Good and Faithful Servant
Please pray for an end to spiritual warfare that has targeted me since I was young. Please also pray for an end to vivid, disturbing dreams that I constantly have - which sometimes are related to the warfare and sometimes are not. Please also pray for me because I'm so overwhelmed and every five seconds, there's something else going on in my life between spiritual warfare attacking me and someone always wanting something from me - I just want to be left alone. Please pray for me to have a better schedule and to stop ending my nights so late. Please pray that God would lead me to new jobs - and possibly the ability to have at least two jobs, one primary and an extra one. I am considering staying now at the jobs I currently have. Please pray for wisdom for me about this and that all issues I have with these jobs would get better for me and my coworkers. Please pray for me to be set free from maladaptive daydreaming and inappropriate sexual thoughts which I keep giving in to especially while falling asleep - and which the enemy seems to be directly increasing temptation toward. The sexual thoughts are really becoming a serious problem in my life and I'm so ashamed. God set me free from sexual sin before. I'm so sad to be falling into it again. 💔 I think because I'm struggling with depression right now, I'm using those thoughts as an outlet. Please pray. Pray that the African American community would be set free from false teachings. Pray for my entire family as we all seem to have the flu - pray that no one caring for me in my sickness would be made sicker while trying to care for me. My father who was the first one to get sick but was getting better now seems to be coughing a lot again. Please pray for three of my cats - two who were scratching themselves too hard and accidentally caused wounds and the other who was making a strange noise with his mouth the other night but seems fine now. Pray that all my cats would be and stay healthy. I have no money for a vet and don't even know of a good one in our area. We love our pets so much. Please pray that I would stay disciplined in eating according to a diet I have to eat on due to a medical condition. Please also pray for a close friend who has fibromyalgia, alpha thalassemia, blood pressure problems, prostate concerns and asthma. Pray that I would be a suitable encouragement and helpmeet to my boyfriend as we continue in courtship. Thank you.

We stand with you in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the One who has already triumphed over all spiritual forces of darkness. Your request touches deeply on the battles many believers face, spiritual warfare, overwhelming burdens, physical afflictions, and the weight of sin’s temptation. We lift all these concerns to the Lord, trusting in His power to deliver, heal, and restore.

First, we rebuke the spiritual warfare that has targeted you since childhood. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that you may have life abundantly (John 10:10). We declare that no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we command every assignment of the enemy over your life to be broken in Jesus’ name. The vivid and disturbing dreams you experience are not from God, for He gives His beloved sleep (Psalm 127:2). We pray that the Lord would guard your mind and grant you peaceful, restorative rest. May He replace every tormenting dream with visions of His truth and love.

You are overwhelmed, and we understand the exhaustion of feeling constantly under attack while others demand your time and energy. Jesus invites you to come to Him when you are weary and heavy-laden, and He will give you rest (Matthew 11:28). We pray that God would grant you wisdom to set boundaries, prioritize your well-being, and establish a schedule that honors Him. May He lead you to jobs that provide for your needs without draining your spirit, and may He open doors for additional work if it aligns with His will. We ask for His guidance as you consider your current employment, that He would resolve conflicts and bring unity among you and your coworkers.

The struggle with maladaptive daydreaming and inappropriate sexual thoughts is a battle for your mind and heart. The enemy seeks to exploit your vulnerabilities, especially in moments of weakness like falling asleep. We rebuke these temptations in Jesus’ name and declare that you are not a slave to sin (Romans 6:6). God has set you free before, and He can do it again. We pray that He would strengthen your resolve to resist temptation and fill your mind with things that are pure, lovely, and praiseworthy (Philippians 4:8). Confess this sin to the Lord, for He is faithful and just to forgive you and cleanse you from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). Do not let shame keep you from His presence, He loves you and desires to restore you. We pray that God would heal your depression and provide healthy outlets for your emotions, replacing despair with His joy and hope.

We also lift up the African American community, praying that God would expose and dismantle every false teaching that leads people away from the truth of His Word. May the Holy Spirit bring revelation, discernment, and a hunger for sound doctrine. For your family, we pray for complete healing from the flu and protection for those caring for you. May the Lord strengthen your father’s recovery and guard him from further illness. For your beloved cats, we ask God to heal their wounds and keep them healthy. Though you lack resources for a vet, we trust that the Lord, who cares even for the sparrows, will watch over them (Matthew 6:26). We pray for discipline in your diet, that God would give you strength to follow the medical guidance that protects your health.

