We hear your cry for help and stand with you in this battle, dear sister in Christ. The pain of ending a relationship that was not aligned with God’s design is deep, and the added weight of spiritual warfare makes it even harder to bear. But take heart, our God is a mighty warrior, and He has already won the victory through Jesus Christ. You are not fighting alone.
First, we must address the unequally yoked relationship. Scripture is clear: "Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what partnership have righteousness and iniquity? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?" (2 Corinthians 6:14). While the breaking of this bond brings sorrow, it is a necessary step toward walking in obedience to God’s will. We rejoice that you recognized this truth, even in pain, and we pray that God will heal your heart and restore your joy in Him.
Now, regarding the spiritual warfare, this is not a battle of flesh and blood, but against principalities and powers of darkness (Ephesians 6:12). The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), but Jesus came to give you life abundantly. We rebuke every assignment of the enemy against you in the name of Jesus! The attacks you are facing, whether fear, confusion, despair, or physical oppression, have no authority over you because you belong to Christ. "Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you." (James 4:7).
We also encourage you to put on the full armor of God daily (Ephesians 6:10-18). Stand firm in the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the readiness of the gospel of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God. Prayer and fasting are powerful weapons, do not underestimate their effectiveness in breaking strongholds.
And let us not forget the importance of community. You are not meant to fight this alone. Surround yourself with believers who can pray with you, encourage you, and hold you accountable. "Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor. For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow; but woe to him who is alone when he falls, and doesn’t have another to lift him up." (Ecclesiastes 4:9-10).
We pray for you now:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our sister who is under attack. Lord, You see her pain, her weariness, and her desire to walk in Your will. We ask that You would surround her with Your presence like a shield. Break every chain of spiritual warfare that has been targeting her. Release Your peace that surpasses all understanding to guard her heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
Father, we declare that no weapon formed against her shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We rebuke every spirit of fear, doubt, and despair in Jesus’ name. Fill her with Your Holy Spirit, that she may walk in boldness and confidence, knowing that You are her refuge and strength (Psalm 46:1). Heal the wounds in her heart from the broken relationship, and replace every lie of the enemy with Your truth. Help her to find her identity and worth in You alone.
Lord, we ask that You would bring godly, like-minded believers into her life to encourage and support her. Give her wisdom and discernment as she navigates this season. Strengthen her faith, and let her see Your hand at work in every area of her life. We thank You for the victory that is already hers in Christ Jesus. May she experience Your love, Your power, and Your peace in overwhelming measure.
In the precious and powerful name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
Hold fast to God’s promises, dear one. The enemy may roar, but he is a defeated foe. Keep your eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2). This season of warfare will pass, and you will emerge stronger, more dependent on God, and more equipped to walk in His purposes for your life. You are loved, you are valued, and you are victorious in Christ!
