Good and Faithful Servant
Please pray for an end to spiritual warfare that has targeted me since I was young. Please also pray for an end to vivid, disturbing dreams that I constantly have - which sometimes are related to the warfare and sometimes are not. Please also pray for me because I'm so overwhelmed and every five seconds, there's something else going on in my life between spiritual warfare attacking me and someone always wanting something from me - I just want to be left alone. Please pray for me to have a better schedule and to stop ending my nights so late. Please pray that God would lead me to new jobs - and possibly the ability to have at least two jobs, one primary and an extra one. I am considering staying now at the jobs I currently have. Please pray for wisdom for me about this and that all issues I have with these jobs would get better for me and my coworkers. Please pray for me to be set free from maladaptive daydreaming and inappropriate sexual thoughts which I keep giving in to especially while falling asleep - and which the enemy seems to be directly increasing temptation toward. The sexual thoughts are really becoming a serious problem in my life and I'm so ashamed. God set me free from sexual sin before. I'm so sad to be falling into it again. 💔 I think because I'm struggling with depression right now, I'm using those thoughts as an outlet. Please pray. Pray that the African American community would be set free from false teachings. Pray for my entire family as we all seem to have the flu - pray that no one caring for me in my sickness would be made sicker while trying to care for me. My father who was the first one to get sick but was getting better now seems to be coughing a lot again. Please pray for three of my cats - two who were scratching themselves too hard and accidentally caused wounds and the other who was making a strange noise with his mouth the other night but seems fine now. Pray that all my cats would be and stay healthy. I have no money for a vet and don't even know of a good one in our area. We love our pets so much. Please pray that I would stay disciplined in eating according to a diet I have to eat on due to a medical condition. Please also pray for a close friend who has fibromyalgia, alpha thalassemia, blood pressure problems, prostate concerns and asthma. Pray that I would be a suitable encouragement and helpmeet to my boyfriend as we continue in courtship. Thank you.

We hear the depth of your struggle, and our hearts ache with yours as we come before the throne of grace on your behalf. You are not alone in this battle, our Lord sees every tear, every weight, and every unseen attack of the enemy. The Word declares, "For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places" (Ephesians 6:12). The warfare you describe is real, but so is the victory we have in Christ. We take authority over every demonic assignment sent to torment you, every lying dream, and every scheme of the enemy to steal your peace. In the name of Jesus, we break every chain and command every spirit of fear, oppression, and perversion to flee from you now.

The vivid and disturbing dreams you endure are not from God, for He gives His beloved sleep (Psalm 127:2) and speaks to us in peace. The enemy seeks to wear you down through exhaustion, but we pray that the Lord would guard your mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7) and replace every tormenting vision with the sweet rest of His presence. We also rebuke the spirit of overwhelm that has left you feeling suffocated by the demands of others. Jesus Himself said, "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest" (Matthew 11:28). We pray that you would experience His rest in every area of your life, your schedule, your work, and your heart. May the Lord grant you wisdom to set boundaries, prioritize your time, and say no when necessary, trusting that He will provide for every need.

Your struggle with maladaptive daydreaming and sexual temptation is not a battle you face alone. The enemy knows your weaknesses and seeks to exploit them, but God’s grace is greater. We stand with you in agreement that He would "deliver you from the evil one" (Matthew 6:13) and break every stronghold of lust in your life. The shame you feel is not from the Lord, He calls you to repentance, not condemnation (Romans 8:1). We pray that you would flee from temptation (1 Corinthians 6:18) and fill your mind with whatever is true, honorable, just, pure, lovely, and commendable (Philippians 4:8). The Lord has set you free before, and He will do it again. We declare that your mind and body belong to Christ, and we command every unclean spirit to loose its grip on you in Jesus’ name.

Regarding your courtship, we pray that you and your boyfriend would grow in godly love, patience, and mutual edification. The Bible instructs, "Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers" (2 Corinthians 6:14), and we trust that your relationship is grounded in Christ. May you both seek the Lord’s will together, honoring Him in purity and purpose as you discern whether marriage is His plan for you. We also lift up the false teachings in the African American community, praying that the truth of God’s Word would prevail and that hearts would turn to sound doctrine (2 Timothy 4:3-4). May pastors and leaders arise who preach Christ crucified, not the wisdom of men.

