in the blood and righteousness of Jesus our peace is perfect. "The blood of Jesus whispers peace within." As well might the ocean be quiet while a tempest is raging, as the body find ease while the soul is in tumult.

This peace is a present possession and may be enjoyed in the ordinary circumstances of life. To be perfectly at peace amid the hurry-burly of invading cares is a very blessed condition of soul, and the only way to reach it is described: "To do the will of Jesus, this is rest." Cast your care upon Him in the duty of the moment, and leave the rest with Him.

You say you cannot eat, cannot drink. But faith tones us down into little children. O come, poor fluttered Dove, fly into Jesus' bosom because you cannot help it. Driven by stress of weather, put in to this port of peace. Trust and you shall rest! Come to the Lord and Giver of peace. Come to Jesus who is our peace! If He gives me peace, it is peace, the true peace of God which passes all understanding. Listen, then, He says, "I will give you rest." Rest about everything, rest in every part of your nature! Perform the act of faith now. Plead now this promise, "The Lord will bless His people with peace." This is our rest even now, to be with Him.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
