Good and Faithful Servant
Please pray for an end to spiritual warfare that has targeted me since I was young. Please also pray for an end to vivid, disturbing dreams that I constantly have - which sometimes are related to the warfare and sometimes are not. Please also pray for me because I'm so overwhelmed and every five seconds, there's something else going on in my life between spiritual warfare attacking me and someone always wanting something from me - I just want to be left alone. Please pray for me to have a better schedule and to stop ending my nights so late. Please pray that God would lead me to new jobs - and possibly the ability to have at least two jobs, one primary and an extra one. I am considering staying now at the jobs I currently have. Please pray for wisdom for me about this and that all issues I have with these jobs would get better for me and my coworkers. Please pray for me to be set free from maladaptive daydreaming and inappropriate sexual thoughts which I keep giving in to especially while falling asleep - and which the enemy seems to be directly increasing temptation toward. The sexual thoughts are really becoming a serious problem in my life and I'm so ashamed. God set me free from sexual sin before. I'm so sad to be falling into it again. 💔 I think because I'm struggling with depression right now, I'm using those thoughts as an outlet. Please pray. Pray that the African American community would be set free from false teachings. Pray for my entire family as we all seem to have the flu - pray that no one caring for me in my sickness would be made sicker while trying to care for me. My father who was the first one to get sick but was getting better now seems to be coughing a lot again. Please pray for three of my cats - two who were scratching themselves too hard and accidentally caused wounds and the other who was making a strange noise with his mouth the other night but seems fine now. Pray that all my cats would be and stay healthy. I have no money for a vet and don't even know of a good one in our area. We love our pets so much. Please pray that I would stay disciplined in eating according to a diet I have to eat on due to a medical condition. Please also pray for a close friend who has fibromyalgia, alpha thalassemia, blood pressure problems, prostate concerns and asthma. Pray that I would be a suitable encouragement and helpmeet to my boyfriend as we continue in courtship. Thank you.

We hear your cry for help, and we stand with you in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we have access to the Father and the only name by which we can be saved. You are not alone in this battle, and we join you in prayer, seeking God’s deliverance, healing, and wisdom.

First, we rebuke every spirit of oppression, torment, and spiritual warfare that has plagued you since your youth. The enemy has no authority over you, for you belong to Christ. We declare that the blood of Jesus breaks every chain and sets you free from these vivid, disturbing dreams and the attacks of the enemy. The Word of God tells us, "For though we walk in the flesh, we don’t wage war according to the flesh; for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds" (2 Corinthians 10:3-4). We take authority over every demonic influence in your life and command it to flee in Jesus’ name. You are a child of God, and no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17).

We also address the sexual sin that has been a struggle for you. We understand the shame and guilt you feel, but we want to remind you that God’s grace is greater than any sin. The enemy uses temptation to isolate and condemn, but Christ offers forgiveness and restoration. The Bible says, "No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it" (1 Corinthians 10:13). We pray that you would resist the devil, and he will flee from you (James 4:7). Confess this sin to the Lord, and He is faithful and just to forgive you and cleanse you from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). We also encourage you to guard your heart and mind, especially as you fall asleep. Fill your mind with Scripture and prayer, and ask the Holy Spirit to help you take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ (2 Corinthians 10:5).

We pray for your emotional and mental well-being, as the overwhelm and depression you feel are real and heavy. The Lord sees your weariness and invites you to cast all your anxieties on Him because He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). We ask that God would give you rest, peace, and a renewed mind. We also pray for wisdom regarding your schedule and your jobs. The Lord knows your needs, and He promises to provide for you. Seek His kingdom first, and all these things will be added to you (Matthew 6:33). We pray that He would open doors for new opportunities and give you clarity about whether to stay at your current jobs or pursue something new. May He also heal any tensions or issues with your coworkers, bringing unity and peace.

For your physical health and the health of your family, we pray for complete healing from the flu and protection for those caring for you. The Lord is your healer, and by His stripes, you are healed (Isaiah 53:5). We also lift up your cats, asking the Lord to bring healing to their wounds and keep them healthy. The Lord cares for all His creation, and we trust Him to watch over them. For your diet, we pray for discipline and strength to follow the guidelines you need for your health. May the Lord sustain you and give you the grace to honor Him with your body.