For your friend battling multiple health issues, we ask the Lord to bring comfort, healing, and relief. May He use you as a vessel of encouragement and support, reflecting His love and compassion. As you and your boyfriend continue in courtship, we pray that God would knit your hearts together in a way that honors Him. May you both seek His will for your relationship, growing in purity, mutual respect, and a shared commitment to Christ. Remember, the purpose of courtship is to discern whether God is calling you to marriage, a lifelong covenant between a man and a woman (Genesis 2:24, Matthew 19:5-6). Guard your hearts and bodies against sexual immorality, for your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:18-20).

Let us pray:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up this dear brother/sister to You, asking for Your mighty hand of deliverance and healing. Lord, You see the spiritual battles raging against them, and we declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper. Break every chain of oppression, silence every lying voice, and fill their mind with Your peace. Father, we ask that You would grant them restful sleep, free from tormenting dreams, and replace their fears with Your perfect love that casts out all fear (1 John 4:18).

Lord, we pray for wisdom and strength as they navigate their schedule, work, and responsibilities. Provide for their needs, open doors for employment that aligns with Your will, and bring resolution to conflicts in their current jobs. Heal their body, mind, and spirit from the effects of depression, and deliver them from the grip of sexual sin. Cleanse their heart, renew their mind, and restore their joy in You. We ask that You would heal their family from illness and protect those caring for them. Bring healing to their pets and provide for their needs in ways only You can.

Father, we pray for their friend battling chronic illness, that You would touch them with Your healing hand and grant them strength. May this brother/sister be a source of encouragement and support, reflecting Your love. As they continue in courtship, we ask that You would guide their steps, guard their hearts, and help them to pursue purity and holiness. Set them free from every sinful habit, and fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may walk in victory.

Lord, we trust in Your faithfulness and power to do exceedingly abundantly above all we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20). Strengthen their faith, deepen their relationship with You, and let them experience Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). We thank You for hearing our prayer and for the victory we have in Jesus Christ. In His mighty name we pray, Amen.

Stand firm in the Lord, knowing that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion (Philippians 1:6). You are not alone in this battle, God is with you, and so are we. Keep pressing into Him, seeking His face, and trusting in His promises. The enemy may roar, but Jesus has already won the war.

We hear you, when spiritual battle, disturbing dreams, and the sheer weight of constant demands pile up, it's no surprise you feel overwhelmed and just want to be left alone. It’s especially crushing when old struggles resurface after you thought you’d been set free. Please know we’re not minimizing any of it; we’re carrying it with you.

One thing we’ve seen over the years is that the enemy often hits hardest when we’re exhausted and running on fumes. So even small steps to guard your rest can become a quiet act of war. Could you try choosing a consistent, earlier bedtime this week, not as another heavy rule, but as a way of letting your body and mind recover from the day’s fight? Before you sleep, maybe take a moment to hand each intrusive thought or disturbing image over to Jesus, out loud if you can, and ask Him to stand sentry over your mind. That simple act often loosens the grip of both the dreams and the sexual temptations that ambush you when you’re drowsy.

On the sexual thoughts, shame loves isolation. We’d gently encourage you to talk with a wise, trusted Christian friend or mentor, not to grovel, but to let a little light in. You aren’t starting over from scratch; God’s past work in you is real, and His mercy is fresh right now. A supportive, non-condemning ear can help you spot the roots (depression, loneliness, exhaustion) and face them together.

We’re also praying for clarity about the jobs and for each practical need you named, your family’s flu, your dad’s cough, your beloved cats, your friend’s health, and your diet. And we’re asking God to give you wisdom and purity in your courtship, that you’d be a true encouragement without falling into patterns that grieve His heart.

Let us pray with you: Father, in Jesus’ name, we ask You to still the chaos around our sister and silence the voices that accuse and torment her. Guard her dreams. Give her deep, protected sleep. Break the power of every unclean thought and redirect her imagination toward things that honor You. Grant her wisdom about work and daily rhythms, and bring healing to her family and pets. Restore to her the joy of her salvation and the assurance that nothing can snatch her from Your hand. Amen.

You speak of warfare, and I understand it well. The enemy buffets you with dreams and dark temptations, but there is a peace that gleams with heavenly light even in the midnight of this world of care. You cannot enjoy true peace while sin remains upon the conscience, the more it is enlightened, the more it forbids peace until sin is put away. Yet the blood of Jesus whispers peace within. When you learn that your enormous debt of sin was fully discharged by Him, your heart finds rest. In your crowded, overwhelmed life, to do the will of Jesus is rest indeed.

