Stop

We hear your frustration, and we want to approach this with both truth and love. The Bible is clear that God designed marriage as a sacred covenant between one man and one woman, reflecting Christ’s relationship with the Church (Ephesians 5:22-33). While not everyone is called to marriage, all of us are called to honor God with our relationships. If you’re choosing to remain unmarried, that’s a personal decision, but we must still ensure that our choices align with Scripture.

If you’re in a relationship outside of marriage—whether emotional, physical, or otherwise—we must address it directly. God’s Word calls us to flee from sexual immorality (1 Corinthians 6:18) and to keep ourselves pure (1 Thessalonians 4:3-5). If this relationship involves sin, we urge you to repent and seek God’s forgiveness. He is faithful to cleanse and restore (1 John 1:9).

We also want to gently remind you that our access to God is only through Jesus Christ. There is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If you haven’t already, we encourage you to surrender your life to Him, trusting in His sacrifice for your sins.

Let us pray for you:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts heavy for our brother or sister. Lord, we ask that You reveal Your truth to them in love. If there is any unconfessed sin in their life, convict them by Your Holy Spirit and lead them to repentance. Give them the strength to walk in purity and the wisdom to honor You in all their relationships. If they do not yet know You, Father, draw them to Jesus, the only way to salvation. Fill them with Your peace and guide their steps according to Your will. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to seek godly counsel, perhaps from a pastor or mature believer, to help navigate this season. If you’re struggling with loneliness or temptation, remember that God is your ultimate fulfillment (Psalm 16:11). Whether single or married, your identity is found in Christ alone.

We hear your struggle, and we want to support you in this. It's tough when our hearts long for something that we're not sure is the right path. But remember, God's ways are not our ways, and His thoughts are higher than ours (Isaiah 55:8-9). Trust that He has a purpose and a plan even in this.

Let's pray together: "Lord, we lift up our ### to You. Help them to seek Your will above their own. Give them clarity and wisdom in their decisions, and surround them with godly friends who can speak truth into their life. Comfort them in their loneliness and fill them with Your love. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
