Good and Faithful Servant
Please pray for an end to spiritual warfare that has targeted me since I was young. Please also pray for an end to vivid, disturbing dreams that I constantly have - which sometimes are related to the warfare and sometimes are not. Please also pray for me because I'm so overwhelmed and every five seconds, there's something else going on in my life between spiritual warfare attacking me and someone always wanting something from me - I just want to be left alone. Please pray for me to have a better schedule and to stop ending my nights so late. Please pray that God would lead me to new jobs - and possibly the ability to have at least two jobs, one primary and an extra one. I am considering staying now at the jobs I currently have. Please pray for wisdom for me about this and that all issues I have with these jobs would get better for me and my coworkers. Please pray for me to be set free from maladaptive daydreaming and inappropriate sexual thoughts which I keep giving in to especially while falling asleep - and which the enemy seems to be directly increasing temptation toward. The sexual thoughts are really becoming a serious problem in my life and I'm so ashamed. God set me free from sexual sin before. I'm so sad to be falling into it again. 💔 I think because I'm struggling with depression right now, I'm using those thoughts as an outlet. Please pray. Pray that the African American community would be set free from false teachings. Pray for my entire family as we all seem to have the flu - pray that no one caring for me in my sickness would be made sicker while trying to care for me. My father who was the first one to get sick but was getting better now seems to be coughing a lot again. Please pray for three of my cats - two who were scratching themselves too hard and accidentally caused wounds and the other who was making a strange noise with his mouth the other night but seems fine now. Pray that all my cats would be and stay healthy. I have no money for a vet and don't even know of a good one in our area. We love our pets so much. Please pray that I would stay disciplined in eating according to a diet I have to eat on due to a medical condition. Please also pray for a close friend who has fibromyalgia, alpha thalassemia, blood pressure problems, prostate concerns and asthma. Pray that I would be a suitable encouragement and helpmeet to my boyfriend as we continue in courtship. Thank you.

We hear your cry for help, and we stand with you in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, who has already overcome every power of darkness. The spiritual warfare you describe is real, but it is not beyond the reach of our Lord, who has disarmed principalities and powers and made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in the cross (Colossians 2:15). We rebuke every assignment of the enemy against your mind, your dreams, and your life. The vivid and disturbing dreams you experience are not from God, for He gives His beloved sleep (Psalm 127:2) and speaks to us in peace, not in torment. We command every unclean spirit behind these manifestations to flee in Jesus’ name, for the Lord has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7).

Your exhaustion is understandable, and we lift it before the Father, who invites you to cast all your anxieties on Him because He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). The constant demands on your time and energy are not your burden to carry alone. We pray that God would grant you wisdom to establish boundaries, to say no when necessary, and to create a schedule that honors Him and your well-being. The Lord is your Shepherd; He makes you lie down in green pastures and leads you beside still waters (Psalm 23:1-2). We ask Him to restore your soul and guide you into the rest you so desperately need.

The struggle with sexual temptation is not one you face alone, and we want you to know that there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus (Romans 8:1). However, we must address this sin directly, for it is written, “Flee sexual immorality! ‘Every sin that a man does is outside the body,’ but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body” (1 Corinthians 6:18). The enemy seeks to exploit your weakness, but God’s grace is sufficient for you, and His power is made perfect in your weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9). We pray that the Lord would break the chains of this sin in your life, that you would take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ (2 Corinthians 10:5), and that you would fill your mind with whatever is true, noble, right, pure, lovely, and admirable (Philippians 4:8). Confess this sin to the Lord, for He is faithful and just to forgive you and cleanse you from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). We also encourage you to seek accountability with a trusted brother in Christ, for iron sharpens iron (Proverbs 27:17), and you need support in this battle.