For your friend with fibromyalgia and other health struggles, we pray for God’s healing touch and comfort. May the Lord strengthen him and give him relief from pain. We also pray for your courtship with your boyfriend, that you would be a godly encouragement and helpmeet to him. Remember that marriage is a sacred covenant between a man and a woman, and it is designed to reflect Christ’s love for the church (Ephesians 5:22-33). We pray that your relationship would honor God and that you would both grow in faith and love for Him.

Finally, we pray for the African American community, that God would expose and dismantle every false teaching and draw hearts back to the truth of His Word. May the church stand united in the gospel of Jesus Christ, proclaiming freedom and salvation to all who believe.

Let us pray:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up our brother/sister to You, asking for Your deliverance from spiritual warfare, disturbing dreams, and every attack of the enemy. Break every chain, Lord, and set him/her free from oppression. We rebuke every spirit of temptation, especially in the area of sexual sin, and ask that You would strengthen him/her to resist the devil and stand firm in faith. Forgive him/her, Lord, and cleanse him/her from all unrighteousness. Fill his/her mind with Your truth and peace.

Father, we ask for Your wisdom and guidance regarding his/her jobs, schedule, and daily life. Provide for his/her needs, Lord, and give him/her rest and peace. Heal his/her family from the flu and protect them from further illness. We also pray for healing for his/her cats and ask that You would provide for their care.

For his/her friend, we ask for Your healing touch and comfort. Strengthen him in body and spirit, Lord. And for his/her courtship, we pray that You would guide them both in godliness and love for You.

We pray for the African American community, that Your truth would prevail and that hearts would turn to You. May Your church be a light in the darkness, proclaiming the gospel of Jesus Christ.

We thank You, Lord, for Your faithfulness and love. We trust in You, knowing that You are our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.

We hear how heavy all of this feels right now, the sheer relentlessness of it. When spiritual attacks have dogged you since childhood, and life keeps piling on more demands, exhaustion isn’t a failure; it’s the natural result of a long battle. And the shame you’re carrying over the sexual thoughts and the daydreaming? That shame itself is often one of the enemy’s most effective weapons, because it isolates you and makes you feel too dirty to reach out. But you did reach out. You named it. That took courage, and we’re grateful you trusted us with it.

You mentioned depression may be driving some of this, using those thoughts as an outlet when you’re drained. That’s not an excuse; it’s a real pattern worth paying attention to. When we’re depleted, our defenses drop, and old struggles flare up with new intensity. That doesn’t make you hopeless; it means addressing the depletion is part of the spiritual fight right now.

One small, concrete place to start: your schedule and your late nights. You asked for prayer about ending your nights earlier. Is there one small shift you could make this week, just fifteen minutes earlier than usual, not as another exhausting rule to keep, but as a way of putting a gentle boundary around your need for rest? Rest is not laziness; it’s a form of resistance when your body and mind are under siege. And while we’re praying for your work decisions and your family’s health, we’d also gently encourage you, since your father’s cough is lingering and your friend has several complex conditions, to see a doctor when possible. Prayer walks alongside practical care, not instead of it.

Father, we lift up our sister who is so tired. We ask You to shield her mind in the vulnerable moments of falling asleep, and to break the cycle of shame and temptation that has gained ground in her exhaustion. Quiet the vivid, disturbing dreams. Grant her wisdom about her job situation and daily rhythms, and give her permission to rest without guilt. Heal her family and her dear cats. Surround her with Your mercy, and remind her that You do not stand at a distance while she struggles, You sit with her in it. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

You have opened your heart in great detail, and I hear the cry of a soul pressed beyond measure. From youth the adversary has dogged your steps, and now the battle rages fiercely. Yet remember, the Lord your God is He that goeth with you, to fight for you against your enemies, to save you. The Captain of our salvation hath bruised the serpent’s head; resist him, steadfast in the faith, and he will flee. The enemy would shoot his most poisonous arrow, whispering that your sins are too great, that God’s ear is shut, that deliverance is gone forever. This is the very temptation which hath overcome so many. But know this: your Redeemer found a ransom, and He will not let you go. The blood that cleansed you once can cleanse you again. Though your own heart condemn you, God is greater than your heart, and knoweth all things.

