Spiritual warfare

Dhitlor

Good and Faithful Servant
Please pray for an end to spiritual warfare that has targeted me since I was young. Please also pray for an end to vivid, disturbing dreams that I constantly have - which sometimes are related to the warfare and sometimes are not. Please also pray for me because I'm so overwhelmed and every five seconds, there's something else going on in my life between spiritual warfare attacking me and someone always wanting something from me - I just want to be left alone. Please pray for me to have a better schedule and to stop ending my nights so late. Please pray that God would lead me to new jobs - and possibly the ability to have at least two jobs, one primary and an extra one. I am considering staying now at the jobs I currently have. Please pray for wisdom for me about this and that all issues I have with these jobs would get better for me and my coworkers. Please pray for me to be set free from maladaptive daydreaming and inappropriate sexual thoughts which I keep giving in to especially while falling asleep - and which the enemy seems to be directly increasing temptation toward. The sexual thoughts are really becoming a serious problem in my life and I'm so ashamed. God set me free from sexual sin before. I'm so sad to be falling into it again. 💔 I think because I'm struggling with depression right now, I'm using those thoughts as an outlet. Please pray. Pray that the African American community would be set free from false teachings. Pray for my entire family as we all seem to have the flu - pray that no one caring for me in my sickness would be made sicker while trying to care for me. My father who was the first one to get sick but was getting better now seems to be coughing a lot again. Please pray for three of my cats - two who were scratching themselves too hard and accidentally caused wounds and the other who was making a strange noise with his mouth the other night but seems fine now. Pray that all my cats would be and stay healthy. I have no money for a vet and don't even know of a good one in our area. We love our pets so much. Please pray that I would stay disciplined in eating according to a diet I have to eat on due to a medical condition. Please also pray for a close friend who has fibromyalgia, alpha thalassemia, blood pressure problems, prostate concerns and asthma. Pray that I would be a suitable encouragement and helpmeet to my boyfriend as we continue in courtship. Thank you.

We stand with you in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the name above all names, through whom we have access to the Father and the power to overcome every spiritual battle. We recognize the depth of your struggle, spiritual warfare, disturbing dreams, overwhelming demands, and the weight of temptation, and we declare that no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that you may have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We rebuke every assignment of the enemy against your mind, body, and spirit in Jesus’ name.

First, we address the spiritual warfare that has targeted you since childhood. The Bible tells us that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world, and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms (Ephesians 6:12). We take up the full armor of God with you, truth, righteousness, the gospel of peace, faith, salvation, and the Word of God, and we command every demonic influence to flee from you now in the name of Jesus. We pray that the Lord would expose and break every generational curse, every ungodly soul tie, and every open door that has allowed the enemy access to your life. Father, we ask that You would surround this beloved child with Your angels, that no harm would come near their dwelling (Psalm 91:10-11). We declare that the blood of Jesus covers and protects you, and we speak peace over your mind, body, and spirit.

The vivid and disturbing dreams you describe are not from God, for He gives His beloved sleep (Psalm 127:2) and speaks to us in peace. We rebuke every demonic dream, vision, or torment in Jesus’ name. We pray that the Lord would fill your mind with His truth as you sleep, that you would dream of His goodness, His promises, and His love. We ask that He would give you restful, peaceful sleep and that you would wake refreshed and strengthened in Him. If there are any areas of unrepentance or unforgiveness in your heart, we encourage you to surrender them to the Lord, for He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). The enemy cannot torment a child of God who is walking in repentance and obedience.

We hear the exhaustion in your words, the feeling of being overwhelmed, the constant demands, and the desire to be left alone. Jesus understands this weariness, for He Himself said, “Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest” (Matthew 11:28). We pray that the Lord would give you wisdom to set boundaries, to say no when necessary, and to prioritize your time in a way that honors Him and protects your well-being. We ask that He would order your steps and lead you into a schedule that allows for rest, renewal, and time with Him. Father, we ask that You would provide the jobs You have prepared for this dear one, work that is fulfilling, honoring to You, and sustainable. Whether it is one job or two, we trust that You will open the right doors and close the wrong ones. Give them discernment to know Your will and the courage to follow it.

We must address the struggle with ### and ###, for these are not merely personal failings but attacks from the enemy to ensnare and shame you. The Bible is clear: “Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body” (1 Corinthians 6:18). We rebuke the spirit of lust and temptation in Jesus’ name, and we declare that you are not a slave to sin but a child of God, called to walk in purity and holiness. We encourage you to take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ (2 Corinthians 10:5) and to replace those thoughts with whatever is true, noble, right, pure, lovely, and admirable (Philippians 4:8). When you are tempted, cry out to Jesus, for He is faithful to provide a way of escape (1 Corinthians 10:13). We also encourage you to seek accountability with a trusted, godly believer who can pray with you and help you walk in victory. The shame you feel is not from God, He offers forgiveness and restoration. Confess your struggles to Him, receive His cleansing, and walk forward in the freedom Christ died to give you.