For your family’s health, we pray healing over each one of you. The flu has no power over those who trust in the Lord, for "by His stripes we are healed" (Isaiah 53:5). We ask that the Lord would strengthen your father and protect those caring for you from further illness. For your beloved cats, we pray for divine health and provision. The Lord cares for even the sparrows (Matthew 10:29), and we trust He will meet their needs. May He guide you to a trustworthy vet if needed and provide the resources to care for them.

We also lift up your friend battling multiple health conditions, asking the Lord to sustain him and grant him relief. May you be a vessel of encouragement to him, pointing him to the Great Physician. For your diet and discipline, we pray that the Lord would strengthen your resolve and help you honor Him with your body (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). And for your work situation, we ask that the Lord would grant you wisdom to know whether to stay or seek new opportunities. May He open doors of favor and improve every relationship with your coworkers.

Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, our Savior and Deliverer. We ask that You would break every chain of spiritual warfare over this dear one’s life. Silence the enemy’s voice in their dreams and fill their mind with Your peace. Set them free from every sin that so easily entangles and restore their joy in You. Heal their family, provide for their needs, and surround them with Your protection. Grant them wisdom in their courtship, their work, and their health. May they walk in the freedom Christ died to give them, and may Your name be glorified in every area of their life. We ask all these things in the powerful name of Jesus, the name above every name. Amen.

We hear the weight of everything piling up at once, spiritual attacks that won’t let up, disturbing dreams, constant demands, and the shame that settles in when old struggles resurface. When you’re already worn thin, it makes sense that falling asleep becomes ground zero for intrusive thoughts and daydreaming. You’re not beyond hope, and this return of an old battle doesn’t undo the freedom God gave you before. He’s still holding you, even when you feel too tired to fight well.

One small, concrete thing you can do tonight: pick a fixed bedtime that lets you wind down before you’re completely exhausted, and spend the last few minutes with a simple prayer of surrender rather than leaving your mind unguarded. When those sexual thoughts or daydreams intrude, quietly speak Jesus’ name, not as a formula, but as a deliberate turn toward the One who already broke that power once and can steady you again. Holding onto that rhythm can start pushing back against the chaotic feeling that every five seconds something else is coming at you.

Regarding the jobs, we’d encourage you to write down the pros and cons of staying versus pursuing something new, and then ask God to give you peace about the next step, not all the steps at once. You don’t need to solve everything tonight.

We’re lifting up your whole household, your father, your cats, and you, for physical healing, and asking for stamina to stick with your diet without letting discouragement tip you into old escapes. For your friend and your courtship, we’re praying you’ll be a steady, encouraging presence without trying to carry burdens meant for God alone.

Jesus, please quiet the warfare and the dreams, and let this sister feel Your strong, near presence. Break the cycle of shame and unwanted thoughts; give her a mind fixed on You as she falls asleep. Grant wisdom about her jobs, restoration of health in her family and pets, and the strength to care well for her body. Renew her hope and let her feel permission to rest in You. In Jesus’ name, amen.

You speak of a warfare that has hounded you from youth, and you are bewildered by the unceasing assaults. Yet consider this: the archers of the enemy ever aim their most poisoned darts where the victory is most contested. When sin crouches at the door, when the suggestion leaps upon you in the drowsy hour before sleep, just where the sin has been, Satan marks, and then he sends a suggestion. He shoots this arrow very often, whispering that God’s ear is shut, that He will never move His arm to work deliverance. But he is a liar from the beginning. Your feeling of being overwhelmed, that every five seconds brings a fresh trouble, this is no proof of His abandonment but the very smoke of the battlefield. Do not doubt your deliverance, for God has said, “I have found a ransom.”