You are pressed by thronging duties and disturbed by shameful thoughts, falling into sins you once thought conquered. This is the poisoned arrow of the enemy, shot in the very place of your sorrow. Whenever we fall into sin, conscience pricks, and we weep like David. But have you not found, when you confessed your sin, that He lifted the light of His countenance again? Do not go rambling round to find peace, stay in your closet with your God. Deliverance from the pit comes when the Lamb is slain. It is not of him that wills, but of God that shows mercy. You cannot break the iron furnace of sin; the Spirit must bring you forth. Yet your desponding condition, your conviction of sin, is gaining you a clearer knowledge of its evil, and that is a mercy.

The chastisement you feel, the depression, the chronic stress, is not punishment. The Father chastens sorely, but He does not give you over unto death. He smites your sins, but His anger will never blaze into wrath against you. These sore trials may be the very means by which life and health come to your soul. Unbroken prosperity might signal a giving over unto death; your pangs of conscience prove you are not abandoned. Sinner, do not doubt your deliverance, for God has said, “I have found a ransom.”

You long to be set free from maladaptive daydreaming and vile imaginations that seize you as you sleep. Know that sin engenders a second nature; first, a tiny spider’s web, then bands of iron. Deliverance from the power of sin is as much God’s work as deliverance from its guilt. Where you look for justification, there look for sanctification. If you sometimes go into sin as an outlet, it proves you are a stranger to that deliverance. Yet, when a soul sensible of sin throws itself upon the sacrifice of the cross, sin is pardoned, and gratitude says, “I will not go on in this sin.” Cry to Him who alone can snap the chains, and then use the arrows of the Lord’s deliverance, do not be so tender to your sin that you pamper it and make provision for the flesh. Strike the viper’s brood, even when it hurts.

Your sick father, your dear cats, your friend with many ailments, your courtship, cast these upon the Lord. He looks from heaven with tender pity, and in due time He will send deliverance that will be spoken of with praise. For the discipline of your diet, the ordering of your days, and wisdom in your jobs, trust the guidance of Him who has delivered you from the noise of archers. And for the African American community trapped in false teachings, pray that the Spirit may breathe conviction and lead them from the bondage of error into the liberty of Christ.

The blood of Jesus whispers peace within. In this dark world of sin, perfect peace is a present possession. He has not given you over to death; He has chastened you, but He will restore. Look to Jesus, trust Him simply, and you shall find Him mighty to save, even from the pit of your despondency and the snare of your recurring shame.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Remember that the Lord permits temptations not to destroy you but to draw you closer to Himself, even as a loving father allows his child to face small fears so that the child will run back to the safety of his mother’s arms. The very weight of these attacks, the dreams that plague your sleep, the relentless demands of others, the resurgence of old sins, all these are not signs that God has abandoned you, but proofs that you are engaged in a true warfare. And a warfare it is, against unseen enemies who hate your soul. You did not enlist in this battle to be idle; you took up arms to fight. The Commander is ever near, abiding unconquerable, and He has given you strong armor. Do not imagine that your weakness means defeat; He is faithful and will not let you be tempted beyond what you can endure, but with the temptation will also make a way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.

The disturbing dreams and the sudden swell of inappropriate thoughts, especially as you drift toward sleep, belong to that hard warfare. When your body is wearied and your mind unguarded, the adversary presses his assault. But the body itself is not evil; it can be made an instrument of righteousness. That you feel shame is itself a grace, a proof the Spirit has not left you. Do not let the shame turn into despair. Instead, convert that shame into a cry for help. When you gave in before, God set you free. He can do so again. But this time, learn that your own strength is nothing. In every temptation, even those that seem small, you require aid from Him. The depression that makes you seek relief in sinful thoughts is itself a trial; bring that weariness to God rather than to imagined comforts. Shake off the drowsiness of this life. As the night wears on toward dawn, we rouse one another, casting aside the dreams of sleep. So too, cast off these imaginings, and clothe yourself in the armor of prayer the moment you feel the assault. Call upon the Lord, and He will make a swift release.

Your longing for solitude is known to Him. Even the saints found themselves so pressed that they despaired, but God used the very tribulation to humble them and to teach them to flee only to Him. When you feel that every five seconds brings a fresh demand, see it as a summons to constant prayer, a breath lifted to the One who sees. Do not grow weary because relief is delayed. Sometimes He lengthens out our supplication precisely so we may persevere and stay close to Him.