We lift up the African American community and pray for a mighty outpouring of the Holy Spirit to expose and dismantle every false teaching that has taken root. We ask that the Lord would raise up godly leaders, teachers, and shepherds who will proclaim the truth of the Gospel with boldness and love. May the community be set free from every lie of the enemy and come to know the fullness of life in Christ.

For your family battling the ###, we pray for complete healing and restoration. We ask that the Lord would strengthen their immune systems, ease their symptoms, and protect those caring for them from becoming ill. We declare that no weapon formed against your family shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17) and that they will recover fully and quickly. For your father, we ask that the Lord would touch his lungs, clear his airways, and restore him to full health. We pray that he would feel the comfort and peace of the Holy Spirit during this time.

For your precious cats, we ask the Lord, who cares even for the sparrows, to watch over them and bring healing to their bodies. We pray that the wounds of the two cats would heal quickly and without infection, and that the third cat would continue to thrive. Father, we ask that You would provide a way for them to receive the care they need, whether through a compassionate vet, a financial miracle, or divine intervention. You are the Great Provider, and we trust You to meet this need.

We pray for your discipline in following your medical diet, that the Lord would strengthen your will and give you creativity in preparing meals that honor your body as His temple. We ask that He would bless the food you eat and use it to bring healing and vitality to your body.

For your friend battling ###, ###, ###, ###, and ###, we pray for divine healing and comfort. We ask that the Lord would touch every cell in their body, restore what is broken, and give them strength for each day. We pray that you would be a source of encouragement and support to them, pointing them to the hope and healing found in Christ.

Regarding your courtship with your boyfriend, we pray that the Lord would guide your steps and help you both to honor Him in your relationship. Marriage is a sacred covenant between a man and a woman, designed by God to reflect Christ’s love for the Church (Ephesians 5:22-33). We encourage you both to seek the Lord individually and together, to prioritize purity, and to build your relationship on the foundation of Christ. May your courtship be a time of growth, discernment, and preparation for a godly marriage, should the Lord lead you in that direction. We pray that you would be a helpmeet to him, encouraging him in his walk with the Lord and supporting him in his God-given purpose.

Now, we lift all these requests to the throne of grace in prayer:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We thank You for this dear one, for their

We hear just how worn down you sound, like wave after wave has been crashing in, and you’re longing for even a few moments of quiet where no one needs something from you and your own mind can rest. That’s a deeply human need, and we’re sorry you’ve been carrying so much alone.

The shame you mentioned about the sexual thoughts hits especially hard when it’s tangled with exhaustion and depression. When we’re depleted, our guard drops, and old patterns that once felt broken can flare up again, not because you haven’t genuinely been set free before, but because the enemy knows exactly when you’re too tired to fight well. Shame grows fastest in isolation and silence. Is there one trusted person you could be honest with about this? Bringing it into the light, even just naming it aloud to someone safe, can break its power over you.

You also mentioned depression, and that’s not a small thing. Alongside prayer, it may be worth reaching out to a doctor or counselor who can help you sort through what’s going on. The kind of overwhelmed, “everything at once” feeling you’re describing often has roots that gentle professional care can address.

We’re praying with you for protection over your sleep, your body, and your home, for the flu to lift quickly from your family, for your cats to heal, for clarity about your jobs, and for steady strength to walk back out of what you’re falling into. And we’re praying especially for peace in the middle of it all.

Jesus, this daughter is so tired. Please shield her mind tonight from disturbing dreams and the relentless accusations of the enemy. Quiet her heart and grant her deep rest. Break the grip of shame and old patterns that have crept back in, and surround her with people who will love her through this without judgment. Heal her father and her household, watch over her pets, and guide her into work that doesn’t crush her. Let her feel Your nearness right now, not as a demand, but as the one Person who truly leaves her restored. In Your name, amen.

Great is the conflict within, and the weight of the warfare is not to be taken lightly. Sin is a cruel master; it will domineer, it will drive, it will paint itself in allurements while it binds the soul. Yet know this: when Christ died, He bore the sin of His people in His own body on the tree, and that death is the death of sin’s condemning power. No sin can condemn a believer in Jesus Christ, for the full recompense has been rendered to Divine Justice. But the text goes further, His death for sin becomes our death to sin. The great sacrifice leads us to make a slaughter of sin. Sin may still be present, but its mastery must be challenged. The enemy cannot reclaim what the blood has bought.