You confess a fall into those shameful sexual thoughts and speak of it as an outlet for depression. You mourn, like David, that the sin God once freed you from has entangled you again. It is a mercy that your heart smites you. The man dead in sin feels no pangs; he looses himself to degrading lusts without a thought. But you, you hunger to be delivered. That hunger itself is a proof of spiritual life. What does a man gain by being in such a sorrowful condition, convicted of sin and full of fears? By the work of the Holy Spirit, he obtains a clearer knowledge of the evil of sin. You see the pit you were drawn from, and you loathe the brink once more. Now, hear this: you must not try to heal yourself by your own resolutions. Deliverance from sin is solely by the power of God. If you have been born again merely from your tears and promises, you will go below; you must be born from above. Look to Jesus for that deliverance. Looking to Him, He will deliver you from that disease which now makes you love sin as a false comfort against your depression, and He will give you a taste for holiness. He turns lions into lambs.

Your schedule is a wreck, your body fights sickness alongside the household, and the very beasts under your roof seem to suffer. The exhaustion you feel is that of a soldier who has not slept. Yet the promise is for the strengthening of the entire spiritual constitution. You must stoop to glean the spiritual nutriment God has for you in your daily duties. Go to Him with the fatigue, but let your first cry be for cleansing. When you confess your sin, has He not lifted up the light of His countenance upon you before? He will not let His child know the joy of His smile while the child plays with sin, for sin marrs that peace, but He still loves His own. That peace is substantial, purchased at the cross. Go and sin no more. But when you fall, and you cry out in the bitter ache of it, remember that He comes with weeping to call you back from the grave of your lust.

As for the malady of your mind, those vivid and disturbing dreams, when the mind is wearied and the body is ill, the enemy finds a wide door. Do not entertain the thought that these night terrors are a sign of final reprobation; rather, view them as the ragings of a defeated foe against a city he knows he must soon quit. Your plea to be “left alone” is the cry of a wounded spirit, but it is in the quiet place on your knees that you find strength. Be much in supplication, and he that is mighty on his knees is mighty everywhere, even over the phantoms of sleep. The Lord Jesus works a deliverance by divine power, not by our own resolutions against maladaptive dreaming. He brings forth the captive.

Your heart is heavy for your boyfriend, for you wish to be a suitable helpmeet. Take heed then to the trailing garment of your own sin which might entangle your feet and trip you up, for if you fall, an opponent wins a prize. The greatest help you can give him is a soul walking in conscious, God-given freedom from sin. Your prayers for your jobs, your colleagues, your family and the poor creation around you, the cats with their wounds, are all heard by the Master of every household. But lay hold of this: He who delivers you from the pit where you are as full of sin as an egg is of meat, this same Lord will supply the wisdom for the lesser yet distracting cares. Grace knits together again the ties which sin has loosed. You are not yet called to resist unto blood, striving against sin. Stand firm then, look to the ransom He has found, and count the conquest already won by His Spirit.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The trials that assail you are not beyond what is common to man, for no temptation has overtaken you that is not such as you can bear. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it. That you have wrestled with these things from youth is a sign not of divine abandonment but of the opponent’s desperation. Yet know this: permissions of temptation come often that we may flee continually to God as a child to a mother’s bosom. When the enemy presses hard and the dreams distort your rest, do not despair. Cry out all the more, and persist until relief comes. The delay is not his will to harm but to teach us perseverance.

The sexual thoughts that haunt you and the maladaptive daydreaming are the hidden things of shame which we are called to renounce. You know the sting of it already: the blush of remembrance proves the reality far worse. Do not handle the word of God deceitfully by professing faith while entertaining those fantasies in secret. They lead to death, but God’s mercy has freed you before and can free you again. The shame you feel is a medicine, not a tomb. Let it drive you to confession and to cutting away the fuel. When you lie down to sleep, guard your mind like a city at war. Fill it with psalms, prayers, or even plain weariness from honest labor rather than the fodder of images. The enemy magnifies the temptation because you are weakened by depression, but depression is not an excuse for sin; it is the very ground that prayer and discipline must reclaim. Do not use a moment’s misery as an outlet for what you know defiles. Stand and endure.

Concerning the swirl of duties and demands, I say: a disciple’s schedule is often overwhelmed, yet the Lord does not press beyond our strength forever. Seek a better order, but not as the world seeks. Do not chase riches or multiply jobs merely from anxiety. Foolish desires entangle many, but a quiet life with contentment is great gain. If you must add work, let it be for necessity, not for luxury or to escape other struggles. Pray for wisdom, and then act with simplicity. The issues with coworkers can soften when you carry the cross of patience and refuse to repay evil for evil.