As for the matters of jobs, your diet, the sickness in your household, and your cats: bring them all to God with moderation and without anxiety. Be wise in your decisions, and do not let the cares of this world choke the word sown in you. Tend to your health with discipline, caring for the body as a servant, not a master. Your compassion for your family and your pets is natural and good, but remember that our ultimate hope rests in the God who cares for all. Pray for them and do what you can, then entrust them to His providence. And in your courtship, see that your encouragement to your boyfriend is always toward godliness and purity, that your relationship may be a helpmeet in the truest sense, leading each other toward holiness, not toward any relaxation of the warfare.

You have asked for prayer for the African American community to be free from false teachings; this is a right desire. Contend earnestly for the faith once delivered to the saints, and let your own life be a pillar of truth. And do not forget: the enemy presses you hard because you belong to the King. Those who serve under a tyrant have no such struggles. Rejoice that you are counted worthy to suffer these assaults, for through them the Lord tempers you like steel, represses pride, and demonstrates the treasure of His grace entrusted to you. Stand fast. The night is passing; the day is at hand. Fight the good warfare, holding fast to prayer, and you will yet give thanks for the very humblings that now seem so bitter.

The weight you are carrying feels unbearable because your enemy would have you believe you are fighting alone, and worse, that your repeated failures define you. But the very fact that you see these intrusive sexual thoughts and maladaptive daydreams as sin is not a sign of your defeat; it is a sign of life. The law of God, like a mirror, is not evil. It simply shows us what is already there. You spoke of feeling ashamed because you are falling back into something God once freed you from, and I want you to understand this: there is a vast difference between the presence of a sinful desire and the dominion of that sin. For so long, like many of us, you may have believed that only the physical act was the sin, but God’s standard is deeper. The enemy is capitalizing on your exhaustion and depression, taking occasion by that very knowledge of the law to stir up all manner of covetous and lustful thoughts, especially as you fall asleep when your defenses are down. He is lying to you, telling you that because the thought is there, you are already defeated and might as well give in.

Do not believe that lie. The passage of Scripture that promises sin shall not have dominion over you is not a promise that you will never fail or that the wicked suggestions will immediately cease. It is a declaration of a new master. You are not under the law’s condemnation; you are under grace. In your sorrow over this, you are proving that the Spirit within you wars against the flesh. You were made a sinner by nature, born into a race that fell, but you have been made the righteousness of God in Christ. He who knew no sin literally became the embodiment of sin for you so that the wrath of judgment for these very thoughts was already poured out on that pole. The serpent of bronze was lifted up, and when you look at Jesus, you see your sin judged. The payment is complete. The blood of Jesus doesn’t just cover these thoughts like a temporary lid; it puts them away. It cleanses the guilt even as you walk through this valley.

This deep shame and the desire to isolate and be left alone are often the result of trying to handle the warfare internally before bringing it to the light. As you fight the flu and as you care for your family and your beloved cats, remember that you are not fighting for victory but from a victory already won. Regarding your request for deliverance from these dreams and the spiritual attacks that have plagued you since childhood, the power of the enemy lies in accusation and intimidation. The locusts of the abyss in Revelation could only hurt those who did not have the seal of God on their foreheads. If you are in Christ, you are sealed. The enemy may make a lot of noise, like chariots rushing to battle, but he has no legitimate claim.

Do not let the barrenness of maladaptive daydreaming become a replacement for the rest and restoration your body needs. It is a sin against your own self, a selfish taking of emotional gratification that leaves you hollow and exhausted, contributing to the late nights and the overwhelmed schedule. You’ve yielded your body as an instrument to these thoughts. Now, tonight, as you are falling asleep, actively yield your body to God. When the enemy increases the illicit images, use them as a trigger not for shame, but for a reminder to pray. The very fact that the desire to covet a fantasy is there is a reminder that you need a satisfaction only God can give. Cry out, not in horror, but in dependence. The grace that abounded over Adam’s transgression abounds much more over these cycles of depression and lust.

We are praying for the physical health of your father and your entire household, trusting God’s care for those who minister to you. We lift up your three cats before the Lord, asking that the minor wounds heal and that they remain healthy. We pray for discipline in your diet, for clarity and resolution in your employment, and for a schedule that allows you the physical rest that is a shield against this warfare. We stand with your friend battling fibromyalgia and other concerns, and we ask that your courtship would be a pure reflection of Christ and His bride, full of genuine encouragement rather than selfish taking. For the concerns of your community and family regarding false teaching, we pray that the light of the true gospel of grace would dispel the darkness, for there is only one sin that eternally condemns a person: rejecting the light of Jesus Christ. Stay in that light. Do not hide in the darkness of shame, for the darkness has no power over the light. The death He died, He died to sin once for all. That same life is yours.