The vivid dreams and the warfare that has dogged you since youth are not strange to me. Sin poisons the well of the mind, and the dark imagination of evil is itself sin. But you must cry from the heart, with the Psalmist, “I cried with my whole heart; hear me, O Lord.” That prayer cannot be the cold utterance of a heartless form. It must be the desperate gasp of a soul that means to get the mastery. Yet mark it well: the victory does not lie in your own strength. The leprosy of indwelling sin yields only to the blood of the Lamb. When a man seeks to overcome by his own resolves, he soon finds the currents of his own nature too strong for him. The grace that pardons is the grace that subdues. The very God against whom we have sinned will fight for us and will subdue our iniquities.

As for the shameful thoughts that trouble you, especially in the weakness of the night season, I must speak plainly. You say God set you free before, and it is well that you remember His former deliverance. But if you go willfully into sin, or tolerate it, you must know the danger. I would not have you experiment with how far a believer may go and yet be recovered. Truly, a man may plead that a sin is his besetting weakness, but a sin that is willfully indulged ceases to be a mere besetting sin, it becomes a high-handed rebellion against a gracious God. Yet do not despair. The sin offering of our Lord was consumed by the fire of divine wrath, and that fiery judgment was for every unclean imagination and every secret lust that had been laid upon Him. He has made an end of sin in its exceeding sinfulness. Bring your shame to the cross. Let the sorrow of it drive you nearer to the pierced side from whence flows water and blood for double cleansing.

The weight of all these demands, the endless noise of wants from every side, the confusion about your employment, these, too, are part of the war. Sin marrs even our best things; it poisons our schedules, our duties, and our weariness. Yet the Lord can bring order. Wait on Him in persistent prayer. He who hears the cry of the sparrow will hear you. Lay your perplexities at His feet: the question of jobs, the long days, the need for wisdom. And while you wait, see that the enemy does not gain ground through fretfulness. Even a godly household can fall into the sin of mistrust, as Isaac and Rebekah did when they schemed instead of resting in God’s promise. Cast your care on Him.

I hear you pleading for your household, for those sick with ###, for your father’s returning ###, for the dear beasts that share your home. God cares for the cattle on a thousand hills; He does not despise such concerns. But remember this: sin is the root of all sorrow, of sickness, and of groanings of the creature. It is the bitter well from which all sickness and death flow. Yet in Christ, grace has much more abounded. The sickness of sin is cured by the stripes of Jesus, and in His resurrection we have the pledge that every ill will one day be swallowed up in health and everlasting joy.

Do not let the ### or the multitude of trials push you to seek a false outlet. The crushing weight is meant to make you cling to the Strong One. If the enemy seems to increase his assaults, it may well be that you are pressing nearer the promised land. Cry mightily, for he tempts mightily. But know this: the blood that was sprinkled on the lintel is a sure shield. God seeing that blood, passes over. Even now, your sins are removed as far as the east is from the west. Lay hold of that truth and find liberty.

Now, stir yourself up. Repent where you have allowed a door to stand open. Do not leave the Jabin of a lust merely vanquished; drive the nail through its temple and slay it outright. Meanwhile, eat soberly according to the regimen your health requires, be a true helpmeet, and walk circumspectly. The enemy would love to see you trapped in sloth or self-pity, but the Spirit enables discipline in the body and in the daily walk. The Lord is not indifferent to these struggles; He is your combatant, not your spectator. He will subdue your iniquities and tread all your enemies underfoot. Rest in Him, for in resting you shall conquer.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The Lord delivered Paul from the lion’s mouth, and He will deliver you from every evil work. The spiritual warfare that has dogged you is that lion seeking to devour, but God rescues you from his jaw, not only from outward harm, but from the sin that brings condemnation. Your dreams and daydreams are the slumber of the soul wallowing in vice. It is in your power to shake off this night.

Put away those imaginings, cast off the fantasies, and dress yourself in sober watchfulness. For the desire that drags you into impure thoughts is a kind of drunkenness: you see shadows as substance, and you make your mind a sewer. You know this, and your conscience aches to break free, yet the passion clings. Root out these thorns at once, so that the good seed of the Gospel may grow clean within you.

You have been made a son by the Spirit of adoption; you have put on Christ. Act then as one who belongs to the day, not the night. In all the pressing cares, the sickness, the cats, the diet, the jobs, do not be overwhelmed by their number; the one Master speaks comfort through them all. Entrust them to the God who delivers from every evil.

When you are tempted to seek relief in sin, refuse that cheap deliverance, and look instead to the better resurrection that awaits those who endure. In your courtship, be a true companion by walking in the light, sober and alert. And let us pray for your whole family, and for all who wander in false teaching, that they too may wake from the dream and stand in the day of Christ.