For your father and all sick in your household, lift them up with hope. Physical affliction is also a temptation that can spark greater trust. May they be shielded, and may no caregiver stumble. As for your cats, it is not foolish to care for creatures placed in your path. Pray in faith, and do what your hands find to do.

Your friend with many ailments needs your steady encouragement more than heavy words. Suffering refines the faithful, and you can be a companion in the furnace.

Regarding your courtship, aim to be an encouragement and help without forsaking purity. Let your conduct be such that no shame attaches to your name. Despise the world’s false ease and build on the foundation of Christ alone.

This present storm will pass. The gospel’s predictions are firm: there will be tumults, but nothing shakes God’s promises. Endure, and the way of escape will appear.

This battle you describe is very real, and you are right to name it for what it is. The warfare you have felt since childhood is not against flesh and blood, but against spiritual entities in high places. The enemy would love for you to believe you are simply overwhelmed by circumstances or trapped by your own mind, but it runs deeper. There is a spiritual conflict constantly unfolding, and the flack from that warfare often lands right in our thoughts, our dreams, and our bodies. Yet the same truth that exposes the battle also brings the solution: the weapons we need are not carnal. You cannot simply will yourself out of this or organize your schedule into peace. The armor and arsenal God has given are spiritual; His Word hidden in your heart, faith in His promises, and persistent prayer are the decisive forces.

That warfare targets the mind with vivid, disturbing dreams and a flood of sexual thoughts, especially in the vulnerable moments when you are drifting toward sleep. Do not be deceived into thinking these are just harmless fantasies or a side effect of depression. The law of God, which is spiritual, reveals that even the strong desire itself is sin, not merely the act. Sin seizes the opportunity, and what begins as a mental escape quickly makes you a slave again. You know the shame and sadness of returning to what God once set you free from, and that heavy sorrow is exactly right, it is the echo of your new nature grieving because you have yielded your body and mind to disobedience. But the good news is that sin shall not have dominion over you. The old life is dead, and you have been brought into a spiritual life through Jesus Christ. His death did not merely cover your sin; it put it away. Every act of uncleanness, every failure of thought, was atoned for. So the answer is not to wallow in guilt but to turn sharply and yield yourself to God as one who has been made alive from the dead.

When those thoughts rise, do not entertain them or fuel them with daydreaming. Immediately bring the weapon of prayer to bear, cry out silently, name the attack for what it is, and ask the Spirit to bring to mind a promise or verse. You are right to see that depression weakens your defenses, but do not use that as an excuse; use it as a signal to lean harder on grace. Grace did not merely cancel your debt; it breaks sin's mastery. Give your body to God, not as an outlet for carnal comfort, but as an instrument of righteousness. The shame you feel can be lifted if you will walk in the light and confess it. God is faithful to forgive and to cleanse.

As for the rest, the jobs, the sick family and pets, the demands that never stop, this too is part of the press of a fallen world, but pray with all supplication in the Spirit about every piece. Prayer is often the deciding factor. You do not need a better schedule as much as you need to learn to retreat into the strong tower of God's presence even in the middle of the chaos. Ask Him for wisdom about the jobs and trust that He will direct your path. Intercede for your boyfriend, for your friend with so many health burdens, and for your father. And for the community you mentioned, the only way out of false teaching is for Christ to be lifted up, so pray that the light of the true gospel would break through.

Do not neglect the physical care bound up in diet and rest. The body is not the main battlefield, but neglecting it can dull your watchfulness. And as you care for those cats and for your family, remember that the same God who sees the sparrow sees these small concerns too. Bring them all to Him.

The enemy wants you so buried under the pile of stressors that you forget the decisive victory has already been won. Sin was judged fully on the cross. The law is spiritual, and in your flesh dwells no good thing, but you are not in the flesh if the Spirit of God dwells in you. When the voices of accusation or enticement howl, hold up the shield of faith and remember: you are not fighting for victory; you are fighting from victory. Be sober, be vigilant, and let deliverance flow, not because you are strong, but because the Conqueror lives in you. I am praying with you that the peace of Christ would garrison your mind and that you would find rest for your soul even in the midst of the storm.