Concerning those vivid and disturbing dreams, commit your sleeping hours to Him who neither slumbers nor sleeps. Fill your mind with holy meditation before you lie down, and the peace of God shall garrison your thoughts. You feel overwhelmed and long to be left alone; this is not sinful, our Master Himself often withdrew into the wilderness to pray. But let your solitude be a retreat for communion, not an escape for sin. Order your days with diligence, and especially end your nights early, for the late hours are the playground of temptation. You pray, “Lead us not into temptation,” but take heed not to walk deliberately into its path.

Now to that which seems most to pierce you: the vain imaginations and the return of fleshly lusts. You are ashamed, and well you may be, for sin is a shameful thing. But let your shame drive you to the cross, not to despair. The same power that broke the chains before can keep them broken now. Yet you must not dally with the thought, nor give place to it even for a moment. When the unclean suggestion comes as you fall asleep, fill every chink of your mind with the Word of God. Say a psalm upon your bed: “I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for thou, Lord, only makest me dwell in safety.” Cry aloud in your heart, “O Lord, deliver my soul!” In your melancholy you have sought a perverse comfort in these thoughts; such relief is poison. Though you walk in darkness, trust in the name of the Lord and stay upon your God.

As for your employment, wait on the Lord and He shall give you wisdom. Whether you stay or go, let your labour be as unto Him, and He will make even a hard yoke easy. Pray for your coworkers, and seek to be a peacemaker. The Lord will direct your steps concerning a second position if it be His will.

I join with you in prayer that the African American community may be loosed from false teaching. The truth of the gospel is the one key that unlocks every prison-house; may the Lord raise up faithful witnesses to scatter these lies like chaff.

Your household is smitten with influenza, and your father’s cough returns. The Lord is the Healer; in His wings is healing for all our diseases. I pray that not only the sick recover, but that those who nurse them be strengthened and remain well. As for your cats, these little creatures are part of your charge, and He who notes the fall of a sparrow will not forget them. Lacking means for a vet, you have the open ear of the Good Shepherd. Commit them to Him. Likewise, ask grace to be disciplined in your diet, for the body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, and you must not defile it by breaking the rules your health requires.

Your friend, so afflicted with many infirmities, is held in the grip of chronic pain. Pray for him, but also visit him with the balm of a cheerful countenance full of the hope of glory. Remind him that these light afflictions are but for a moment. You desire to be a suitable helpmeet in courtship; the truest help you can render is to grow in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to adorn the doctrine of God our Saviour in all things. Let your conversation be chaste, coupled with fear, encouraging him in the faith.

You are compassed about with manifold troubles, but you are not delivered into the hand of the enemy. He brought you out of Egypt with silver and gold of grace; He will perfect that which concerneth you. Though He chasten you sorely, He will not give you over unto death. You shall live, and declare the works of the Lord. Take heart; the night is far spent, the day is at hand. Cast your burden on the Lord, and He shall sustain you. The Lord bless thee, and keep thee. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

I hear the weight of all you carry, and I see how the enemy presses in from every side. But stand firm: no temptation has seized you except what is common to man. God is faithful, and He will not allow you to be tested beyond what you can bear, but with the trial will also provide the way of escape, so that you may be able to endure it. These spiritual attacks that began in your youth are not outside His governance. He permits them not to crush you, but to draw you closer, as a loving parent might allow a sudden fright to send a child fleeing back to safe arms. When you feel overwhelmed, run to Him in prayer, and stay there.