Regarding your courtship, we pray that it would be rooted in Christ and pursued with the intention of honoring God. Marriage is a sacred covenant between one man and one woman, designed to reflect Christ’s relationship with the Church (Ephesians 5:22-33). We pray that you and your boyfriend would seek the Lord together, that your relationship would be built on prayer, mutual respect, and a shared commitment to godliness. May you both be a source of encouragement and strength to one another, as Scripture commands husbands and wives to love and submit to one another in reverence for Christ (Ephesians 5:21).

We lift up your family’s health, asking the Lord to bring complete healing and restoration. The flu has taken a toll, but we serve a God who heals all our diseases (Psalm 103:3). We pray that your father’s cough would subside and that no one caring for you would be made sicker in the process. For your beloved cats, we ask the Lord to bring healing to their wounds and to protect them from further harm. The Lord cares even for the sparrows, and we know He cares for the animals He has entrusted to your care (Matthew 10:29).

Your financial concerns weigh heavily on you, and we ask the Lord to provide for your needs according to His riches in glory (Philippians 4:19). We pray for wisdom as you consider your job situation, that the Lord would open doors of opportunity and close those that are not His will. Whether you stay in your current positions or seek new ones, may He grant you favor with your employers and coworkers, and may your work be a testimony to His goodness.

For your friend battling multiple health issues, we pray for divine healing and strength. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). May He grant your friend relief from pain and comfort in His presence. We also pray that you would be a vessel of encouragement to him, reflecting the love and hope of Christ.

Finally, we pray for the African American community, that the Lord would expose and dismantle every false teaching that seeks to lead people astray. May the truth of God’s Word prevail, and may hearts be turned toward the gospel of Jesus Christ, who is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6). We rebuke every spirit of deception and pray for a revival of true faith and righteousness.

Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our brother, lifting up every area of his life to You. We ask that You would break every chain of spiritual warfare, bring healing to his body and mind, and fill him with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Deliver him from every temptation and strengthen him to walk in purity and holiness. Provide for his needs, Lord, and grant him wisdom in every decision. Surround him with godly community and use him as a light in this dark world. We ask all these things in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. Amen.

There’s something about reaching the point where you just want to be left alone that we deeply understand. When the hits keep coming, warfare, disturbing dreams, depression, job stress, sickness all around, the sheer relentlessness of it wears you down until even your thoughts feel like they’re betraying you. We’re sorry you’re carrying all this at once.

We noticed you connected the dots yourself: depression is draining you, and those old thought-patterns and daydreams you mentioned have crept back in not because you’re weak, but because your mind and body are desperate for a release valve. That doesn’t make the struggle less serious, but it does mean the shame you feel is piling weight on top of exhaustion. Shame thrives in isolation, but you’re here naming the problem honestly, and that matters.

Given everything clamoring for your attention, we’d encourage one small, grounded step tonight: choose one realistic boundary for your schedule, maybe a set time when screens go off and you stop responding to people, so you’re not ending every night late and depleted. Predictable rest won’t fix everything, but right now your body and mind desperately need a rhythm that isn’t running on fumes. It’s harder to fight spiritual battles when you’re physically wrecked.

A prayer for you:
Lord Jesus, we lift up our friend who is exhausted in body, mind, and spirit. Silence the enemy’s assault, quiet the disturbing dreams, break the cycle of temptation that feels so powerful in the lonely hours, and bring genuine peace where there has been only chaos. Guard them as they sleep. Give wisdom about which jobs to stay in or leave, and help them carve out sane rhythms so they are not pulled apart. Heal their family of this flu, restore their father, and keep their cats healthy since they have no vet to turn to. Help them stay on the diet their body needs, and be the strength that carries them through this depression. We ask you to lift the spiritual heaviness and set them free again, fully free. In your name, amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The warfare you describe has hounded you from youth, yet consider that our deliverance is solely by the power of God, it is not of him that wills, nor of him that runs, but of God that shows mercy. The enemy would have you believe you are forsaken, for if we believe this accusation against God, it is not long before we begin to sin. But mark this: when a soul, sensible of sin, sees that Christ by His blood made atonement and comes and throws himself upon that sacrifice of the Cross, then sin is pardoned.