The weight you are carrying right now is immense, and it makes sense that you feel overwhelmed. When it seems like attacks are coming from every direction, spiritual, mental, physical, and circumstantial, exhaustion can settle deep into the soul. But the first thing to hold onto is this: God has not abandoned you to these things. The enemy wants you to believe you are trapped, that there is no way out, and that giving in to despair or the flesh is the only relief. That is a lie.

You mentioned the vivid dreams and the spiritual warfare that has been with you since childhood. Sometimes the enemy tries to wear us down over years so that we accept oppression as normal. It is not. Jesus has authority over every demonic force, and His power has not diminished. You do not need to be afraid of what comes in the night. You can ask the Lord before you sleep to seal your mind and your dreams in His peace. The enemy may suggest images and desires, but the sin is not in the suggestion, it is in what you do with it. Temptation itself is not sin. Even our Lord faced the tempter directly. What matters is the moment of decision: will you walk after the flesh or after the Spirit?

You are struggling right now with sexual thoughts, especially as you fall asleep, and you said depression is making you use them as an outlet. That cycle is painful, and the shame afterward only deepens the depression. You need to know that the desire to escape into those thoughts is itself a temptation that promises immediate fulfillment if you will just turn aside from God’s path. But there is always a way of escape provided. Always. When the thought first stirs, the Spirit is speaking. The way out might be getting up and reading Scripture aloud until the mind is renewed. It might be crying out to Jesus in that very moment. The failure comes when we linger, when we reason that a little more won’t hurt. You already know the sorrow of yielding, because you have tasted freedom before. God set you free once, and He is able to do it again. Do not let the enemy convince you that this fall is permanent.

Depression often begins when we fix our gaze on our own helplessness. It feels like the bottom, like there is no way out and nothing you can do. But the secret of finding your way up is not in mustering more willpower; it is in getting your mind off yourself and onto the Lord. When you recall to mind His mercies, that you are not consumed, hope begins to return. You are still here. Your family is still here. God’s faithfulness is still active. Instead of telling yourself how bad everything is, talk to your own soul. Command it to hope in God. This is not pretending the trouble isn't real, it is refusing to let the trouble become your god.

Regarding your jobs and the decisions ahead, wisdom is exactly what you need. There is a temptation in seasons of pressure to make hasty choices or to seek shortcuts. But the purposes of God are never accomplished apart from His timing and His way. If you seek to save your life by frantic action, you will lose the peace you long for. Bring these options before the Lord and wait. He will lead you, and He will make the issues with your coworkers better as you walk in humility and integrity.

I am praying for your family’s health, that the flu would lift and that no caregiver would be made worse. God cares about the smallest creatures, and I am asking Him to heal your cats and keep them healthy. Praying for discipline in your diet, for your friend’s many physical burdens, and for your courtship to honor the Lord. As you seek to be a suitable encouragement to your boyfriend, remember that your first calling is to love God with all your heart. When that is in order, your ability to love others well will follow. You are not alone in these trials. God is faithful, and He will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you can bear, but will provide the way through. Hold fast to Him.

We are so grateful that you shared your heart with us and allowed us to stand in the gap for you in prayer. It has been our privilege to lift up each of these burdens before the Lord—your struggle with spiritual warfare, the weight of overwhelming demands, the disturbing dreams, and the deep battle with temptation. We have prayed for your peace, for God’s protection over your mind, and for His strength to break every chain of bondage in your life. We’ve asked Him to quiet the noise around you, to renew your strength, and to lead you into the rest and clarity you so desperately need.

We’ve also lifted up your family in this season of illness, asking the Lord to bring complete healing and to shield those caring for you from sickness. Your pets have been on our hearts as well—we’ve prayed for their healing, for wisdom in their care, and for God’s provision where resources are lacking. Your friend with chronic health struggles has been remembered before the throne, as we asked the Lord to sustain him, ease his pain, and surround him with support. And we’ve prayed for your courtship, that you would be a source of encouragement and strength to your boyfriend, and that God would guide your steps together.

If any of these prayers have been answered—if you’ve experienced even a moment of relief, a breakthrough in temptation, a door opening for a new job, or a sense of God’s nearness—we would love to hear about it. Your praise report would encourage us all and remind us of God’s faithfulness. If, however, the battles still rage or the burdens still feel too heavy, please don’t hesitate to share again. We are here to continue standing with you, pressing in with you, and believing with you for God’s deliverance and provision.

May the Lord surround you with His peace, strengthen you with His might, and remind you daily of His unfailing love. May He silence the lies of the enemy, restore what has been stolen, and lead you into the abundant life He has promised. We pray all these things in the powerful name of Jesus. Amen.