The sexual thoughts that shame you are not new to our weak nature, but you must not surrender. Indulgence turns the soul into a sewer; you know this truth, and you have known freedom before. The wicked one intensifies the lure especially when you are tired and depressed, yet every refusal strengthens you. Do not treat your heaviness of heart as a reason to seek comfort in sin. Instead, bring your sorrow to the Healer Himself. As for the wandering daydreams, they are a form of excess, a flight from present duty. Call your mind back with discipline to what is pure and true.

Your late hours and tangled schedule add unnecessary weight. Seek moderation in all things; the body must be ruled, not coddled, and a well-ordered life brings quietness. About the jobs, pray for wisdom and trust providence. Even when the way is unclear, know that tribulation produces patience and proven character. Do not be consumed with anxiety over the sickness in your home, the cats, or your friend’s many ailments, but in everything make your requests known to God with thanksgiving. He numbers even the small sparrows.

You desire to be a suitable help to your young man; guard your conduct with purity and your speech with grace. And for the community you named, persist in prayer that false teaching would be rooted out and the truth embraced.

Above all, do not seek your rest in this life. We are on a voyage full of danger, but the hope stored up for you in heaven cannot be shaken. These present troubles are light and fleeting, working for you an eternal weight of glory. God will make a way; endure, and do not lose heart.

Thank you for writing with such transparency about what you are facing. The weight of spiritual warfare is real, and it has clearly been a long, exhausting battle that has targeted your mind, your body, and your peace. You are right to recognize that these attacks are not merely natural, they come from spiritual forces that seek to overwhelm and discourage. And because the battle is spiritual, the weapons must be spiritual as well. Prayer, faith, and the Word of God are not passive ideas; they are the very means by which the enemy is pushed back. So I am joining you in that fight, lifting up all these burdens to the Lord.

When you describe the inappropriate sexual thoughts and the temptation that comes especially as you are falling asleep, I want you to understand something important. The law of God was never given to make us righteous by our own effort. It was given to expose sin for what it is, even the desires and imaginations of the heart. That awareness of sin is meant to bring you to the end of yourself, not to leave you in shame. You mentioned that God set you free before, and that is the grace you need again right now. Depression and weariness can make those thoughts feel like a momentary escape, but they only deepen the bondage. What you are experiencing is a battle for control of your mind. The way to stand is not through raw willpower or by drowning in guilt, but by yielding your body to God. When the thought rises, confess it immediately. Turn to a verse you have hidden in your heart, or simply cry out to Jesus. He was made sin for you so that you could be made the righteousness of God in Him. You are not a slave to those desires. Sin shall not have dominion over you, because you are not under law but under grace.

The vivid dreams and the sense of being targeted since childhood are part of that same spiritual conflict. The enemy attacks in the realm of the spirit, often when you are asleep and your defenses feel low. But prayer is a decisive weapon. Ask God to set a guard over your mind at night, to silence the accuser, and to grant you restful sleep. His truth is greater than any nightmare or disturbance. As you pray, trust that the finished work of Christ has disarmed the powers of darkness. They have no ultimate authority over you.

I hear your cry to simply be left alone, and that is not a sinful desire. Even Jesus withdrew from the crowds to spend time with His Father. I am praying for wisdom as you navigate your schedule so that you are not ending your nights so late, and that you can find moments of quiet to be renewed. I am also asking the Lord to give you clear direction about your jobs, whether to stay or go, and to bring resolution to the difficulties with your coworkers. He cares about every detail, including the practical need for a second job.

Your family’s sickness, your father’s persistent cough, your cats’ health, your diet, your friend’s many ailments, none of these are too small for God’s concern. I am praying with you for healing, for daily discipline, and for provision, knowing that the Maker of all things looks after what He has made. And as you continue in courtship, may the Lord shape you into a wise and godly encouragement, building a relationship that honors Him.

You are not alone in this battle. The only sin that eternally condemns is the rejection of Jesus Christ, and you are clinging to Him. Therefore, no matter how fierce the warfare feels, you are safe in His hands. Keep using the spiritual weapons He has given, and keep bringing every struggle into the light of His presence. Grace abounds over every place where sin has tried to take hold. Stand firm, and do not be ashamed to call on Him moment by moment. I am praying.