Those vivid dreams and the surge of temptation as you fall asleep, just where the sin has been Satan marks, and then he sends a suggestion. Yet a man may be tempted and hate the temptation, and then there is no sin in it to him. The carnal mind, dead in sin, knows not the fog of temptation which lurks around him, but your cry proves you are alive unto God. Go, and sin no more. Is not this a most comforting message? When you feel that sin, sin, SIN has outlawed you from your God, look to Jesus, if you will simply trust Him, it will all be done for you.

You are overwhelmed, every five seconds a fresh demand. Consider that many men are kept from sin by being poor; their poverty is a clog to them. Perhaps this very press of cares is God’s clog to keep you from greater wandering. The father chastens the child with what will cure him of the wrong-doing by making him feel that his sin brings sorrow. You have not been given over unto death. For unbroken prosperity may be a sign of being given over unto death, but your pangs of conscience witness against that.

You ask for a better schedule, for new work, for wisdom about your employments. Pray, and pray constantly, “Lead us not into temptation.” The man who prays this and then goes into it willfully with his eyes open is a hypocrite without a mask. Trust God to order your steps, and do not merely hurry away from the scene of conflict but be more earnest after the heavenly silver and gold.

You grieve over maladaptive daydreaming and sexual thoughts that have returned. You say God set you free before and you are sad to fall again. Whenever we have fallen into any sin, conscience pricks us and we fall upon our knees and acknowledge our fault. This is a select opportunity for the enemy to shoot his poisoned arrow. But know the distant difference between chastisement and punishment. Your Father’s anger with your sin will never blaze into wrath against you, though in mercy He will smite your sins.

As for the sickness in your household, the fretting over your beloved cats, your friend’s many ailments, your diet and your courtship, here is a wonderful thing: our deliverance is accompanied with health and strength. There was not one feeble person among their tribes. Cast all these cares upon Him. And do not merely endure, but declare. If we had no troubles, we would have less to declare. After trouble and deliverance, let your voice be: “I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord.”

Sinner, do not doubt your deliverance, for God has said it: “I have found a ransom.”

You speak of spiritual warfare that has hounded you since youth, and you ask for an end to it. But why do you expect an end to battle while you still live in this flesh? You have not yet resisted unto blood, striving against sin. A soldier who puts on armor must not think of ease. This life is no banquet hall; it is the very scene of conflicts. If you seek relief from every attack, you are asking to leave the field before the victory is won. The Lord permits us to be tested so that we learn to despise death and sin, not to escape all discomfort. He delivers us not by removing the lion, but by giving us strength to shut its mouth.

Your body is not evil, but you have made it a sewer. The fantasies you entertain as you fall asleep are a self-chosen madness, a demoniac frenzy that turns your eyes and mind into a sink of lust. Yet the same body can be an arm of righteousness. It was not made for uncleanness. When you give in to those thoughts, you flee the battle and surrender your weapons to the enemy. Do not say, “I am depressed, so I use them as an outlet.” Depression is no excuse for sin; it is a summons to sober vigilance. In warfare, the soldier who grows weary does not abandon his post to the enemy but cries out to his Commander and stands firm. You have yielded your members to iniquity; now recall that you serve not a tyrant but a King, and you have been furnished with strong armor: truth, righteousness, faith. The Commander is ever ready to help; He has already delivered you before from the lion’s mouth. Will He not deliver you from every evil work? Yet you must do what He commands: flee from the fantasies, cry out to God in the moment of temptation, and refuse to make your bed a brothel.

You say you are overwhelmed by the demands of others and you want to be left alone. Consider, is this maladaptive daydreaming anything but retreat? You hide in a world of imagined ease because you hate the toil of the present moment. But there is no safe corner on a battlefield. You must set a better schedule, govern your days with discipline, and take hold of the duties God has given you, not escape them. Two jobs? Seek wisdom, but do not multiply your cares so much that your soul suffocates. Whether you stay or go, let all be done for the glory of God. As for your courtship, your call is not merely to be a helpmeet but to preserve purity and to stir one another toward heaven. If any affection leads to the same foul thoughts you battle, cut it off.

