Spiritual warfare

This subject is something I would like to get some disccusion going around. I have a confirmed gift of discerning spirits. Does someone here have the gift and how does it manifest?

Trough the gift of discerning I have seen things in spirit. I have seen peoples eyes turning in white or yellow. I have sometimes been able to tell if a persons actions are affected by spirits. And I am able to feel the presence of enemy and the Holy Ghost as well. There seems to be season when this gift is more active.

I post this blog post to get discussion going and to share experiences whit others who have this gift. I post this under the title of spiritual warfare because this gift goes under that topic and I would like to discuss on spiritual warfare as wider topic as well.

What comes to spiritual warfare I have seen dreams where I figth demons. Usually they are in form of person or shadowy figure and I have driven them away in the name of Jesus.

Another kind of dream that has occured mutliple times is this: I wake up or feel like that I am woke but I am in dream. I try to snap the ligths on but I can't ligth them and my house remains dark. Then I start to panic as I can't get ligths on. Then I try to go out but I can't go out since doors are locked and I can't get them open. I start to feel heavy lile darkness trying to suffocate me and then I say that in Jesus name ligths back on now and begone darkness. I repeat this three times and wake up. This dream has repeated few times.

After I moved into my new house I saw a dream on first nigth in the house. In the dream a big shadowy fogure attacked me but I drove it out in Jesus name. After this dream in my new flat there has been no dreams where darkness invades my house and I can't get out or put ligths on.

There has been many other kinds dreams I have seen and things that gift of discerment has allowed me to see. But I share them later if Lord so allows.

Well then some of my thoughs on spiritual warfare. Like in all things in spiritual warfare we must have order. And we must have goals.

Let me give on exsample. Using my own family here. There is lot of problems in my parents lifes and all those areas are something that need prayer. But praying over those problems is not priority, first priority is to pray that they come to know God. Just like Matthew 6 teaches us seek first the kingdom of God. Unless this is the number one priority in our spiritual warfare it is useless and we waste our ammo so to speak.

And as prayer and word of God are our weapons in the warfare we must know where to focus them. And how to use them. Do we use them to compat singlep problems like some spesific sin or do we use them to know God more and keep his ways. And when we pray for others do we first pray for them to know the Lord more?

Bible teaches us to worship and pray in spirit and truth. (1 Cor. 14:15, John 4:24).

So order in warfare.

Let me ask few questions:
What is a goal of spiritual warfare? And why we experience it?
What are our weapons?
