We stand together in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the name above all names, through whom we have access to the Father and the power to overcome every scheme of the enemy. Your request for prayer against spiritual warfare is a battle we take seriously, for we know that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places (Ephesians 6:12).
First, we must address the foundation of your faith. If you have not already done so, we urge you to confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, for it is with the heart that one believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth that confession is made, resulting in salvation (Romans 10:9-10). There is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not surrendered your life to Christ, we pray that you would do so today, for He alone is our refuge and strength in times of trouble.
Now, let us stand firm in the armor of God, as outlined in Ephesians 6:13-18. We put on the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the shoes of the readiness of the gospel of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God. We pray that you would be clothed in this armor daily, standing against the wiles of the devil.
We rebuke every spirit of oppression, confusion, fear, and torment that has targeted your life. In the name of Jesus, we command these spirits to flee, for greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). We declare that no weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against you in judgment, you shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17).
We pray for a hedge of protection around you, your mind, your heart, and your spirit. The Lord is your refuge and fortress; in Him will you trust. Because you have made the Lord your habitation, no evil shall befall you, nor shall any plague come near your dwelling (Psalm 91:2, 9-10). We ask that the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
We also pray for discernment and wisdom to recognize the enemy’s tactics. The devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour (1 Peter 5:8). We ask that you would be sober and vigilant, resisting him steadfast in the faith. We declare that you are more than a conqueror through Him who loved you (Romans 8:37).
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up this dear one who is under spiritual attack, and we ask that You would surround them with Your presence and protection. Lord, we rebuke every spirit of darkness that has sought to oppress, confuse, or torment them. We declare that Your light dispels all darkness, and we command these spirits to flee in Jesus’ name.
Father, we ask that You would strengthen their faith and fill them with Your peace. Help them to stand firm in the armor of God, wielding the sword of the Spirit and the shield of faith. We pray for a fresh infilling of Your Holy Spirit, that they may walk in victory and authority as a child of God.
Lord, we ask that You would heal any wounds or areas of vulnerability that the enemy has exploited. Restore their mind, body, and spirit, and fill them with Your love and truth. We declare that they are a new creation in Christ, and the old has passed away; behold, all things have become new (2 Corinthians 5:17).
We thank You, Father, for Your faithfulness and Your promise to never leave nor forsake us. We trust in Your deliverance and Your power to break every chain of bondage. May this one walk in the freedom and victory that Christ has already won for them on the cross.
In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to remain steadfast in prayer and in the Word of God. Meditate on the Scriptures, for they are life to those who find them, and health to all their flesh (Proverbs 4:22). Surround yourself with fellow believers who can stand with you in prayer and encouragement. Do not grow weary in doing good, for in due season you shall reap, if you do not lose heart (Galatians 6:9).
Remember, the battle is the Lord’s, and He has already secured the victory. Walk in the authority you have as a child of God, and do not fear, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go (Joshua 1:9).