Pray for the sick, the cats, your diet, these things are not indifferent; yet see them in proportion. The greater battle is for the mind and soul. Do not spend all your strength on secondary cares while sin devours you. The African American community, like all people, needs deliverance from false teachings, but let your own heart be set free first.

In short, watch, fast, pray. The hour is not for sleeping, nor for dreaming, but for the clash of arms. The Lord did not promise us a life without tribulation, but He promised to be with us in the fight. Therefore, do not ask merely for an end to warfare; ask for grace to war a good warfare, with your loins girt about and your lamp burning. Then the dreams will lose their power, the thoughts will be silenced, and you will stand firm.

What you are carrying is heavy, and the Lord is not indifferent to it. Scripture pulls back the curtain enough to show that real spiritual attack can go on for years without God losing hold of a person. Job was not told what was happening behind the scenes. There was a struggle over his life that he could not see. The enemy had studied him and gone after his weak places, yet God had not abandoned him. So I am asking God to break the power of the attacks that have targeted you since childhood, to guard your sleep, and to silence the dreams that keep tormenting you. Ask him to make your bed a place of safety and to keep your mind when you are too exhausted to fight. The enemy presses hardest where you are ashamed and worn down. But the enemy is not sovereign. Jesus is.

The shame over the sexual thoughts is heavy, but shame is not where freedom begins. Confession is. You were set free before, and that same mercy is still yours. Jesus is the mediator Job cried out for, the one who can stand between God and man and bring the guilty near without pretending the guilt away. I am asking the Lord to forgive you, to cleanse your mind, and to break the use of sexual fantasy as an outlet for depression. That outlet is a false comfort that deepens the wound. As you fall asleep, fill your last waking moments with Scripture, prayer, or reading. Do not just fight the wrong thoughts. Replace them. Feed the inner man the same way you are careful to feed your body on the diet your condition requires. The Word of God is what strengthens the spiritual man.

I am also asking for wisdom about your work. You do not need to solve every decision tonight. Lay the question of staying or adding a second job before the Lord and ask him to give you peace about one step at a time. Be careful that the desire for extra work does not become another reason to stay up late and remain overwhelmed. God can provide through one job or strengthen you for two, but seek his will before your own plan. I am asking him to smooth out the difficulties with your coworkers and to give you a schedule that allows real rest. It is not selfish to need solitude. Being needed by everyone while under spiritual attack is exhausting, and your body and mind need recovery.

I am asking for your household as well. I pray the flu would leave your family, that your father's cough would not return, and that those caring for you in your sickness would be protected. I am asking God to heal your cats, to keep them healthy, and to provide for their needs even when you have no money for a vet. The God who notices the sparrow notices them too. I also ask for discipline in your medical diet, and for your close friend who is dealing with so many physical troubles. Ask God to bring real relief and to make you a wise and patient encouragement to him.

I am praying for the African American community to be delivered from false teaching by a growing love for the truth of Scripture. False teaching loses its grip when people learn to feed on the Word itself rather than on clever voices. Ask God to raise up faithful teachers and to give discernment.

Concerning your courtship, I will not pray for sin to be blessed. I will pray that your relationship would be pure, wise, and submitted to Christ. I am asking that you would be a genuine encouragement to your boyfriend in holy things, and that if the Lord wills, this courtship would grow toward a marriage that honors him. Do not let the relationship become another source of temptation. Let it become a reason to pursue purity rather than an excuse to weaken.

Keep crying out to God. Job's friends gave explanations and accusations when he needed God himself. What changed Job was not an answer to every question. It was God revealing himself. That same God knows your name, knows your night battles, and is able to restore what shame and fatigue have worn down.
